“Damaris was very responsive, communicative, and flexible. We had a very last minute trip come up and she was able to accommodate us the same day! She made us feel very comfortable leaving our pup with her. She sent plenty of pictures and videos to put our minds at ease and always let us know what was going on that day. I would definitely recommend her to sit your fur babies!”

“Jennie was absolutely wonderful with our dog Frisco. Jennie is very experienced hosting dogs and she took great care of our furry boy. We also really appreciated the fact that Jennie sent regular updates with photos about Frisco and kept in touch. We will be very happy to work with Jennie again when we go out of town next.”

“Cindy was amazing!!! My fur baby clearly got lots and lots of love from Cindy and her family members … and her two dogs were friendly and gentle and welcoming to my dog who is usually a bit timid with other dogs. Highly recommend Cindy!!”

“Beata did a great job accommodating for my dogs. There were some scheduling issues that she went the extra mile to fix which was really appreciated. The dogs loved her and I would definitely use her again!”

“We left both of our dogs with Laura and her family for 12 days. We have never left them with anyone but family before. Laura was awesome and our dogs were very comfortable in her loving, clean, professional home! Highly recommended!”

“Tamesha and her lovely family took amazing care of my golden! She remembered the small details about him (like that he loves Wheel of Fortune) and sent me videos! It was easy to communicate with her and I will definitely love to have Cooper stay with her again in the near future. Highly recommend!!”

“Xan watched our 11 yr. old Maltese twice and we could not be luckier to have found her. She is definitely an animal lover and her pups are adorable and very well behaved. My little guy isn't the most social but he got along very well at Xan's apartment. I would highly recommend her and we will be asking her to watch Yeyo again.”
“Thomas & Lyndsay’s place has become a second home for Flynn. They treat him like one of their own, and he’s always comfortable lounging on their couch. He enjoys spending time with their pets. Perfect for overnight stays or longer visits!”

“What a nice guy! He took such good care of my golden Henry while I had to leave town for a couple of days… Sent me videos of him playing Henry’s favorite game catching the tennis ball.. Great communication great pictures and videos will definitely use him again… Very spacious very secure yard overall excellent experience for my Pup.”

“Absolutely lovely! She took excellent care of my babies and was in constant communication with me. I can certainly recommend Kim for anyone looking for a loving sitter.”

About: I’ve had animals and have been helping take care of animals all my life. With recently losing a dog it brings me so much joy to be able to help others as well as having a temporary buddy. I recently moved to the area and am still in search of work so that means my days are free. When I secure a job I will be working 5-6 hours in the evening during the week. I have a small fenced area as well as a dog park in my apartment complex. I have an extra-large crate if needed for boarding as well.

“Vetra was amazing with my girls and I highly recommend her! I have already rebooked for a second stay. Vetra kept my girls on their routine and sent me pictures and messages to let me know they were doing well. I was able to fully enjoy my trip knowing that they were being well loved and cared for while I was gone.”

“Nene loved his time with Mandi and Benji. I enjoyed receiving updates which also included the cutest photos and videos. I knew Nene was in good hands with Mandi and I would definitely use her services again. I believe Mandi gave him the best care and made in part of the family. While away, I felt confident Nene was in good hands.”

About: We’ve cared for many dogs over our lifespan- combined of 36 years. From small to big, high energy to very little, our house is the perfect fit. We’ve crate trained and potty trained all our dogs and no longer use a crate for any purpose however still have one available. We go on several walks a day around our neighborhood and have a spacious lanai patio and fenced in backyard with a pool. With part time hours and someone always typically being home, the only time we are out are for sports Saturday mornings for a max of 2 hours. Pets are always welcome to join us if appropriate as we are always at a pet friendly park and our pup loves to join. Morning and afternoon walks are a must as we are an active family and spend our days outside anyway. We have a fenced yard and a lanai in our backyard. We have gates for indoor if needed as well as a crate. Water bowls are available all over the house!

I had such a wonderful experience with Salenia and her family! They treated Bunny like she was part of their own family, and I felt completely comfortable knowing she was in such loving and caring hands. Salenia also sent me lots of pictures and updates, which gave me so much peace of mind while I were away. It was clear that Bunny was happy, loved, and very well taken care of during her stay. I truly have nothing but great things to say about Salenia and her family. I will absolutely be using her again the next time I go out of town and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone to care for their pup!

Taylor is the best. She has not only been incredibly flexible with my chaotic schedule, she is kind and sweet with me, just as much as she has been with my dogs. Going through a lot right now in my personal life and having Taylor's help with my fur babies has been refreshing and much needed.

We left our Cavalier with Mia for 5 nights and had an excellent experience overall. She had excellent communication and always kept us updated on how our pup was doing through messages and pictures. We had a meet and greet before the stay which gave us a lot of confidence Mia would take great care of our dog and our dog would be comfortable in her house and yard. I would highly recommend Mia and will definitely use her for our future boarding needs.

Melanie and her family loved our big boy as if he was one of them. I felt so comfortable leaving him with her. She sent many wonderful photos, and in each one Bodhi looked like he was having the time of his life. He came home worn out from having so much fun. HIGHLY recommended! So grateful for dog lovers like Melanie in this world.

Preston was absolutely wonderful with Iggy. We felt so genuinely at ease the entire time knowing he was in such great hands. Iggy can be particular and we had a few odd requests and timeline changes, and Preston handled everything with so much patience and flexibility. It never felt like we were inconveniencing him, which meant a lot. He was communicative, kind, and clearly cared about making sure Iggy was comfortable and happy. We’re so grateful and would absolutely book with him again.

During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
