“WOW!! not sure what more i can say.. Shiloh was so well taken care of and so loved at Kates, it was so relaxing for us knowing this. only issue is, i really think he is a little sad this morning not having his new friend Bagels around!! Loved the pictures and updates.”

“This was our dogs first time not staying with family while we were away. Beth made us feel comfortable leaving our dog with her and sent lots of pics and kept us updated on how he was doing! We’ll definitely book with her again!”

“I cannot say enough good things about Tracy. I was genuinely so nervous boarding my dogs for the first time, and from the very beginning she made me feel completely at ease. She was warm, patient, reassuring, and so communicative the entire time. What really stood out to me is how naturally comfortable my dogs were with her. You can tell she truly understands animals and cares about them like they’re her own. She sent updates and photos, answered my anxious first-time-boarder questions with so much kindness, and made the whole experience feel safe and personal. Finding someone you can actually trust with your dogs is huge, and Tracy is absolutely that person. I’m so grateful we found her and would recommend her in a heartbeat.”

“Sadie did a fabulous job with Dash and getting him plenty of playtime and exercise. He seemed to enjoy himself and was exhausted when we picked him up. Will rebook again when we need it!”

“Dayjah does a wonderful job with our dog Chole. A nice home setting no concrete kennels, good size yard fenced in & lots of other doggie company. Our second 2 week visit & signed up for another in September. Would highly recommend!!”

“I’m very glad I found Jana for our dog.Jana and her kids took wonderful care of our dog and gave him lots of love and attention, which he loves. She sent regular photos and accommodated our late night flight. They have a great house and yard for pups to play.”

“Brenna was a great communicator and our Frenchie appeared very comfortable at her house. We enjoyed our vacation more knowing he was being cared for in a dog loving home, instead of at a kennel. Thank you Brenna!”

About: Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. With many years of hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats, I understand that every pet has their own unique personality, needs, and routine. In 2019, I completed pet training courses to better understand animal behavior and puppy training. I'm experienced with pets of all ages—from energetic puppies and kittens to senior pets who require extra patience, attention, and gentle care. Whether your pet loves long walks, exploring local dog parks, playing fetch, or simply relaxing with plenty of cuddles, I'll make sure they feel safe, loved, and right at home. I believe every pet deserves individualized care, and I treat every animal as if they were my own. My goal is to give you peace of mind while you're away, knowing your furry family member is receiving dependable, loving care in an environment where every pet feels like family. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine! I work from home three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday), which allows me to provide plenty of attention, companionship, potty breaks, playtime, and walks throughout the day. On the two days I work in the office (Monday and Thursday), my fiancé and son are home by midday to check on our furry friends, give them attention, let them outside, and make sure they're comfortable. This means pets are never left alone for more than a few hours at a time. Our weekends are typically spent at home, giving us even more time for walks, playtime, trips to the dog park (if your pup enjoys them), and lots of love and affection. I strive to maintain your pet's normal routine as closely as possible so they feel safe, comfortable, and right at home while you're away. Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. My home features a large, fully fenced backyard where dogs can safely run, play, and explore. Inside, I have plenty of toys, cozy spaces to relax, and a calm, pet-friendly environment where they can feel right at home. I also live in a friendly, walkable neighborhood that's perfect for daily walks and outdoor enrichment. If your dog enjoys socializing and you're comfortable with it, I'm happy to take them to local dog parks for extra exercise and fun. Whether I'm caring for your pet in my home or yours, I'll follow their regular routine as closely as possible—including feeding schedules, medications, exercise, and any special instructions. I understand that every pet is unique, and I treat each one with the same love, patience, and care I'd give my own.

“Valerie & her family were so good with our energetic mini-golden doodle, we’re super grateful for their great care of him! their fenced in back yard is terrific for dogs, there’s usually someone home with the dog & our dog seemed super happy there.”

“Mon Cheri had a wonderful stay with Kara! Her large, well-fenced yard was a great place for him to run and play, and her sweet and friendly dogs got along wonderfully with him. He came home relaxed and content, and we are so grateful for Kara’s loving care. We would be happy to have him stay with her again!”

About: I have had dogs since I was 2 years old small, medium, and large. I have also helped my neighbors when they were out of town to care for their dogs. When looking after any animal I pay very close attention to the animals needs because every dog is different and I work to make sure they are comfortable and happy while in my care. It is important to me that the animals needs are met and expectations from their owners are met.
“Joey went above and beyond caring for our dog. We booked last minute for a 3 week trip. She was a new sitter for to us and we were apprehensive. She took great care of our dog. Even feeding him by hand to get him to eat. Communication was excellent.”

“The dogs had a great time with Vince and Sandy. They sent us daily picture updates, and made us feel great about leaving them in their care. Would not hesitate to bring them again!”

“Our dog Rio had a BLAST with Rachelle and Dan. They were very detailed oriented when it came to Rio’s special needs. They also sent the perfect amount of updates and pictures throughout the stay. Definitely will book again!”

About: I’ve been my neighborhoods designated dog sitter since I was 12 years old! I’m a lifelong dog lover and currently have two large, energetic rescue dogs of my own. I have hands-on experience with bully breeds, large and strong dogs, puppies, multi-dog households, crate training, leash manners, enrichment, basic grooming, and administering routine medications and supplements. I’m especially comfortable with active dogs and dogs with big personalities! I understand that every dog has different needs, boundaries, routines, and ways of communicating, and I’m happy to follow the training and structure you already use at home. I love walks, hiking, enrichment activities, playtime, and plenty of couch cuddles. I’m also comfortable with basic bathing and grooming, including dogs who need a little extra patience with baths. Safety is extremely important to me. I pay close attention to dog body language, introduce dogs carefully, separate dogs for meals and high-value treats when appropriate, and never assume that what works for one dog will work for another. My goal is for your dog to feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for while they’re with me. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to spend plenty of time with the dogs in my care. I’m available for walks and drop-in visits throughout the week, as well as daycare and boarding for dog-friendly dogs in my home. I have two dogs of my own, so caring for dogs, getting outside, and fitting plenty of play and enrichment into my day is already part of my normal routine! Safety and comfort are always my priority. I have two friendly, social dogs of my own, and I require a meet-and-greet before boarding or daycare to make sure everyone is comfortable together. I carefully supervise introductions and play, and I separate dogs for meals, chews, and other high-value items when needed. I have a large yard with an invisible fence that my own dogs use, but visiting dogs will always be physically secured outside with a leash or long line. I’m happy to follow your dog’s normal routine, crate schedule, feeding instructions, medications, and house rules. Dogs are always welcome on my furniture and beds unless you prefer otherwise!

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Victoria
Vince welcomed Phoebe into his home and treated her like part of the family. He kept us updated during her stay, which gave us peace of mind. Phoebe also enjoyed having plenty of space to run in his large backyard. I especially appreciated that Vince was open to a pre-boarding visit, allowing both of us to make sure it was a good fit. Thank you Vince!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
