I realise they are keen to have reviews but the 1st request was received a few hours after collection & a chase email every day since. About: I am missing my partner in crime. We just recently lost our boy, Kavik, only 8 days before his 15th birthday. He was a Northern Inuit, Czechoslovakian Wolfdog cross, he was entire and fed a raw diet. Over the years he has caused me to cry and laugh a lot, with some very challenging behaviour, but with consistent training he turned into a true gent. I only left him for 16 nights in his life, he came on holiday with us all over the UK and skiing in France 4 times. Knowing how difficult it can be to find someone willing to look after a challenging dog, I thought I would offer my experience and services, but also very happy to look after a laid back pooch/pet too. I have always had pets and looked after my friends & families dogs, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, birds, chickens, reptiles for many years. About: I’ve grown up with dogs - we’ve had a Dalmatian/ husky / Labrador mix as well as a corgi and then a German shepherd rescue dog who was a very nervous and shy dog. About: I’ve looked after dogs for several years both my own and other people’s. I have experience with dogs of all ages and love looking after puppies as much as older dogs. I often work from home so I’m able to give dogs lots of love and attention, I have a large fenced garden and loads of toys for them to play with. A usual day involves long walks, playing in the house and garden, playing with toys and enrichment activities and lots of cuddles! The house is very secure with a gate and wall at the garden so when coming in and out there is no chance of a dog escaping. The house is a few minutes walk from a large field where we regularly take our dog and there are lots of other great walks nearby.

About: I am a huge animal lover and always have been. I had very understanding parents as a child so have experience of most domestic animals. I currently have my own little menagerie including a pony, two dogs, a cat and chickens. I have experience of all ages of dogs from very young puppies to dogs in their twilight years. I try to be as flexible as possible but do fit my Rover commitments in alongside teaching part time and caring for my own menagerie. I have recently moved to the Bridport area from London, where I previously walked dogs in my local area. I offer half hourly and hourly walks and have my own transport. I am currently at uni two days a week and working 35 hours a week 3/4 days, however I’m still left with around 2/3 days and 2 evenings free to spend with puppers. I have a fenced off, big garden and two dogs that love to play and would get on well with your dog. I can easily make room for crates if needed and live next to a beautiful field and cliffs which are great for walks!

If the lead goes taut, I stop completely until it slackens, teaching them that a loose lead is the only way to move forward. • Tiered Reward Systems: I use "Standard" kibble for easy tasks and "High-Value" treats (like chicken or cheese) for emergency recall or high-distraction situations. • Short, High-Intensity Bursts: Dogs learn best in 5–10 minute sessions. I keep training short and always finish on a "win" to keep their confidence and engagement high. • Positive Reinforcement Only: I focus entirely on rewarding desired behaviors. I never use aversive equipment like choke chains or prong collars. • The "Watch Me" Check-In: I train dogs to respond to a "Watch" cue, allowing me to regain their attention immediately if a squirrel or another dog appears nearby. • Capturing Calmness: Beyond active commands, I reward "Settle" behaviors. If a dog chooses to relax while we wait at a crossing, they receive a calm reward to reinforce a relaxed default state. I balance a professional part-time role in Dorchester with a disciplined morning routine of market analysis, which I typically conclude by 11:00 AM. This structure allows me to dedicate the vast majority of my day to taking dogs on high-energy adventures through the Dorset countryside. While my professional shifts can vary, I am consistently available all day Monday, Tuesday, and Sunday. I pride myself on reliability and clear communication, ensuring your dog's routine is never disrupted. My long-term goal is to transition into full-time animal care, so I treat every walk as a commitment to building a lasting bond with your pet. I ensure that every pet has their own dedicated personal space, including their own bed, food, and water to maintain an stress-free environment. Your dog will have easy access to a secure, fully fenced garden for play and relaxation. During our outings, I strictly limit my groups to a maximum of 4 dogs at any one time. I believe that maintaining total control is the key to a safe and enjoyable walk in the Dorset countryside. For dogs that are less social or require more focused attention, I also offer specialized solo walks. To provide a truly comprehensive service, I can also incorporate basic training during our walks and offer grooming services, such as baths and brushing, to keep your pet looking and feeling their best. I will eventually get the license to have dogs at my property if you would prefer that as well.

I have a sprokerpoo called Ernie, and we’ve recently had this issue! I work from home with my own business in social media management, so I thought why not offer pet sitting and other services! I also have qualifications in teaching and elderly care so I am an overall compassionate and loving person! As I work from home (or anywhere with internet) I can virtually be free most of the time to pet sit! I drive and am happy to travel to you for petrol fees! If anyone has any questions you can always message! I am very eager to meet, play with and love your pets just as much as you do 🤍 I work for myself, so I choose my own hours! If you have internet in your home (if I’m house sitting) your pet friends will have a companion all day everyday for as long as you need! Working from home means I have availability to walk and drop in to see your little darlings too! In my home, I have a fully enclosed garden and have to make sure everything is put away! (Shoes are my puppy’s favourite!) I am very aware of my surroundings with my dog and what is safe for him to eat/not eat! I work full time for myself from home so this allows me a large amount of flexibility regarding my routine. This is a huge benefit to pet owners I help as I can work around your schedule/your pets schedule at ease! If I have any work calls whilst at your home I will let you know timings in advance, but this will not impact your pet sitting/daycare experience in any way! If your pet is coming to my home. He/she will be safe at all times. I won’t leave your pet if that’s what you require and make sure they are safe and well looked after at all times!
About: My family had a boxer dog called Charlie before I was born until I was 6. My grandparents also had a dog until two years ago, who I walked and played with. My neighbour also would being their cocker-spaniel Poppy to our house a few weekends a year, for us to look after, including taking on regular walks, out to the toilet, etc. I would like to petsit a few weekends a year, probably once a month, and am happy to travel to a variety of places for this. I will ensure the safety of your pet at all times, ensuring I follow the instructions you provide to fulfil the individual needs of your pet. I have high attention to detail, and have worked in environments where responsibility and caring for others is of extreme importance (I worked in a nursery for 3 months over the summer 2021).
