“Naomi was wonderful with our dogs who can be obnoxious on walks!! She handled them so well and was extremely trustworthy! We will definitely be seeking her help again. Thank you so much Naomi!”

“Jocelyn is wonderful. Our dogs are shy around new people, and can be difficult to manage. But they liked her right away and didn’t give her any trouble. She is also very reliable and punctual.”

About: I have been taking care of pets since I was 8 years old. My family had birds, bunnies, cats, dogs, turtles & fish. Pretty much any pet you can think of, I probably owned it. We have our sweet dog Juneau. She gets along with dogs and cats so as long as your pet is friendly, we can probably board him/her. I work from home during the week and shoot photo sessions on the weekends but my wife is home if I am not so your pet is not left alone. We love to give lots of play time and go on walks. Pets are allowed on furniture and on bed. We have a fenced in yard.
“Whitney walked my 2 dogs who can be difficult and I was happy to see she handle them. By the end of the walk both my dogs we’re comfortable and quite happy :) I trust Whitney and will be using her again!”

About: Animals have always been a part of my life, and I can’t imagine a home without them. I’ve personally owned and cared for several dogs over the years (including both puppies and rescues) as well as a cat, so I’m very comfortable with different personalities, energy levels, and needs. In addition to my personal experience, I worked at a family-owned dog grooming salon as a dog bather. There, I cared for dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments. My responsibilities included bathing, brushing, deshedding, dematting, and nail trimming/grinding. That experience helped me become confident handling dogs safely, reading body language, and making sure each pet felt as comfortable as possible. While I’m not a certified groomer or trainer, I’ve had a lot of hands-on experience and truly enjoy working with animals. Whether it’s walks, drop-ins, overnight care, or boarding, I treat every pet like they’re my own and aim to give them a safe, calm, and loving environment while you’re away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to give each pet the attention they deserve. I care for every pet as if they were my own by following their usual routine, providing plenty of love, playtime, exercise, fresh water, and meals. I also keep owners updated with photos and messages so they can feel confident their pet is happy, safe, and well cared for.

About: I’ve taken care of cats and dogs of various ages, genders, and life stages for friends and family. I have experience taking care of senior pets in critical condition and have handled emergency situations with urgency and care. I take animals’ wellbeing very seriously and I love taking care of them. I am currently unemployed and take online college classes so I have lots of free time! My only obligation is driving my partner to/from work but it’s easy to work around that! My cats are strictly indoor only and I play with them everyday to ensure they are getting good exercise and entertainment. A pet’s safety is my number one priority, they will not be left unsupervised or unleashed outside of the household while they are under my care.
“Alexis is amazing, she took the time out of her day to meet Coco before the planned walks. After each walk she made sure Coco had water and food. If anyone ever needs a walker I highly recommend Alexis!!”

About: Hi! I’m an experienced pet sitter and lifelong animal lover offering calm, reliable care for your pets. I’m happy to care for your fur babies either in my home or in their own home, depending on what’s most comfortable for them and works best for your family. I’m home most of the day with my 3-year-old son, who loves animals and has grown up around dogs and cats. We spend a lot of our time outside playing in the yard and enjoying our neighborhood park, so pets get plenty of attention and activity. We also have a friendly 6 year old dog, Luna, and cat, Skye, who are comfortable around other animals. Your pet’s comfort always comes first, and I’m happy to adapt to their needs and routine. To provide more personalized care, I only accept one family’s pets at a time. Whether your pet enjoys playtime, walks, or a quiet place to relax, I aim to make them feel safe and at home while you’re away. I’d love to connect and set up a meet-and-greet! I have a fairly flexible schedule to be available for walks and potential overnight care. My son and I often go to the park with our dog in the morning and evening. We usually go to the beach to play once a week. I have a fenced yard and plenty of room to run around inside. I have crate training experience as well. We can go over your dog’s needs and assess the best approach for while you're away.
“Kara was super sweet with my little Chihuahua mix. Kara showed up on time and was kind enough to send me pictures and videos of my dog during her visit. I'm looking forward to having her as a regular and I know my dog is as well. I highly recommend Kara!!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
