About: I have experience caring for dogs through both long-term and everyday responsibilities, including helping raise my aunt’s dog from puppyhood and regularly caring for my boyfriend’s dog. My responsibilities have included walking, feeding, playtime, maintaining routines, and providing companionship to help pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I already spend a lot of time caring for my own cats. I make sure they’re fed, comfortable, and getting plenty of attention and playtime throughout the day. I even take my cat on walks, so I’m very attentive to both physical activity and emotional enrichment. Caring for animals is something I genuinely enjoy, so being patient, observant, and consistent with their routines comes very naturally to me. II believe pets communicate their needs through their behavior and body language, so I always pay close attention to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and understood. I respect each pet’s boundaries while also giving them plenty of attention, playtime, and care. In both my home and a client’s home, I focus on keeping pets comfortable, maintaining their routine, and making sure they don’t feel lonely or stressed while their owner is away.

About: I've had dogs since I was 5 (I'm 36). Cats I never had my own-- although I am getting kittens very soon :) -- but I have pet-sit for 2 cats of a good friends for 9 years whenever he left town. I also had a neighbor with anywhere from 7-15 cats growing up, and many (but not all) of those cats loved me. I am looking to build this into a primary source of income. I have closed weekends per the default availability, but please inquire and I will do my best to make time on weekends as well. I allow them to explore my house supervised in order to feel comfortable and knowledgeable about their surroundings. I have a space in the middle of the house that will be for pet toys / chewing / napping / etc.

I have two dogs, one is a beagle/dachshund mix that is 3 years old and a 10 month smaller sized lab/hound mix that are both under 30 pounds and live in a two floor condo with no yard. I am able to walk dogs and do pop in visits to check on your dogs.

We had an initial meet and greet, and then she even came back a day or two before the booking just to reacquaint herself with the dogs—which really put me at ease. She followed all of my instructions to a T, she was prompt, and kept me consistently updated with messages and adorable pictures. I could tell my dogs really bonded with her. Honestly, when I got back home, I felt like they were looking around for *her* instead of me—which is probably the best sign of all! The house was left just as I had left it, and I truly appreciated the level of care and respect she showed both to my pets and my home. I've already shared her info with a few friends who also struggle with the high cost of boarding, the risks, or even the guilt of leaving senior dogs in unfamiliar places. This experience was ideal because my pups got to stay in their own environment, which really reduced their stress and anxiety. In addition, I didn't have to worry about them being around other dogs which could lead to unexpected injuries or even sickness. I highly recommend Erica and will definitely be booking with her again for any future sitting or drop-in visits needed!”

About: I’m a medical student at VCU on summer break and missing my own pets at home. I’ve walked neighborhood dogs and fostered shelter dogs and cats for several years and have volunteered walking dogs at Richmond Animal League (RAL) for the past year. I’m responsible, hardworking, and dependable and looking forward to meeting you and your pets! I’m a medical student on summer break for the next couple months and will be doing research remotely from home so my schedule is very flexible and I can adapt my timing to yours. I’m comfortable caring for your pets in my apartment having fostered pets here in the past or coming to your home. I’ve worked with shy dogs, energetic pups, playful puppies and everything in-between! I’m comfortable with a range and have also given medications and done some training if that’s something that needs to be continued.

About: My name is Nick and I am a teacher in Chesterfield county looking to use my love for animals as a way to make some extra money over the summer. I have had dogs and cats growing up my whole life and currently have a dog named Bagel and a cat named Friday. I also have lots of experience dog/cat sitting for friends and family over the years ever since I was in high-school. I am a teacher so I won’t be working during the summers so I will have unlimited time during the day/night to take care of your pets and their needs! Once the school year starts I can do weekends and afternoon/nights! I have a lot of energy myself so if your pets love to get exercise/play around I am very up for that. I also try to be very thorough with the pet care instructions and will ask questions/for clarification to ensure I am giving your pet the best care as possible.

I work full time currently and will transition to full time student in Fall 2026.
