She followed my instructions to a tee when doing drop in visits for my dog and wrote detailed Rovwe cards which I appreciate! “Nicole was awesome! Both of our pets are strictly outdoors and independent with the entire yard for themselves (and the neighbor's too, for the cat). so we needed someone who could come out to our place rather than boarding, which would be too traumatic and, really, impossible for our pets. Nicole left daily report cards with pictures that kept us in touch with how well (or not) they were doing. It was good to see how our very reserved and protective Pit Bull/Sharpei went from "barking and growling" at her on the first day for being a stranger, to playing fetch and posing for pictures by, like, day three. And my very shy and cautious cat actually let Nicole pet her (with pictures to prove it, too!). Would definitely re-book with Nicole again!”

When pets are in my care, I do everything I can to make them feel safe, loved, and at home. I keep a calm, pet-friendly space where they can relax, play, and be themselves. Whether your pet needs cozy naps, playtime, or lots of snuggles, I match their energy and needs. I follow your routines as closely as possible!! feeding schedules, walks, potty breaks, and even bedtime rituals. I keep water fresh, treats on hand (if allowed!), and I’m always happy to give updates throughout the day. If your pet is used to a crate, they’re welcome to bring it for comfort. If they’re free roamers, that works too! I just ask for any info you can give me (favorite toys, quirks, routines) so I can make their stay feel like home away from home. - I don’t have pets of my own, so your fur baby gets my full attention - I keep floors clean and free of anything chewable or unsafe -fenced backyard

About: I’ve had multiple pets my whole life, from dogs to chameleons, and always cared for them with compassion. I am currently helping my grandparents take care of their 13 year old dog, who is still going strong! Within these years as a pet owner, as well as rescuing animals, I’ve learned a whole lot: bottle feeding, administering medication, transition from wet to dry food, potty training, and tricks! I am currently on summer break as a nursing student so, I am available Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday from 8am-5pm. This will be my availability until fall semester starts. My home is fenced which allows my dogs to roam freely. Animals are allowed inside the house and on furniture. I have an extra room for boarding/quarantine and I have cats in my room that aren’t allowed outdoors.

“Kara saved my bacon as I needed someone last minute to watch my dog, Finn, while I was house sitting for my parents. I work about 45 minutes away from their house so he would have been alone for 12 hours as his doggie daycare was full. Kara was extremely responsive and helped guide me through the process of how to use rover (as it was my first time). All responses were probably within 15 minutes of my messages so I felt good about the booking. She stopped by twice during the day to let him out into the yard for some potty and play and from the many photos that she sent he seemed to absolutely love having her there with him! She followed all of my instructions perfectly and had no problem figuring out what to do while I was at work which helped take some of the stress off of me. My only complaint is that she doesn’t live closer to my own house so that I could book her as an ongoing client because it worked out so well! If you value peace of mind and knowing your dog is being taken care of the way you hope then you should look no further and book Kara to take care of your furry friend.”
