I brought my little senior to Denisha and I could not have been happier with the care she took with him. She has true caring for animals and she cared for my dog as well as she cared for her own dogs. They went on walks and when she noticed he was lagging, she picked up his ten pound self and carried him the rest of the way. She cues into behaviors to figure out dynamics and issues. She was just great. I loved that she took him on walks because no place I have taken him has ever put that effort into him. Please consider Denisha as a caretaker for your dog. I will definitely be going back to her.

About: I have always grown up with pets since I was able to walk. Dogs are my favorite thing in life!! I recently had to send my dog to heaven and haven’t been quite ever to get over it. I still have his toy and often pet sit for family and friends to try and fill the void. This will give me just that!! I currently do brand ambassador work so I creat my own schedule, which is great. My availability is very flexible. I’m here if you need me!! I have a fenced in yard for small potty breaks but I enjoy going on walks!! Being out in the fresh air getting exercise is always best.

About: Caring for pets of all kinds starting with dogs since as young as 10 years old. We now care for 2 senior dogs and a cat of our own. Trusted by friends, family, and strangers to look after their fur babies whenever they are in need. I currently work a hybrid telework schedule so for the majority of the week I am at home and able to take care of pets. My partner works part time and is also able to care for pets in the home as well. We have a fenced back yard, 2 dogs and a cat of our own so your fur baby will never be lonely! They’ll also have plenty of space to roam around. We can crate if need be as well.

Sonja was amazing and helped us out short notice. Our sweet Boomer has anxiety and she was understanding and accommodating with him. She kept us updated with his walks and potty breaks. She promptly responded to messages and sent photos of him settling in. Boomer goes everywhere w us, but couldn’t today due to a last minute trip change, and us having to check out of the hotel. When dropping Boomer off, we immediately felt comfortable with Sonja. We knew that we could leave him w her, enjoy the activity we had planned, and know he was in good hands. 10/10 recommend her and would 100% use her services again when in town.

SABRINA! Is the best sitter I have had using Rover, she welcomed my baby with open arms and even offered additional services out of the kindness of her heart. My furbaby made new friends, and that part was the highlight of her services. I've even booked for her boarding services as Snipa is very comfortable with her. Thank you Sabrina, looking forward to continuing to work together!!

My dog, Freddie, stayed with Joe for an afternoon while we were out in Beaufort. Joe has a great location, super convenient to downtown and a great backyard for the pups to play in. Joe made things super easy and his dog, Watson, kept Freddie busy and entertained for the afternoon. Would highly recommend Joe and Watson and hope to have Freddie stay again in the future!

About: I’ve been caring for pets for several years and truly see them as part of the family. I have experience with dogs of all sizes and personalities—from playful puppies to calm senior dogs who need extra patience and care. What sets me apart is my attentiveness and the love I bring to each visit. I'm confident handling multiple pets, giving medications (if needed), and making sure routines are followed closely so your pet feels safe and comfortable. Whether it's a long walk, playtime, or just quiet company, I’m here to give your pet the same care and affection they’d get at home. I work at an elementary school during the academic year, but I’m currently on summer vacation—so my schedule is wide open! That means I have the flexibility to offer pet care during mornings, afternoons, and evenings throughout the week. Whether your pet needs a walk, a drop-in, or overnight care, I’m available and ready to help. This season gives me the perfect opportunity to dedicate my time and attention to caring for pets like yours. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. Whether I’m caring for them in your home or mine, I always strive to create a calm, clean, and loving environment. I follow any specific instructions you provide—feeding routines, medication, walk schedules, or preferred toys—so your pet stays on track and feels secure. I take time to build trust with each animal, respecting their boundaries and needs. I also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can feel confident and connected while you’re away.

Hi my name is Charlie and it was my first time being away from my family since I was born. I’m almost 2 years old and I am very rambunctious around new people. Thankfully Ms.Danielle was so nice to me and took me on several exciting walks. She even made sure I was dressed fully to go outside although my shoes are tricky to put on sometimes. I am so happy my mom found her and look forward to seeing Ms.Danielle again! Thank you for taking such great care of me!

About: I had a dog named Buddy that I loved deeply for 16 years. Buddy passed away two years ago and it has been difficult moving on without him.I am looking for opportunities to dogsit for companionship and an excuse to be more active. I have dogsat for family many times and have experience caring for a range of ages and breeds. I am most familiar with caring for senior dogs. I work fully remote and will be able to be with your baby throughout the day. Please consider me you new sitter! Pet care fits into my daily routine, since I work from home, I’m able to take care of the dog during the day and night. I typically wake up pretty early and keep a regimented schedule throughout the day. I make sure the dog is walked. I make sure that I spend a little time playing with them if they’re older dogs and I spend a little time rubbing them or petting them. Some dogs don’t like all of that so you really have to pay attention to what type of dog you’re getting. Luckily I love all dogs so it’s all fun for me.

I cannot recommend Melissa enough! From the very first booking, she has been reliable, communicative, and incredibly attentive to my dog’s needs. The updates, photos, and videos she sends always give me peace of mind and make it clear that my puppy is not just being watched, he is genuinely being cared for and loved. Archie absolutely adores her and gets excited every time he sees her. She creates a safe, fun, and engaging environment, and it’s obvious that she treats every dog in her care like family. Melissa goes above and beyond to make sure they are happy, comfortable, and well cared for. What truly sets her apart is the extra effort and thoughtfulness she puts into caring for the dogs. For Archie’s first birthday, she hosted a birthday celebration with the other dogs in her care. Seeing him celebrated with treats, friends, and adorable photos was such a great feeling and meant so much to our family. It was one of those moments that reminded me how fortunate we are to have found someone who genuinely loves what she does. If you’re looking for someone who is dependable, trustworthy, responsive, and will care for your dog as if they were her own, look no further. We are so grateful to have found her, and Archie is always excited for his next visit.

I highly recommend doggy daycare/ boarding with Natashia! She provides excellent care for my Coconut. I appreciate the regular photo updates, which give me peace of mind while I'm away. It's clear Coco gets plenty of exercise and attention, as he comes home tired from being out + playing with Appa (her pup). That’s why we book with her weekly! It’s truly a home away from home for Coco, that’s why he never wants to leave when I pick him up! Thanks Natashia!

As of June 2026, there are 5,326 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Walker Mill. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Walker Mill commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 5,326 sitters in Walker Mill, 87% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
