“Marissa was kind, communicative, calm, and flexible. My flight home got cancelled and I had to rebook my return trip a day later. Marissa immediately agreed to extend her services when I told her what was going on. When I (finally) made it home, Peaty was happy and well-cared for and my apartment was pristine. Would work with Marissa again in a heartbeat!”

“Emily was great! This was my first experience with Rover and I couldn’t have picked a better person. She was great with my puppy Lola and kept me updated during my whole work trip. She was trustworthy and really just made the whole experience so easy. My Lola was so happy when I got home and looked very well taken care of. Thank you Emily!”
“Victor was an exceptional guest and a wonderful caretaker for my two dogs. He followed all instructions carefully, maintained great communication while I was away, and most importantly, my dogs absolutely adored him. The house was spotless when I returned! Victor went above and beyond to ensure everything was in order, and I felt completely at ease knowing my pets and home were in such capable hands. I would not hesitate to welcome him back again. Highly recommended!”

“Emily was fantastic!!! She was able to come on short notice to watch my blind dog while I was at an appointment, pictures were sent while I was out and more importantly my lil man was kept safe and cared for!! Talk about peace of mind she made my day worry free, Thank You So Much!”

“Joe was amazing with our dogs! Every day I had updates with photos and videos and overall messages about their day and how they were doing. He was so attentive with them. In the past I have always worried every day I was gone from them and could never enjoy myself on vacation and I did not feel that way when he was watching my babies. I couldn’t recommend him enough and will definitely make him a number one choice when we need a sitter again! Thanks Joe!”

About: I’ve personally have two dogs and one cat, but taken care of many more. Puppies, potty accidents, senior dogs, grouchy cats. I love them all! Looking to gain more professional experience with different animal personalities. I am a former dog foster for the Richmond SPCA and Beagles & Bentleys. My availability is mostly open during the week, and fully open on the weekends. I will work any day of the week but would prefer advance request for weekend. My home has already been made pet friendly and has the space to accommodate 1-2 more pets (depending on size) as I do have two of my own. I like to get a sense of how the pet feels about his / my home to establish their level of comfortability and trust.
“Briana is patient and kind. She's responsive to my messages and connected to my babies so well. I felt comfortable leaving my babies with her, especially Durga. I could tell she genuinely connected with her during the Meet and Greet. I would recommend her.”

“Violet has stayed with our two dogs and cat multiple times and takes great care of them (and our house). She's communicative. sends pictures and updates, allowing us relax and not worry about home while traveling because we know everything is in good hands. We highly recommend Violet!”

“Rosemary is an absolute delight and such a professional! Left our house as she found it (if not cleaner) did a few extra house things and most importantly kept my babies safe, fed and super happy! Loved all the pictures and updates.”

“Celeste was great with our menagerie of somewhat quirky animals. We were out of cell service for the majority of our booking, but I appreciated coming back to pictures and happy animals. They were respectful if the space. Would definitely recommend and book again!”

About: I am an animal husbandry professional, specializing in reptile and small mammal care. I have formerly volunteered with the SPCA and dog sat periodically for 10 years— on top of caring for my own pets ! As an animal care professional, I have started every day with routine animal husbandry for a variety of animals; I have cared for mammals, reptiles, and invertebrates for over five years. In my home life, I have lived with cats and dogs. Currently, I only have a cat at home and I keep a feeding and cleaning daily routine. When caring for pets in your home, or walking pets, I aim to provide an enrichment and exercise focused care practice. Enrichment is a fundamental need of all animals and I believe in equally caring for their mental and physical needs. While walking pets, I walk with them at their pace and am happy to implement general training practices such as the focus command. While watching pets for an extended period, I prioritize meeting their needs on their regular routine and frequency/intensity so as not to disrupt their regular behaviors and needs.
About: I’m attentive, dependable, and genuinely love getting to know each dog’s personality and routine. I grew up around dogs (my mom fostered Bostons) so I’m comfortable with dogs who have different temperaments, energy levels, and needs. I’m also happy to update you with photos and messages if that makes you more comfortable, so you can feel confident your dog is happy and well cared for while you’re away. I follow instructions closely, whether that means sticking to a specific feeding or walking schedule, giving extra attention to a senior dog, or making sure a high-energy pup gets plenty of exercise and playtime. I'll be the next-best thing for your furry loved one to having you there. I work online and have a flexible schedule. I like to get outside as often as possible and am athletic, so will take any chance I can get to walk (or run) around. Also happy to just sit around for pets and snuggles. I care for pets by keeping their normal routines as consistent as possible. I follow each owner’s instructions for feeding, walks, medication, playtime, and bedtime, and I make sure pets get plenty of attention and companionship throughout the day. Again, I’m happy to send regular updates and photos so you know how your pet is doing. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of their space and keep things clean and secure. My goal is for your pet to feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while you’re away.

Makenzie is the best and did such a great job with my 9 year old high energy shepherd mutt! She was super responsive, sent lots of pictures, and took great care of our house. We hired her two weekends in a row and will definitely call her again for future dogsitting needs.

Collette was a dream sitter. Stayed full time with my senior pups and my house was exactly as it was when I left. No dishes in the sink, no mess. If anything, they are exhausted from being spoiled to pieces. It’s hard to find a sitter who won’t leave the pups alone for hours on end…if you’re looking for someone who truly cares, book Collette!

Celeste was great with our menagerie of somewhat quirky animals. We were out of cell service for the majority of our booking, but I appreciated coming back to pictures and happy animals. They were respectful if the space. Would definitely recommend and book again!

It was Riley's first time dog and house sitting for us, and she did a great job taking care of our girls. From making sure their somewhat-complicated food was prepared correctly to giving our older pups their pills at each meal, she followed all of the instructions to a T. Riley was great about giving us updates on everyone's wellbeing and send good pictures throughout her stay. It was easy to see how comfortable our dogs were with her just a few days in, even our most vocal, sometimes moody girl, Maisy. Thanks or being there to give our girls lots of love while we were away!

Julia has provided excellent care for my senior dog many times over the past few years. She is reliable, caring, attentive, and always makes me feel confident that my dog is in great hands. I truly appreciate the updates and the thoughtful care she provides, especially with an older dog. I highly recommend Julia for anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter!

Jamie was absolutely amazing while staying overnight with our dog, Rudy. From the moment we met her, we felt confident that he was in great hands. She took exceptional care of him, kept him happy and comfortable, and treated him like one of her own. We really appreciated her attentiveness, reliability, and the peace of mind she gave us while we were away. It was clear that Rudy was well cared for and received plenty of attention and affection. We came home to a happy dog and a spotless house. We highly recommend Jamie to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and professional pet sitter. We would gladly book with her again!

We had an amazing experience with Elizabeth during our 10 day trip! She took such wonderful care of our dogs and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. She was communicative, sent us lots of updates and pictures, and it was obvious our pups were happy, comfortable, and well loved. Coming home to happy, relaxed dogs was the best feeling. We truly appreciated all the care and attention she gave them and would absolutely book with her again. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter!
