We are so happy to have found Clare for our two dogs. Our frenchie and Belgian Malinois can be a handful but she took great care of them and made them feel loved and cared for. She is punctual, communicates well and responsible. We are grateful to have her for when our pets need a sitter.

About: Hello, my name is Brooke. I am an avid animal lover and pet owner, and I have always had a special bond with animals. I have grown up with animals my whole life from dogs and cats to cows and pigs, even rodents. I currently live with one loving cuddly 9 year old, female cocker spaniel pup. I have had the experience of caring for animals on my own on multiple occasions. I have practice with dog sitting/boarding for friends and family, but I am looking to expand my clientele. I am excited to care for your furry family members. I am a fun, caring, trustworthy, and reliable person. I look forward to pampering and caring for your fur babies. I am currently available anytime, and can’t wait to hear from you!

About: What sets me apart is my lifelong experience caring for animals combined with hands-on volunteer work in animal welfare. I've had dogs and cats for as long as I can remember and have cared for pets through every stage of life, including senior animals. As a volunteer with the Animal Welfare League of Arlington, I worked directly with shelter cats by cleaning kennels, providing food and fresh water, and monitoring their living spaces while being mindful not to cause unnecessary stress. This experience taught me how to respect each animal's comfort level, recognize different personalities, and provide calm, attentive care. I also volunteered with Lost Dog & Cat Rescue Foundation, where I helped socialize animals and connect potential adopters with dogs that matched their lifestyle. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, independent, or needs extra patience, I will provide reliable, compassionate care and follow their routine closely so they feel safe and comfortable while you're away. Pet care has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. This summer, I am completing an internship with varying hours throughout the week, but I am fully available on Mondays and Tuesdays, which are my weekends. On most other days, I am available before work and in the evenings for walks, drop-in visits, and overnight care. Having cared for dogs and cats my entire life, I understand the importance of maintaining a pet's routine and helping them feel comfortable when their owner is away. Whether that means walks, playtime, feeding, drop-in visits, or overnight care, I'm happy to adapt to your pet's individual needs. My goal is to provide dependable, attentive care so your pet feels safe, happy, and well cared for while you're away. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet's routine, personality, and any special care instructions before providing care. Whether I'm visiting your home, taking your dog for a walk, or staying overnight, I'll ensure your pet receives attentive, reliable care. Through my volunteer experience caring for shelter cats, I've learned the importance of being patient, observant, and respectful of each animal's comfort level. I'll follow your instructions closely, provide regular updates and photos, and treat both your pet and your home with the same respect and care that I would my own.

About: I’m a very friendly and outgoing person towards humans and animals! I’ve grown up with both dogs and cats in my household and really enjoy their company. In September 2020, I adopted a 2 month old Labrador/ Great Pyrenees / Shepard mix named Arlo from the Boulder humane society and have had an amazing time raising him! I have experience with small to large dogs, as well as dogs of all ages. I love staying active and being outdoors. Being able to take dogs on walks and spending time with them is a great way to stay active throughout the day. I am glad to be able to spend my extra time taking care of your dog and providing you with the best service that I can to keep you and your dog happy! I will have plenty of time to play with your pups during the week or weekend! We can go on walks, hikes, to the dog park or play in the backyard. I currently live in a 2 bedroom apartment with an open living room, kitchen, balcony and mud room area. I also have a shared back yard, am less than a 2 minute walk from gore creek trail, and only a 5 minute drive away from the west vail dog park. I also have my own dog that would love a play buddy! If at your home, please let me know your preferred areas of play and down time. I can also take your dog to their favorite spots in the area!

About: Hi, My name is Kalina and I am a professional dog sitter with 3 years of experience. I currently walk my boyfriend's dog every day and we have so much fun! Previously I have worked in hotels in Vail where I was often asked to take care of our guests' pets. I am a responsible, punctual and enthusiastic person, who follows clear instructions regarding feeding times and food type, the duration of walks and any additional requirements that you might have. Besides safety, my number one responsibility is that your dog will have a good daily exercise and will enjoy mental and physical stimulation unless instructed otherwise. I will keep your pet entertained and always try to build a good relationship in case you want this to turn into a long-term engagement. Looking forward to meeting your pet!

About: I’ve been caring for dogs and pets for over 12 years and truly enjoy spending time with animals of all kinds. I’m reliable, attentive, and treat every pet like my own. Whether it’s walks, feeding, playtime, or just keeping them company, I make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for. I have experience with puppies, high-energy dogs, and older pets that need a gentler approach. I’m also very aware of behavior, routines, and making sure your pet stays on their normal schedule. Living an active lifestyle, I’m great for dogs that need exercise, but I’m just as happy taking it slow with more relaxed pets. Communication is important to me, so I’ll always keep you updated with photos and check-ins. I have extra time on my hands as I work on my own schedule. Can easily take off time from my daily activities to accommodate. I prioritize safety, trust, and a calm environment for every pet I care for. I follow each pet’s routine closely, including feeding schedules, exercise, and any specific instructions you provide. I always keep a clean and secure space, making sure pets are supervised and comfortable at all times. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of your space and keep everything just as I found it. I pay close attention to behavior and energy levels to ensure your pet is happy and stress-free. I also provide regular updates and photos so you feel confident and at ease while you’re away.

Alex was just fantastic with both our energetic and playful dogs (Belgian Malinous and Aussie Shepherd). She provided us with exactly the dog care we needed during our vacation. They were well-cared for, taken out to the beach and in a great mood when we got back. We'd gladly hire her again. Thank you, Alex!!

Marissa saved the day. With work commitments & a pup with upset stomach, she dropped-in twice in one day. And despite our efforts, Beacon had accidents, which she kindly cleaned up. No one likes being sick, Marissa shared empathy and is now on Beacon's "keeper list."

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Cat Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Cat Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 182 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Vail. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Vail. On Rover:

  • 86% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
