About: Animals have always liked me, even the ones that "don't like people" have magically liked me and I take that as the highest compliment! I've taken care of a wide variety of pets my whole life, so I'd feel comfortable caring for your furry, scaled or feathered friends like they were my own! My day job is taking care of people as a Physician, so I promise to be kind, trustworthy, loving and patient with your fur babies so they get the care they deserve while you're away. I work remotely with plenty of flexibility in my schedule for drop-in visits, walks or longer stays throughout the Grand Rapids area so your pets can be comfortable and well taken care of while you're away. I am happy to follow any specific instructions for your pets to make sure they have exactly what they need to thrive. Beware, I have been known to give too much love, attention and treats to cute pets...so yours may be spoiled if you choose me to take care of them. I will do whatever is needed for your fur babies while you're away. Whether it's walks, playtime, meals, cuddles or trips to the park, I'll make sure they are well taken care of. I will make sure your home is left exactly the way I find it and will treat your space with respect while I'm there.

About: ***HOUSE SITTING REQUESTS PLEASE READ BELOW - MY DOG HOUSE SITS WITH ME *** Hey there, thank you for checking out my page! My name is Joie, I am 24 and I have a huge heart for animals. I just graduated from Grand Valley State University for Wildlife Biology and Natural Resources Management. I have always loved animals since I was a kid, and now I have a dog and a cat of my own. I started dog sitting before Rover for friends and neighbors and since then I have loved the job and wanted to help others in the community! I have always been super involved with animals, I have lots of volunteering under my belt at John Ball Zoo and through GV's Pre-Vet club. I've also previously worked hands on with hundreds of patients at two vet offices. I'd love to hang out with your pets, play, cuddle and pose for photos! (Check out my posted photos to get an idea of the pics you’d receive if you booked with me!) If you're interested in booking with me, just know that I'm working full-time, but as long as we stay in communication, we can work out a plan that suits both of us. I try to be as flexible, reliable, and dedicated to providing the best care for your pets as I can be. *** HOUSE SITTING DISCLAIMER *** I want to be as transparent as possible about my house sitting services. Since I have my own dog, she will be coming with me for this service. This might not make me the best fit for every household, especially if there are pets or people who might not be comfortable with another dog in the space. I always prioritize the comfort and well-being of your home and pets, so if this arrangement isn’t ideal, I completely understand. Rosie is a 5yo, 50lb high-energy dog who is trained and has been well-socialized at dog parks and helping me with house sitting. She loves to play and also does great around cats. If you’re interested, we can arrange a meet-and-greet to ensure everyone gets along. Pet care is second nature to me and is a part of my and my animals' everyday life. Once I learn your pet's routine, each visit will flow even more smoothly than the last! I like to make sure that both the pets and the owner know that they are in good hands. Good communication is key! It definitely helps the stay go smoothly.

“Taylor was amazing with our pups! We have two larger dogs who love to wrestle with each other as much as they love to snuggle. Taylor didn’t seem phased by their excitability or rough-and-tumble play with each other. Taylor asked a lot of questions about our dogs during the meet and great to make sure she would be able to care for them. Her communication was great and we would definitely book her again.”

Thanks, Emily! You are the pro dog whisperer -- thanks for the great communication and patience with Fritz.

Darcy was great! Darcy would effectively communicate and let me know how Nova was doing, She was very helpful and kind!

Emma is thoughtful, caring, and responsible. She took great care of our 1 cat 1 dog household while we were away. Emma visited first to understand our pets’ needs, and asked good questions about our preferences and the dog’s needs. We highly recommend Emma and would work with her again!
