Thomas and Sarah walk my boy on the regular. They are very reliable and I never have to work about my pup while working if I have them booked. Peace of mind that he’ll get exercise and lots of love and attention! They update with pics (a mothers joy ☺️) and I can tell they really enjoy caring for my boy.

About: I currently have two dogs. My miniature Aussie, Bonnie, is a 12 year old pup who I have had since she was a puppy. My other pup is a black lab named Spade and she is 13 years old. Caring for these two girls brings me so much happiness that I decided to branch out and offer pet care services. I currently care for one other dog, a vizsla, that is almost 3 years old. He stays overnight with us when his parents are out of town. I also babysit a 10 week old black lab puppy at my house whenever her parents are busy. I am new to offering pet care services but I am well versed in loving and caring for animals. I will treat your animals as if they were my own and can't wait to start meeting them all! Thank you for considering me for your pet care and please reach out with any questions!! I am currently available every Monday - Friday and also weekends and holidays! Please reach out with any questions!! Can’t wait to meet your pups!🥰 I currently am available weekdays and weekends! Morning, afternoon, and evenings. Just let me know which time you need and we can work it out! I have a large fenced in yard with lots of room for running and playing. Our two dogs love the yard and spend a lot of time out there whenever we are home. We have ample toys to share for entertainment! Our dogs love to bring their toys outside to play. The two other dogs I care for love playing in the yard as well. It is never a dull moment with this crew! I do allow our two dogs to lay on the couches with us as well as the other two pups I care for sometimes. I use harnesses on my two dogs for their walks around the neighborhood. I live in a low traffic neighborhood that is great for walking around. I can offer drop ins as well to walk, feed, or play with your pup. I truly love animals, especially dogs, and am so excited to start this journey! Please reach out with any questions or concerns and I would be happy to discuss! Thank you for considering me for your pet care!

About: Growing up on a farm, I have always had a passion for animals. My passion for dogs started with Cody when I was just 5 years old. He was a great mix breed dog who loved playing with frogs just as much as me. Throughout my life, I have cared for dogs of all sizes and various breeds. I have never not shared my home with a dog or 2 or 3. Currently, 2 Great Pyrenees and a dirt road dog fill my bed. I am also a stay at home mom to 4 beautiful children. This allows my schedule to be very flexible. I love working with dogs and would like to get back into this field. During high school, I volunteered and fostered for a local animal shelter. During college and 2 years after, I worked as a vet tech and dog groomer. My kids are 7 years old and younger therefore a flexible job that I can set my own hours is best to accommodate my family.

About: I’ve taken care of multiple different dogs and cats before and have dog sat for a few people before! I have experience with keeping dogs entertained and not much really phases me anymore. I’m currently job searching, so I have plenty of time to play with, walk, or care for your pup right now! I just need a few days notice for anything other than dog walking! I follow any instructions left for me when it comes to dog care and walking. I’ve done stop ins for people where I let the dogs out and given them exercise and the likes! I just need to know their needs beforehand!

About: I have over 10 years of experience caring for dogs and other animals. While I was stationed at Fort Polk, many of my fellow Soldiers would go on leave, travel home for the holidays, or be away for training. Since I stayed in Louisiana and did not travel because I purchased my home here, I was often happy to help by caring for their pets. I would feed them, take them on walks, play with them, exercise them, make sure they had fresh water, and give them plenty of attention until their owners returned. I have experience with dogs of different sizes, breeds, and energy levels, and I understand that every pet has its own personality and routine. I am CPR certified, physically fit, dependable, and treat every animal like family. I have a spacious home where pets have room to relax and feel comfortable, and I will always make sure they receive the care, exercise, and affection they deserve. My goal is to provide a safe, loving environment so you can have peace of mind while you are away. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide dependable pet care throughout the week. As a 1099 contractor, my hours vary, which gives me the ability to work around your pet’s needs. Whether your pet needs a morning walk, midday check-in, evening care, or overnight attention, I will do my best to accommodate your schedule. I understand how important consistency is, and I am committed to making sure your pet feels comfortable, loved, and well cared for while you are away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I provide a clean, calm, and loving environment where every pet is treated like family. I am CPR certified and have experience caring for both dogs and cats of all ages and personalities. My wife and I have rescued stray cats and cared for numerous animals over the years, so we understand the patience and attention every pet deserves. I carefully follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, exercise routines, and any special requests you have. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is safe, happy, and receiving excellent care.

About: I've taken care of dogs and cats since I was young. I have taken care of friends' pets while they are out of town. I enjoy walking with dogs so we can both get out and enjoy the fresh air and get some exercise. For many years I fostered dogs until I become a foster failure with my last pup. I love animals and will take of your pets as if they were my own. I work from home and am available to check on pets throughout the day, evenings and weekends. I will give plenty of time to your pets so you can have piece of mind that your fur family is well taken care of. Given the opportunity to take of your fur family, I would be able to check on them a few times throughout the day. I am experienced in feeding pets, giving medication and going on walks or playing. I'm also a good cuddle buddy for any fur baby.

About: I’ve been taking care of animals since I was a kid because growing up I would always come home with new ones all the time! I have all the time to play and train dogs now because I got one of my own. I also used to work at Sherwood South Animal Emergency and Critical Care Center as a kennel attendant. So I really have a lot of hands on experience on running a kennel as well as dealing with the hurt animals in the ER. And I know a lot about medication, routines and food routines so it shouldn’t be a problem with the experience I have. If I didn’t have to move to Lafayette Louisiana, I would love to stay at the emergency hospital, but we wanted to move to a family safe area. I really had a lot of love for the animals that I took care of and was really a great experience. I’m currently working part time and can sit or board pups durning the weekdays and weekends!! From 9am to 7pm I could walk the pups. Boarding whenever!! I have a black lab puppy at the moment and train and take her for walks very often. It would be great for her to have some pups for friends we have a fence in yard and a dog park as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
