Kieron is friendly and efficient. He has several dogs himself and seems knowledgeable. He and his girlfriend visited my young dog Ivor and they all had a good time playing with toys in the garden and it kept my dog company. They followed instructions and Ivor seemed to have enjoyed himself with them.

About: I am missing my partner in crime. We just recently lost our boy, Kavik, only 8 days before his 15th birthday. He was a Northern Inuit, Czechoslovakian Wolfdog cross, he was entire and fed a raw diet. Over the years he has caused me to cry and laugh a lot, with some very challenging behaviour, but with consistent training he turned into a true gent. I only left him for 16 nights in his life, he came on holiday with us all over the UK and skiing in France 4 times. Knowing how difficult it can be to find someone willing to look after a challenging dog, I thought I would offer my experience and services, but also very happy to look after a laid back pooch/pet too. I have always had pets and looked after my friends & families dogs, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, birds, chickens, reptiles for many years. I am happy to look after any pet, any age and will give a bespoke service for what your pet needs. I am at home all day, and can be as flexible as you need me to be. I am happy to talk and meet first before you make a decision. I drive and I am available to offer a pick up and drop off service. I can give a service that is customised to your needs. I have a secure fenced garden, and I live very close to The Rodwell Trail, The Marsh Recreational Grounds and Weymouth Beach, but love going on adventures around the Dorset area.

I take the time to understand each dog’s unique needs, routines, and personality, ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and happy in my care. With a focus on providing consistent communication and updates, I give you peace of mind, knowing your pet is in reliable, caring hands. Plus, my experience with dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments means I'm prepared for any situation—your furry family member will be treated with the same love and respect they receive at home. About: I’ve been around dogs most of my life, including growing up with my own dog where I helped with daily care, walks, and basic training. More recently, I regularly look after and walk my nan’s dog, making sure she’s exercised and well cared for. I’ve also helped neighbours, friends, and family with dog sitting, walking, and general care, so I’m comfortable with different breeds and personalities. Whether it’s a relaxed walk or a more active one, I’m happy to adapt to what each dog needs. I’m reliable, easy to communicate with, and always make sure dogs feel safe, happy, and properly looked after. I work full-time in the fire service, so I’m reliable and used to responsibility, but I still have good availability for dog walking and pet care. I’m available most evenings during the week and more flexible on weekends. I’m happy to offer walks, drop-in visits, and boarding depending on availability. I provide a safe, calm, and caring environment for every dog in my care. I live in a first-floor flat, and any dogs staying with me will never be left alone, with full-time supervision and regular toilet breaks, attention, and a comfortable space to relax. Dogs in my care will get at least two walks a day, usually around an hour, with everything tailored to suit them. Whether they’re young or older, prefer shorter or longer walks, enjoy the beach or quieter routes, or need to be on or off the lead, I always adapt to their needs and your instructions. I’m happy to provide GPS tracking of walks where possible, along with regular photo updates, so you can see exactly where your dog has been and have full peace of mind while they’re with me.

About: I believe every dog is unique, and I love getting to know their individual personalities, preferences, and what makes them happiest. I have extensive experience working with small and large dogs, and I’ve also owned a very large dog who sadly passed away last year. My bond with her taught me the importance of understanding and meeting a dog’s emotional and physical needs, and I bring that same thoughtful, personalised care to all the pets I look after. Whether your dog is energetic or more laid-back, I am committed to meeting their specific needs. As an athlete by profession, I’m fully equipped to care for and exercise even the most active dogs. At the same time, I’m patient and take a calm, nurturing approach with less active or older dogs. I will ensure that your dog gets the right balance of exercise, mental stimulation, rest, and love. I understand how important it is to cater to dogs with special needs, whether they have anxiety, nervousness, or behavioral quirks. I use a calm, patient approach to help these dogs feel safe, relaxed, and secure while they’re in my care. I also make sure to follow any specific instructions you have to ensure your dog’s well-being. I’m committed to making sure your dog feels at ease, happy, and well cared for while you're away. With my experience, passion for animals, and dedication to providing quality care, I’m confident I can offer your dog the best possible experience. My work as an athlete doesn’t fall under the same schedule as a normal job. When I work I am usually overseas, and come home for 'rest periods’, so when I am home I am free all day everyday! I am available for what your pet care needs are. My ability to fully dedicate my time when I'm home makes me an ideal sitter for those who want someone with a lot of availability and commitment. I am very open to what your dog’s needs are, and will meet them with ease and kindness. My approach is calm, warm, and loving. I have a spacious house with a fenced garden, and a dog field, fenced and safe behind my house. I can wash, train, walk, do off lead training, feed, crate train, puppy train, the list goes on!

