About: I have previous experience with dogs as big as dobermans. I have looked after and raised puppies from day 1 and have had dogs all my life. I am available any day of the week for walks or visits! Would prefer to walk during day light but can do visits later if required I have a 10 month old Labrador at home, which I’m sure you can imagine is very tiring but I love taking him for walks across the fields and cuddles at home.

Tianna took really good care of my little girly. Even though the weather was really hot and couldn't go out for walks, she made sure Tilly had the best of time with one-one play.

Allana was very friendly and professional, coming on time as planned to care for our Cockapoo Winnie today. So thankful to know that someone as caring as Allana was looking after Winnie today. We definitely recommend Allana!

Abi is a natural carer, my cat does not normally gravitate towards people but he instantly stepped forward when she came in the room. She kept us informed on a regular basis, took photos, but generally she just made us feel that he was in very safe hands which is the most importance thing. Thankyou so much Abi. See you soon x :)

About: As a soon to be veterinarian graduating this summer, I bring a unique combination of professional animal-care experience and a genuine lifelong love of animals. I have grown up around dogs, horses and cattle and have spent years caring for and working with animals in a variety of settings. My veterinary training has given me a strong understanding of canine health, behaviour and welfare, as well as the confidence to care for dogs with different needs. I am comfortable looking after puppies, senior dogs and dogs requiring medication or additional care, and I am trained to recognise when a dog may be unwell or needs veterinary attention. Most importantly, I am patient, caring and attentive to each individual dog's personality and routine. I understand that every dog is different, and I want them to feel safe, comfortable and happy while they are in my care. Whether that means an energetic walk, plenty of playtime, a quiet companion for an older dog, or simply sticking closely to their normal routine, I am happy to adapt to their needs. I would treat every dog in my care as if they were my own. As a soon to be veterinarian waiting to graduate, I have a flexible schedule and can dedicate plenty of time to caring for pets. I am available for regular weekday and often weekend bookings, and I am happy to work around your dog's usual routine. I enjoy being active, so walks, playtime and outdoor adventures are something I genuinely look forward to. I can also provide plenty of company and attention at home, while making sure your dog's normal feeding, exercise and medication routines are maintained. I understand how important it is for owners to know their pet is in safe and reliable hands, so I am happy to provide regular updates and photos throughout their stay. Safety and welfare are always my priority. My veterinary training means I am confident recognising changes in a dog's behaviour or health and responding appropriately if something doesn't seem right. In your home, I will respect your space and keep your pet's usual routine as consistent as possible, including feeding, walks, medication and rest. I am happy to follow detailed instructions and make sure your dog feels comfortable and settled. I understand that leaving your pet with someone new can be daunting, so I aim to build trust with both pets and owners through clear communication, regular updates and plenty of care and attention. Every dog is treated as an individual, with their personality, needs and comfort taken into account.

About: Aussie turned Brit, ready to make your dogs feel at home—because if they’re happy, maybe I won’t miss the sun quite as much! 😂 Hi there! I’m Tasha, a lifelong dog lover with extensive experience in pet care. Growing up with dogs has given me a deep understanding of their needs and personalities. During my time in Bondi, I frequently looked after dogs, providing walking, sitting, and general care with love and dedication. I’m committed to ensuring your furry friends receive the attention and exercise they deserve. 🐶🐶 My stats say that I don't send photos with my bookings, but I ALWAYS do! I just don't use the Rover App to send them. Took some time away from this app for personal reasons, but I’m back! ☺️ I work from home, allowing me to dedicate plenty of time to pet care throughout my day. I incorporate regular walks, playtime, and training sessions into my routine, ensuring your dog receives both exercise and attention. With a spacious yard, I can provide a safe environment for pets to play and explore, making their experience enjoyable and enriching. In my home, I prioritise a safe and welcoming environment for pets. I secure hazardous items and provide cosy spaces for relaxation. Whether in my yard or at a pet owner’s home, I maintain routines to ensure pets feel comfortable and cared for. I’m committed to building trust with both pets and their owners, always communicating openly about their needs and behaviours. Your furry friends will be treated like family!

Yes, absolutely! Many sitters on Rover are experienced in caring for multiple pets simultaneously, whether you have a pack of dogs, a clowder of cats, or a mix of both.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in West Dorset choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
