About: I’m back after a short hiatus!! I’m a lifelong animal lover but cannot have pets of my own at this time because of my housing situation. But turns out, this works out perfectly! So many people need a loving, responsible and reliable person to care for their homes and pets while they are away, so I am able to help out and also get my puppy/kitty cuddle fix! My 22 year old daughter and I do many jobs together, so we are basically two sitters in one! (Of course, I am always the sitter on any job booked through Rover.) I am self employed, so I have flexibility to work around your pet’s needs. I am available to spend the time needed to not only show your pets love and attention, but see to the needs of your home, plants, mailbox… you get the idea! About: I've grown up with always more than one animal in the household, and loving them is second nature. When my family and friends need someone to help take care of the pets, I am always the first option! I have taken care if lots of cats and dogs, but a few fish throughout the years too. I have experience not only with general pet care such as, feeding, walking, playing/enrichment, but also with giving medications. Some dog breeds I have worked with (or lived with) are German Shepards, Yellow Labs, and mutts that are a mix of medium/bigger dogs or small dachshund mixes. And a lot of different cat personalities! The distant and quiet ones who keep to themselves and the ones who need your attention the second you walk through your door! Either way, I have always loved them no matter what, and continue to love them still. I am about to start a part-time job that has me working either from 10-3 or 11-4. I am always willing to wake up early or stay up late because I have the late start time of the work! In my home, my cat never has a missed meal, he has clean and running water 24/7, and a handful of toys available for enrichment! A handheld laser always nearby for sudden play time is anecessity! As for my client's pets, I will always follow instructions step by step and detail by detail, no matter if feeding times includes something silly to get the fur baby to actually eat their food, I will always do it! And I am not the kind of person to just stop in, do what I need to do, and leave. I will make sure the pet is well loved and knows that I am there for them.
“We were away on a 2.5 week vacation overseas, the longest we’ve been away from our cats. They are pretty low maintenance and are good as long as they have food and water, but we were worried about our long absence since they’re pretty cuddly and clingy. I did some research on pet sitting and found Charity through Rover and was immediately impressed with her stellar reviews and repeat clients! I reached out and explained our situation and she was so kind and receptive. We booked our sitting appointment for the full 2.5 weeks, and booked a meet and greet about a month before to walk through the apartment, meet our cats, and chat. About: I have grown up around cats and dogs and would provide general care and taking care for all of our animals and immediate family’s. This included CN feeding, walking, playing, and “baby”sitting. I’m able to get along with most pets and treat each as if they are their own person with a unique personality! I currently work full-time, but reliable evening time is available for dog/cat walks and check-ins ! This would be anytime after 5 PM and on weekends. In my own home I always have my cat’s safety as my #1 priority. Living in an apartment building I have to take extra precautions such as making sure all windows and doors are secure, there are no fire hazards, and that anything that could be considered a choke hazard is secure. I always make sure that animals have what they need if they are going to be left alone for an extended amount of time.
