“Thank you so much again Agata for such a wonderful job looking after the kitties/birds/rabbit! It is amazing to know when we go away that our house and animals are so well cared for. Especially with medical conditions to consider. Another amazing visit and booking via Rover.”

About: I have 10 years experience caring for dogs, including my own dogs, and dogs of family members and friends. I have my own dog, Larry, who I absolutely adore. He will stay with my husband whilst I dog sit in other homes. I work full time as a speech therapist, however, much of my work is done from home. Aside from dog sitting, I am available for evenings for dog sitting and walking. My husband Will works from our home, and also has a rover account. He is available to take bookings during week days and also weekends. We have a secure fenced back garden for rest breaks. We are very lucky to live near many open fields for long dog walks, but can also accommodate for older or less mobile dogs.
“Tianna took really good care of my little girly. Even though the weather was really hot and couldn't go out for walks, she made sure Tilly had the best of time with one-one play.”

“Allana was very friendly and professional, coming on time as planned to care for our Cockapoo Winnie today. So thankful to know that someone as caring as Allana was looking after Winnie today. We definitely recommend Allana!”

“Abi is a natural carer, my cat does not normally gravitate towards people but he instantly stepped forward when she came in the room. She kept us informed on a regular basis, took photos, but generally she just made us feel that he was in very safe hands which is the most importance thing. Thankyou so much Abi. See you soon x :)”
About: I have taken care of dogs for way over 8 years for friends, family and local people to me. From walking to bathing, to feeding and cuddles. I love it all, and love spending overnight time with my furry friends I am currently working part time so have a lot of time for my fury friends, with availability to do overnight stays any days of the week. I am very cautious of keeping my fury friends in sight at all times and granted their and their owners wishes for their routines, as well as ensure they get plenty of fun exercise and cuddles
About: I’m a massive animal lover and am a proud owner of two gorgeous cats, Ruby and Oscar- both adopted from unkind homes (Oscar was terrified to begin with and would pee everywhere for months and Ruby was hissing constantly & very scared. Now Oscar’s toileting troubles are under control and he’s growing in confidence day by day and Ruby is the most outgoing friendly cat I’ve ever met introduces herself to all!), and a lovely senior rescue dog from Bulgaria named Rosa. Rosa is dog mad gets so happy any time she sees one she breaks out of her anxious shell that her past has given her (she was previously used for breeding in Bulgaria kept on a chain and then dumped on a rubbish pile once they found out she had a mammary tumour poor thing). The cats are also fairly used to dogs as we’ve fostered a very bouncy collie shepherd rescue before as well as a Labrador puppy. We've also had or looked after small animals such as guinea pigs (I’ve had up to 30 in total but don’t anymore, used to rescue them) , rats (have only had female rats personally), hamsters (Syrians and Russian dwarfs) and have minor experience with reptiles & insects like bearded dragon and stick insects and am happy to care for any animal with the right instructions! I’m capable of bathing any pet that requires it, I can also carry out nail trims for guinea pigs as this is something I had to do a lot when I was rescuing them. I usually work in an early years setting with young children but during the holidays off all I’m doing is planning for my wedding (exciting I know!!) so have plenty of time to care for any pet that needs it! I’m happy to take on multiple and can come to your home if needed but due to my own pets I’d rather it be my own home however this is something I’m more than happy to discuss! I love walking and playing with dogs and cats too! Big or small doesn’t bother me! I have a fully enclosed fenced back garden to keep your pet safe. I have a two calm yet playful dogs and two cats to keep your pet company. I’m happy to adapt to your pet whatever their needs are. I live near the honiton bottom estuary so they’re are plenty of nice walks and am familiar with many areas in Devon and Cornwall! I’m pretty flexible at the moment but rest assured whatever is decided all I want just like you is for your pet to feel safe and comfortable and you feel at ease about it. More than happy to arrange meet and greets to get to know each other or go on dog walks together previously.
About: I’ve taken care of many animals since I was little. From medicating old street dogs in India to puppy training and cuddling! I am a great pet friend I have been travelling around for the last year and I’m currently back in the uk between work and plan to head off again to India later in November so am look for some house sits and pet sitting opportunities. I will care for your pet as you wish me too :) lots of love and walks. I am very mindful to adapt to you animals needs.
“So happy to have found Alannya at short notice to look after our GSDx Bear. We got loads of photo updates, communication was spot on and I left the house feeling super comfortable and happy knowing Bear was in safe hands. Highly recommend x”

Yes, absolutely! Many sitters on Rover are experienced in caring for multiple pets simultaneously, whether you have a pack of dogs, a clowder of cats, or a mix of both.
Look for sitters who highlight multi-pet expertise or check for verified reviews from other West Dorset pet parents with similar pet households.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in West Dorset choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
