I could tell on Wyatt's meet and greet that Andrea was a compassionate animal care giver. Wyatt took to her immediate and by the end of the visit they were fast friends. I was able to go away with my mind at ease that Wyatt will be well cared for. Andrea sent updates and pictures with every visit letting me know he was okay. I now look forward to getting away more because I know my skittish rescue dog is in good hands. I can't recommend her enough. Thank you Andrea.

Kami has been absolutely wonderful with my shy boy, Milo. She’s incredibly kind, reliable, patient, & communicates so well. The first visit, Milo was hesitant to come out of his crate. Kami gave him space to build his confidence, shared treats, reached out to me to let me know & ensure what she was trying would be what’s most effective for Milo, & made an extra visit to my home just to give him extra space & time. I appreciate knowing the same care, effort, & patience is given to my sweet boy when I have to be away without him. I highly recommend her!

About: I’ve cared for cats and volunteered in cat rescue for over 20 years. I have always been the person friends, family, and neighbors trust with their pets. I currently volunteer in animal rescue, where I care for and foster kittens, senior cats, and cats with medical needs, including administering medications and monitoring their health. As a licensed Community Health Worker with over 20 years in healthcare, I bring patience, attention to detail, and reliability to every visit. I know every pet is unique, so I take the time to learn their routines, provide enrichment and affection, and keep owners updated with photos and detailed visit reports. My goal is for you to have complete peace of mind while you’re away. Pet care is currently one of my main priorities, which allows me to offer a flexible schedule and provide pets with the time and attention they deserve. I’m available for morning, afternoon, and evening visits, as well as weekends and many holidays. Whether your pet needs a quick potty break, medication, playtime, or companionship, I strive to keep their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. I communicate promptly and provide updates and photos after every visit so you always know how your pet is doing. Caring for animals is more than just a job to me—it’s something I’m truly passionate about. I have over 20 years of experience in healthcare, am a licensed Massachusetts Community Health Worker, and volunteer and foster with Canal Cats Rescue, where I regularly care for and foster cats of all ages, including those requiring medications and special medical care. I understand how important it is to earn your trust, so I carefully follow every instruction regarding feeding, medications, walks, litter boxes, and household routines. I treat every pet as if they were my own, ensure doors and gates remain secure, and always provide detailed updates with photos so you can feel confident your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for.

About: Hello, my name is Amanda! I’m an experienced and compassionate pet sitter with 10 years of hands-on experience caring for a wide variety of animals. I’ve worked with puppies, senior dogs, and large breeds, and I’m comfortable watching multiple dogs at once while making sure each pet gets the attention and care they need. I have experience administering oral medications, supporting dogs with special needs (including helping care for a blind dog), and adjusting care routines to fit each pet’s personality and abilities. Safety, patience, and clear communication are always my top priorities. In addition to dogs, I’ve also cared for cats and guinea pigs, so I’m happy to help out in multi-pet households. I am a dog groomer, which has strengthened my understanding of dog behavior, handling, and overall pet wellness. I am available most of the day. I am working as a dog groomer so when I am not working with a dog I am available for pet care! It easy to work my schedule around what a pet parent may need! I can easily crate your dog if needed. I will keep your animal in designated areas if directed to do so. I am comfortable walking any size dog or if you have a fenced in yard I can watch your dog there.

About: I provide dependable, personalized care so your dog gets exercise, attention, and plenty of affection while you’re away. Whether it’s a quick potty break or a longer walk, I’ll treat your pet like one of my own. I have over 20 years of experience caring for dogs. Having owned multiple dogs myself and taking care of others dogs while they were away on vacation. I work freelance and have a flexible schedule so I can be there when your dog needs me to be. I can also take the time to make sure your dog is getting the attention they need while you are away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I take the time to learn each dog’s routine, personality, and any special needs before every visit. During walks, I always use secure leashes, avoid unsafe situations, and pay close attention to your dog’s behavior and surroundings. For drop-in visits, I’ll make sure your pet has fresh water, food (if needed), potty breaks, playtime, and plenty of affection. I’ll also treat your home with the same care and respect I would my own, making sure doors are locked and everything is left just as I found it. I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages so you know your pet is happy and well cared for.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Wareham stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wareham. On Rover:

  • 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
