“Leslie did an amazing job taking care of our fur-babies, Berlin and Cairo, while we were away! She made sure they were well-fed, kept their water fresh, and stayed on top of scooping the litter box. What stood out most was the time and care she dedicated to playing with them—Berlin and Cairo clearly loved having her around. It’s obvious she genuinely enjoys spending time with animals and takes her responsibilities seriously. We’re so grateful for her help and would absolutely trust her to care for our pets again in the future! Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring sitter. Thank you, Leslie!”

About: Unlike other pet sitters, I have 4+ years of experience as a veterinary assistant in emergency and rehabilitation settings. Also, I love sending photo updates! I only work 3 days a week at my current veterinary clinic. I am available weekdays until 1:30pm, great for lunchtime walks for 9-5/6 workers! I believe every pet feels safer in their own home. That’s why I do drop in visits, morning/afternoon walks, and some overnight sitting in your home!

“James was great! He sent lots of pictures, was very respectful of my home & filled me in on everything that happened while I was out of town.”

About: I have taken care of all types of dogs, large and small, calm or energetic. Count on me if you need someone to take your furry friend on a long walk. I currently have flexibility both during the weekdays and on the weekends to take care of pets from the early morning till late evening. I’m open to housesitting as well. I will take your dog for walks or take them to the dog park if desired. Happy to give them some playtime or practice training with them.

“Victoria did a great job looking after our cat, Christian, while we were away for vacation twice this summer. We were able to enjoy our trip knowing that he was being looked after. She leaves good updates and sends photos. Will definitely book again”

About: 🌈🐾 Biscuit crossed the rainbow bridge on 7/29/25. I am taking some time to grieve and not accepting new pet clients at this time. If you are a returning client - please reach out! I am still doing those bookings. I have blocked my calendar, but please reach out if there are dates you are interested in. When I was 12, I put a PowerPoint presentation together to convince my parents I needed a dog - and for that I had my childhood dog Biscuit, who lived to be 18! We have watched our friends' goldendoodle puppy at 3 months (the energy!), 4 year old golden retriever for a month (more energy!), and 2 year old Beagle - one time all at once. From any age and size, my husband and I are huge dog lovers. We recently moved to the area and both work from home so we have all the time to give the love and care your pets need! We are accustomed to all dog needs from medications, walks, or mental stimulation! We have a large sun-facing fenced in yard. No steps required for your pups creating a safer environment. If the weather is nice, we keep our back door open so the dogs can go in and out as they please. I work right next to the door to keep an eye on them. For our dog Biscuit we were feeding her breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I made her a custom meal that fit her diet. She also required 3 pills a day. My husband and I understand dog care and how important it is to follow the owners instructions - you know your dog best from energy levels, stomach concerns, or potty routines! We would often take breaks from work with our dog to hold her and give her the love she wants.

About: Not only did I grow up in a home filled with pets of all kinds and sizes, I have raised and trained my own dogs and cats. I am very comfortable with all breeds and sizes! I work a typical 8 to 5 job with an hour lunch break plus evenings and weekends free. I love to spend my extra time with furry faces and cuddles. I'm naturally attentive and can work with all behaviors. I'm able to administer medicine and follow house rules. I also love to take photos/videos and send updates throughout the whole visit with pet parents approval.

“It was a joy to work with Brandie! Her positive energy during out meet and greet made me feel comfortable. She took the time so we (animals too) got to know her. I look forward to having Brandie pet sit for me again.”

About: I have had pets all my life. I’m very active and run most days. I like to stay busy, am very nurturing, calm, and kind. I’m not going to crate your pet and be gone all day. I have exceptional character and am a baby boomer with a strong work ethic. I’m fine with cameras watching my every move! Most of all, I genuinely care for all living things and pets love me. So do people! Most that hire me are repeat customers. If your dog is sick or needs a vet visit, happy to help! I’m retired from a successful sales career in Human Pharmaceuticals for a Fortune 500 company. Love to stay busy and active. Please reach out and let me help you in our very fast and multi faceted world! Large safe fenced yard at my residence! I have a 2 year old female lab that loves dogs, cats, kids, people. She loves everyone. My precious Pearl. Experience in Dog Rescue Centers! I’m working full time until 12/31/24. I will then be taking 4/5 months off! I may return to work part time. It will depend on our economy which has been awful. It’s sending many of us seniors back to work. I need to know about your dogs temperament. Do they pace with anxiety? Are they food aggressive. Do they calm down at a strangers home?

“Allison did above and beyond in taking care of our elderly cat. Very communicative and caring. I highly recommend her and would definitely use her again.”

About: I’ve cared for dogs for over 8 years, including my own who has chronic pancreatitis. I’m comfortable with special diets, medication, and senior dog care. I treat every dog like family—patient, loving, and attentive to their individual needs. Whether your pup is high-energy or needs a gentler pace, I’ll provide safe, thoughtful care tailored just for them. Before getting my own dog at 19, I grew up in a home that always had two dogs. Helping care for them was a constant part of my life and taught me the responsibility, empathy, and joy that comes with loving animals. Additionally, I’ve been volunteering at Hallie Hill Animal Sanctuary, which has deepened my experience with dogs of all breeds and backgrounds. I'm currently in graduate school, which gives me a flexible schedule to care for your pups! I'm available for walks and in-home visits on Tuesdays, Fridays, and some weekends (just ask about weekend availability). I make pet care a priority and will always treat your dog with the same love and attention I give my own. When caring for pets in their own home, I prioritize safety, routine, and comfort. I follow all instructions closely—from feeding schedules to preferred walking routes—and make sure your pup feels secure while you're away. I always respect your space, keep things clean, and treat your home and pet with care and kindness. My goal is to maintain a calm, trustworthy presence so your dog stays happy and stress-free in their familiar environment.

“Tara took such wonderful care of my two cats while I was out of town for the holidays. Both of my cats seemed super comfortable with her from the first visit. I booked drop in visits and she went above and beyond to make sure that they were both well taken care while I was gone. She made sure to send me lots of pictures and communicated any questions or concerns when necessary, which I really appreciated. This was my first time using Rover, but I will definitely be booking with Tara again in the future!”

Kimberly & Dylan C.Star Sitter
“Kimberly is someone I trust wholeheartedly with my dog. I’ve witnessed her masterfully handle varying needs of different dogs in her care at the same, ranging from my active goldendoodle puppy to her senior cockapoo, and a four-year-old golden retriever – all of whom had different eating schedules, walking/bathroom schedules, sleep schedules, etc. Kimmy puts animals’ needs first because she truly has a heart for them. With regard to my dog in particular, she reinforces his training and routines so when he returns home he is not disoriented nor has regressed. My pup always leaves her place happy and tired, and he’s always excited to return to her place!”

Jazzalyn S.
“The best in the Charleston area!!! She is great with both little and big breeds. And treated our family dogs like her own. Going above and beyond for our 2, and very knowledgeable of dog behaviors and temperaments. These dogs warmed up to her effortlessly as if she has always been there. And thought our family a few things that will help out our pets. She definitely puts our dogs wellbeing first, and we love that and her!!! Highly recommended.”

“Mia has been a dog owner her entire life. She is kind, caring, and extremely diligent when it comes to caring for her pets. She rescued her current dog several years ago, cared for him, and brought him back to being an extremely happy and healthy dog. She spends plenty of time making sure he gets adequate exercise, both on long walks and in her large backyard. As a dog owner myself, I would confidently have Mia care for my dog any time. Any dog lucky enough to spend time with Mia would be extremely happy and well cared for.”
