About: We have dogs, snakes, and at rehabilitating a baby squirrel! We have kept many different pets for the past 10 years and love caring for all animals! Even the grouchy ones 😊 Our dogs eat at 12:30 and at 6:30 each day with frequent trips outside. They are friendly and we keep them trained to eat only out of their own bowls. Pet care is daily life in our home (with my spouse) and we both take pride in our relationships with animals I will frequently check for assent amongst pets to ensure safety and wellbeing. If animals need to be separated, we live in our finished basement and work upstairs, making it easy to both separate and engage with all the animals frequently. Any instructions will be religiously followed. I am getting my masters in behavior analysis so I am ALWAYS aware of the dynamics of our animals and animal guests!
“David put my mind at ease from the get go. It was the first time I’ve ever left my dog. My mind was at ease knowing she was in good hands! Thank you David and Jennifer.”

“Hannah is simply the best! She watches our pup every week but in addition to that she watched him so we could go out on a date night. She loves our good boy like her own and it is just wonderful! 🥰”

“Our pup stayed overnight and had a great time! We received photos, videos and updates on our doggo throughout the day. When we dropped him off he was excited & upon picking him up he was playing. We will be back!”

“This was my first experience with dog day care and Cheryl did an amazing job with my pup. She kept me posted on how he was doing thru the day and I felt very comfortable leaving him there. I was very impressed and would highly recommend.”

“Abigail is very kind, obviously loves dogs and provided wonderful care to my sweet pup. Both she and her sweet dog spent quality time exercising, playing, and overall positively influencing my young dog. The physical environment of her home and yard is lovely, welcoming, and a fun dog toy filled playground. I will absolutely rebook with Abigail.”

“We left Jack with Haley & Audriana while visiting from out of town. He had a wonderful time! The house is nice and in a nice neighborhood with a comfortable, fenced back yard that offered shade on a hot day. We will definitely look them up when we come into town next time!”

“Excellent service. Heather is friendly and attentive to the puppies, she sent good update photos, she was able to accommodate one of my pups needing medication, and her property is a great and exciting landscape for walks. We would love to rebook with her in the future.”

About: I owned and operated my own dog boarding and hiking business from 2017-2025 called Happy Tails On Trails, caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, personalities, and energy levels. I regularly cared for multiple dogs at once and led group hikes, giving me plenty of experience managing different personalities and energy levels while keeping everyone safe, happy, and well exercised. Running my own business also taught me how important communication and trust are when caring for someone else's pet. I got to know each dog individually, communicate closely with their owners, and make sure their needs were met while they were in my care. I eventually closed my business after having my daughter and moving to the Valley, but my love for dogs and years of experience caring for them have never gone away. I'm excited to continue doing what I love by providing dogs with a safe, active, and loving home away from home! 🐾 My schedule is flexible, and I am home much of the day, allowing me to provide plenty of supervision, attention, and companionship. Typical Doggy Day Care Schedule: 🕕 6:00–8:00 AM — Daycare drop-off & settle in 🥾 9:00 AM–12:00 PM — Walk/hike, approximately 3–5 miles 💤 12:00–2:00 PM — Rest, water & downtime 🌿 2:00–3:00 PM — Potty break & supervised outdoor time 🐾 3:00–5:00 PM — Outdoor play, potty breaks & relaxation 🏡 By 6:00 PM — Daycare pickup The schedule may vary depending on weather, the dogs in my care, and the length of our morning adventure. I adjust activity based on each dog's age, energy level, and individual needs. My goal is for every dog to go home happy, well-exercised, and ready for a good nap! 🐾 My home is a comfortable, family oriented environment where dogs can relax, receive plenty of attention, and be part of our daily routine. I supervise dogs closely and take their individual temperament and needs seriously. Because we have chickens on our property, safety around poultry is especially important to me. I will need to know upfront, so I can keep them in the run if needed. I believe communication is a big part of good pet care. I want you to feel comfortable knowing how your dog is doing while you're away, and I'm happy to send updates and photos so you don't feel like you're missing out on everything they're doing!

About: Animals and animal care has always been my passion, I’m currently working towards getting my bachelors degree in animal science and zoology! I’ve taken care of all kinds of animals and I’ve done a lot of rescue and rehoming! I love animals, from cats to fish, lizards and birds. I’m crazy about all of them. I’ve cared for babies and elderly of a lot of different species and I pride myself in always doing my best in taking care of all their needs. Ive got quite a few of my own babies at the moment but they’re all very friendly and adjust easily to new animals. I don’t currently work because I’m working towards getting my bachelors degree in animal science/zoology, so I’m home 24/7 to care for my own pets and school, I have two crate trained dogs, five cats, two frogs, two birds, fish, and a hamster, so I’m basically always cleaning and playing or training one or the other! While I live in an apartment, we have multiple fenced dog parks and ample walking area away from the roads for walkies with the dogs, my apartment is pretty spacious especially in the living room and animals are allowed around the whole apartment. If I were to watch your babies at your residence I would stick strictly to the rules you set for me and never overstep your boundaries or rules.

“Teri and family was a pleasure to deal with. Especially since I had a LAST second request and took Floyd with no issues. Kept me up to date with pictures of Floyd and his new buddies. Will mos def be going back to Teri shall I need their assistance again. Thank you guys so much. Floyd napped all the way home n went to bed when we got home. He had a fun day😊”

“Haley was wonderful to work with. She responded to everything right away and sent lots of pictures and updates throughout the day. I knew my pup was in good hands. Parker had a great day and was so happy there that it took me a bit to convince him it was time to come home ;) Highly recommend!!!”

About: I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember and have always been the person friends and family trust to care for their pets. I have a Havanese named Pita who is my little adventure buddy. He’s 6 years old, about 16 lbs, and is a very friendly little guy who loves being around other dogs. I work from home, so your pup will have plenty of company, attention, and won’t be left alone during the day. I live in a clean, tidy apartment right off the Centennial Trail, so we love getting outside for walks and fresh air. Whether your dog loves adventures, playtime, or just relaxing and cuddling, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved like they’re part of the family while you’re away. Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Veradale
We came from out of town for a baseball tournament and found out dogs weren’t allowed at the field. We reached out to Georgia and she was able to watch our girl on short notice. She has a huge backyard and Toffee had so much fun. Georgia was also very easy to communicate with and gave us updates. I’d recommend her to anyone and will contact her next time we are in town!

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
