We lost our two pugs of 16 and 17 years old and my children missed having a dog. So we decided to try Rover so they could be around dogs. Prior to that I had a Rottweiler for 13 years. I’ve always helped my friends with their dogs when they go out of town, all different types of breeds. We would love to be able to love on another dog since we lost ours.

Portia seemed to enjoy hanging out with the kids! She was pooped when she got home.
Melanie and her family loved our big boy as if he was one of them. I felt so comfortable leaving him with her. She sent many wonderful photos, and in each one Bodhi looked like he was having the time of his life. He came home worn out from having so much fun. HIGHLY recommended! So grateful for dog lovers like Melanie in this world.

The dogs had a great time at Melanie’s! Got some nice updates and photos throughout the day - it was great to see the dogs so happy while they missed us. Great communication as well for pickup and drop off. Would definitely return next time we’re back in town.
Melanie and her family were helpful in watching our two pups. We did have to check in to see how they were doing. After hearing they were doing great we felt better. Once we returned from our travels we arrived slightly early and asked if it was okay to pick up the pups early and she said yes. So we went thinking it was all good and it was but their stuff was just not put together so we had to help putting their stuff together but the dog food bin was left behind. Then she told us to come back and pick it up without any sympathy. We tried to work on a resolution but it turned into a difficult and stressful return home.

Schedule
I’m a stay at home mom and my three children go to school from 8 to 3 so I’m very flexible. I’m never gone for my home from more than an hour or two.

We have a fenced in yard and an animal friendly neighborhood, and we love to take walks, and we can easily create your dog if needed.
A typical day
We can go on long walks in our neighborhood and even go to dog parks. We have a fenced in back yard but also a pet friendly neighborhood where we walk a lot.
