“David’s place was like a home away from home for our two dogs. They have different needs and personalities and David was an excellent caretaker for both of them. I hope to be able to have them visit again!”

“I can't say thank you enough! Emily and Dean took good care of my senior dog while I got to have a much needed vacation and were even flexible to extend when trip complications arose. Communication was great and Bentley clearly enjoyed his time with their dogs. This was my first experience with Rover and having someone I didn't know take care of him. I was incredibly nervous but he was in good hands. I would definitely book with them again in the future!”

“Welcoming and wonderful to our pups she was amazing with them. I like the fact that we get pictures of them and everything I really felt like they were in good hands their my baby”

“Our dogs stay with Qing was excellent. He's on a pretty strict med schedule for his epilepsy and she made sure he got everything on time and even texted us after each dose was given to reassure us. Would definitely let our dog stay with her again :)”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Union Mill
Kaela and her family were incredible! Our dogs are our babies and we've been very particular about finding the perfect boarding place for them and I believe we've found it here! Great communication and even sent pictures during the 1 night they were there. It gives such peace of mind knowing they are in great hands while were away and we look forward to future stays😊

It was great to work with Kristin, She was flexible with our requirements, quick to respond and sent back cute pictures while we were away. Of course, our dog is cute. It was a very comfortable process and I felt like we were leaving our dog with extended family. She did very well for her first time away from us. Good to have this resource for future trips.

Yvonne took awesome care of my puppy Hazel. It was the first time we were away from her and was worried about her adjusting to a different environment. She did great and Yvonne shared pictures and videos everyday so we could see how she was doing. I would recommend Yvonne and will definitely book her again when we travel.

We appreciated how communicative Tonya was while watching our pup. She sent us lots of pictures and gave us regular updates. We knew our girl was well taken care of and having lots of fun with other animals and family members! We’ll definitely have Tonya sit our dog again!

Hannah and Julie are the absolute BEST! I would drive anywhere to have them watch my boys because I trust them completely. Duke is absolutely in LOVE with Hannah ❤️ and Brady adores her too, which means so much because he doesn’t always get close to people so easily. They sent me so many updates and the BEST pictures, which was so reassuring because I really missed my boys while I was away. They were SO happy when I picked them up, and you can tell how loved and well cared for they were. I absolutely love Hannah and Julie and can’t recommend them enough! ❤️🐾

I knew our rescue would be in good hands with David. Communication along the way was perfect. My dog got along well with his pups and David was very patient in helping my shy pup to feel comfortable in a new place. David genuinely shows interest in the dogs under his care and it shows.

During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
