About: I’ve taken care of all kinds of pets since a young age, including raising guide dog puppies with my family. I’ve since owned dogs, cats, rodents, lizards, frogs, spiders, and fish so I can tackle many needs. I’m well-versed in basic pet first aid and dietary needs (having worked at a specialty pet shop that made its own healthy gourmet pet treats for several years). My own dogs have included a registered and trained therapy dog as well as my current rescue dog who I’ve trained through his struggles with anxiety and reactivity. He and I love outdoor adventures and being active! I’ve fostered over 20 dogs and cats through shelters of all shapes, sizes, and ages and can’t get enough. I’d love to get to know your pet and all their unique quirks! I’m a teacher, so my schedule is wide open during the summers and school holidays. “Kara saved my bacon as I needed someone last minute to watch my dog, Finn, while I was house sitting for my parents. I work about 45 minutes away from their house so he would have been alone for 12 hours as his doggie daycare was full. Kara was extremely responsive and helped guide me through the process of how to use rover (as it was my first time). All responses were probably within 15 minutes of my messages so I felt good about the booking. She stopped by twice during the day to let him out into the yard for some potty and play and from the many photos that she sent he seemed to absolutely love having her there with him! She followed all of my instructions perfectly and had no problem figuring out what to do while I was at work which helped take some of the stress off of me. My only complaint is that she doesn’t live closer to my own house so that I could book her as an ongoing client because it worked out so well! If you value peace of mind and knowing your dog is being taken care of the way you hope then you should look no further and book Kara to take care of your furry friend.”

We have our sweet dog Juneau. She gets along with dogs and cats so as long as your pet is friendly, we can probably board him/her. I work from home during the week and shoot photo sessions on the weekends but my wife is home if I am not so your pet is not left alone. We love to give lots of play time and go on walks. Pets are allowed on furniture and on bed. We have a fenced in yard.

“Samantha was absolutely wonderful! In fact, she's such a great sitter that I almost hesitate to write this review because selfishly, I'd love to keep her availability to myself! This was our very first time leaving our puppy with a sitter, and naturally we were a little nervous. Samantha immediately put our minds at ease. Before our trip, she took the time to meet with us and show us where our puppy would be staying in her home, which made us feel so much more comfortable and confident. While we were away for nearly two weeks, Samantha kept us updated with frequent messages and adorable photos. It meant so much to know our puppy was happy, safe, and well cared for while we were gone. What impressed us even more was that she actually helped reinforce our puppy's potty training during our time away. We came home to a puppy who had continued making progress, which was such a pleasant surprise! Samantha is truly a sweetheart, and it's obvious that she has a genuine love for animals and a heart for what she does. The care, attention, and affection she showed our puppy exceeded all of our expectations. We are so grateful we came across Samantha and couldn't recommend her more highly. About: Trained with large dogs and no problems with little ones. I’ve cared for cats, birds, reptiles and more. I love taking walks and playing fetch. I also know how to give medications and care for elderly dogs as well. I love animals, especially dogs and appreciate being able to help them. I’m available daily for walks, feeding or check in’s every day of the week. I have a decently sized yard that is totally fenced in, even for little dogs. I have an attached garage as well as numerous baby gates. I have my own vehicle and I’m skilled at caring for others homes as well.