Ezra was very thorough with getting to know Bronson on our meet and greet and clearly has good experience and understanding of dog behaviour. Bronson can be a little nervous around new people and Ezra understood when to give Bronson his space. Ezra was very tentative on his drop in and even gave him two walks as he was unsure on the first one. I Would definitely recommend Ezra and rebook. Thank you :)

About: I have always grown up around dogs, having mostly had golden retrievers and a very big Estrella Mountain dog when I was alot younger! have recently just left my role working as a client care assistant at the Medivet 24hr Vet Hospital in Dorchester, where I acquired alot of knowledge relating to pets and their wellbeing - knowing what to look out for emergencies etc. I have also volunteered at the Margaret Green Rescue centre. I just love dogs of all shapes and sizes! I have currently left my role at a vet practice to care for my Grandad. I am really going to miss being surrounded by 4 legged friends so am pretty flexible over the next few months. Another passion of mine is travel so I do have a few trips but open to discussing availability Having 2 goldens, I know how much our fur babies love the attention! If you’re worried about leaving them then do not fear, I am on hand for lots of cuddles and love. Having lived in Dorset my whole life, I know the best spots of beautiful walks (also remote places away from others if reactive)

About: Hello! My name is Maddie. I am 19 and have a genuine love for animals. I grew up surrounded by various animals, such as dogs, cats, hamsters, bunnies, guinea pigs and fish. I have grown up and trained my pup, who is a collie / springer and now have another dog who is a staffy / bulldog, and have always had an open heart to every animal. No job is too big or too small. I am always motivated for a challenge. I have taken care of my dogs since a young age. Taking them on walks, playing games of ball, feeding them well and of course never forgetting lots of cuddles. Currently I am studying a uni course at Weymouth college, whilst working. However, I would like to start dog sitting to get more experience with animals, to have a good opportunity to go into the army as a dog handler. I will make time for your pets, just like mine. If they are shy / nervous / excited / outgoing , they will all be treated with the same patience and love. I am currently at uni two days a week and working 35 hours a week 3/4 days, however I’m still left with around 2/3 days and 2 evenings free to spend with puppers. I have a fenced off, big garden and two dogs that love to play and would get on well with your dog. I can easily make room for crates if needed and live next to a beautiful field and cliffs which are great for walks!

About: I have grown up around animals, having dogs for most of that time. I moved over from South Africa in 2020, bringing my wife, Savannah (who will occasionally join on the walks) and more importantly, two rescues with us. Our family has grown to include two Romanian rescues. One foster that ended up being an adoptee and the other is a fostered while he learns to be around people and adjusts to a new way of life before he moves onto his forever home (unless he just ends up staying forever). I understand the complexities of walking with dogs that don't come from traditional local backgrounds and require a different style of walk to make them feel safe and comfortable while out and about. I am always happy to adjust the walk to match the dog from a nice chilled walk around the block for the golden oldies to a brisk, enrichment-filled walk for the younger, more energetic hounds. Currently, I am taking an online dog first aid course and working my way through a Reactive Dog Training course, designed primarily for Romans but suitable for all dogs. With long-term plans on becoming a dog behaviourist to try help more people with anxious dogs. I currently work full-time with a 4-on-4 schedule for the ambulance service, so I will be marking my availability around those shifts. Some of those work days, I may have availability in the afternoons or late evenings in the summer. I have medical experience not only with the two-legged species but also with four-legged ones. Coming from a conservation background in South Africa has helped with this. I am a strong believer in force-free training and focus on rewarding good behaviour, which I find works amazingly with my four rescues who come with an unknown history and get very nervous around people. Out on walks, I try to utilise scent work and other forms of enrichment to make the walk more enjoyable and enriching for the dogs not only working the body but the brain.

About: With over 20 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs, cats, and a wide variety of animals, I bring a lifelong dedication to animal welfare and wellbeing. I spent 10 years living and working on a farm with boarding kennels, where I was deeply involved in the daily care, feeding, exercise, and monitoring of animals in both home and professional settings. My passion for animals has been a constant throughout my life, reflected not only in my work but also in always having my own cats and dogs. I am confident, compassionate, and attentive to the individual needs of each animal, ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for at all times. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I am around all day, which allows me to make sure pets always have access to fresh food and water. I regularly provide walks, playtime, and attention to keep them active and happy, while also monitoring their overall wellbeing. If medication is needed, I can administer it on schedule, and I am comfortable maintaining any training routines to encourage good behavior and consistency. Overall, I make pet care a priority by ensuring pets are safe, comfortable, exercised, and well cared for throughout the day. I provide a safe, trustworthy, and caring environment where pets can feel comfortable and secure while in my care. I have a good-sized fenced garden for outdoor time and exercise, with woods just behind my home as well as plenty of nearby fields and coastal walks that are perfect for dogs who enjoy exploring and staying active. I understand how important it is for owners to feel confident leaving their pets with someone reliable, and I always aim to give pets the same attention and care they would receive at home. I am also happy to come to your home if preferred, helping pets stay relaxed in a familiar environment and maintain their normal routine.

Yes, absolutely! Many sitters on Rover are experienced in caring for multiple pets simultaneously, whether you have a pack of dogs, a clowder of cats, or a mix of both.

Look for sitters who highlight multi-pet expertise or check for verified reviews from other Weymouth pet parents with similar pet households.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Weymouth choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
