Enter Roger, our last-minute, Johnny-on-the-Spot superhero. From the moment he stepped in, Roger treated Stella like one of his own. He didn’t just walk her regularly — he made sure she got the exercise, attention, and affection she needed to feel safe and loved during a confusing time. He even embraced her quirks, including her very vocal opinions about dogs, horses, and — to our surprise — oxen on TV. Most sitters would’ve run for the hills. Roger? Candy readily agreed to a meet and greet to make sure it was a good match. Cody was right at home the minute he was let out of the car, especially when he saw the Bayou. It was very hot the week that Cody was staying with Candy; she still found ways to entertain and make comfortable Cody and his new friends. Cody is a major water dog and really enjoyed his time in the Bayou, not to mention the boat ride. Thank-you Candy for taking such good care of my baby and helping me to have a good vacation just knowing how much you care about the pooches that you are caring for. My personal pets have an underground fence that keeps them in the yard, however I have 3 large covered runs under the carport each with a grassy area and shop fans, cots, and large water basins if extended outdoor time is required other than a leash walk for your baby. Indoors I have 2 bedrooms designated for pups as well as a living area. I rotate groups throughout these areas as well as outside during the day as I have dogs of all ages and activity levels.

About: I went to school for animal health and behavior and I use to be a zookeeper. I know my stuff! Also grew up on a farm. I currently have 3 dogs who eat breakfast and dinner of real food that I cook everyday. I am well aware of proper nutrition as well as behavior training since three dogs can get easily chaotic if not handled properly. We play everyday and have sun tanning time for 2 hours. “Our 70lb puppy can be a handful! We know. Lol. He is such a sweet dog, but might have a bit of an unhealthy attachment to his family. He definitely developed some big anxiety along the way and we have had difficulty kenneling him anymore. He needs some special attention to help calm him and he needs to know he's loved. We almost had to cancel our trip, but Tabitha agreed at the last minute for a meet and greet since he had never been around cats. She agreed to board him after we saw he was unfazed by the cats. She definitely cared for him very well! He didn't come home traumatized from being separated from us. He is active and moving as if nothing ever happened! He has a mean bark, but if you can get past it, you'll see he is just very protective and can be just so sweet. Tabitha went out of her way to make him feel at home!!!
