About: Why I love dog sitting I have been a dog lover since birth, in my lifetime my family and I have owned a few breeds of dogs, including Dalmatian, Black Lab, Collie, Dachshund, and 2 pugs. At 10, neighbors started asking me to watch their pets during the summer time, and by 17 I was volunteering at the local Humane Society. My Senior Project was based off of that volunteer time, where I encouraged people to adopt and donate what they could to such causes. My experience administering medication In pill form, or through food and or water, yes. I am home all day everyday except for occasional appointments. I would be a good fit for a low energy dog that just needs to be kept company and let out regularly during the day. I am unable to provide walks due to being on crutches currently, but I do have a friendly dog for your baby to play with. I am not currently caring for dogs in my home unless they are small, senior dogs or low energy. If that’s your dog, then I will be the ideal companion while you are away. I am a professional dog cuddler, we can just hang out and watch dog tv, or human tv if that’s their jam. They can play with my dog if they’d like, or just hang out. He’s a polite boy.

About: In my life I’ve taken care of 3 mid sized dogs as well as around 8 cats. I’m new to the profession pet sitting and care aside from friends and family but I know that for the rest of my life I want to spend time with our animal friends and learn more about them! I have full availability with scheduling. I have transportation to do in house visits but pickup and drop offs might get difficult depending on the size of your dog. I can make regular stops at your place to do check-ins/feedings/walks. I would be able to do longer visits if needed or even overnight if available.

Shelby did great and provided pictures of our dogs daily so that we could see how they were doing. We were nervous about having a stranger in our home, and were new to having a pet sitter. We usually have had family or have done a boarding facility, but with a cranky, older dog a boarding facility was not an option when going away for a family wedding destination. Shelby was very understanding and willing to work with us so that we felt comfortable while away. I would highly recommend her. When we booked her months ago we had to estimate our arrival time back home for the Rover app, but when coming home after driving for 13 hours the time I put was the last thing I was thinking about. We pretty much arrived hours earlier than she expected and unannounced. Our home was pretty much how we left it and she was just chilling with the dogs, which she didn’t necessarily have to be doing as our contract allowed for her not to stay the night and to leave for periods of time.
