About: Growing up, I always wished I could have a dog. Family friends of ours got a labradoodle 5 years ago, and since he was brought home to his owners, my mum and I have been his holiday care. We were involved at an early stage for him to familiarise himself with us and our home, and we attended some of the puppy training classes with him. I can appreciate leaving your fur baby with a stranger is hard, and I’d love to be the go to person for you! I currently work full time four days a week (my day off changes each week). I’m available weekday evenings 5:30-11pm for dog care. I’m available Saturday afternoons and Sundays. My current flat does not have an outdoor space, however I live right by Tooting Common which lends itself to plenty of walks and ball games for your fur baby.
“Shuk Han, was brilliant at looking after my cat Zac, he was a bit stand offish when she 1st came round, but by the end of the week, he was greeting her as soon as she visited. This was the 1st time using a cat sitter, so was a little worried having a stranger into my home, but she was great and reassuring, she gave me plenty of updates and photos, every visit, if your looking for a reliable, friendly cat sitter, please give Shuk Han a chance, she was brilliant. 😊”

About: Hello! My name is Niamh and I live in SW London with my partner, Andy and our 2-year old Welsh Springer Spaniel, Murphy (he's the little red and white guy in my profile picture). Andy and I both grew up with dogs as kids and we're pretty easy going as owners- dogs are allowed on the furniture and upstairs etc. (provided they pay the cheese tax, of course). Murph usually spends his day curled up like a croissant or on neighbourhood watch from the back of the sofa while we work. We work from home most of the week and have Tooting Common right at the bottom of our road (60-second walk) so given we're in there every day, at least once per day, and our flat is quite spacious, we thought it would be nice for a furry pal to join us during the day, for a weekend, or simply for a walk on the Common. We take Murph out at lunch and play with him constantly throughout the day but thought a playmate would potentially be more fun for him (and them)! Murph is great with other dogs and has only every been playful and good-tempered towards them. :) I work full-time, often from home and flexibly. I could look after your pet for a full day, evening, for a full week or weekend... and they would have a furry playmate! I live in an upstairs flat over 2.5 floors, lots of comfy spots for your dog to have a snooze and we have Tooting Common at the bottom of our road- we're in there every day!
About: Growing up with dogs, I understand that they are a loved family member with unique needs. I look forward to being their best friend and carer. Working from home means I’m always around to keep your dog comfortable, whether that’s mealtimes, walks, or just curling up together on the couch. I live near several parks and love nothing more than a good walk (or multiple) followed by a relaxed evening in. Your dog’s safety is my top priority. My home is secure, comfortable, and set up to keep dogs relaxed, with space to relax or play. I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages throughout their stay, so you always know how they’re doing. You can trust that your dog will be treated with the same care and attention I’d want for my own.

About: Hi! I’m a reliable and caring dog lover who enjoys spending time with animals and making sure they feel comfortable, safe, and happy. While I don’t currently own a dog myself, I’ve had lots of hands-on experience helping care for my brother’s dog as well as my sister’s two dogs over the years. I’m comfortable with walks, feeding, playtime, keeping dogs company, and helping maintain routines. I understand that every dog has a different personality and energy level, so I always try to be patient, attentive, and make sure they feel relaxed and well looked after. I’m active, dependable, and genuinely enjoy being around dogs, whether that’s going for walks, giving them attention, or simply making sure they’re cared for while you’re busy. I’d love the opportunity to meet your dog and provide a safe, positive experience every time! I currently work from home, which gives me a very flexible schedule and plenty of availability throughout the week. I’m available for dog walks most days after 11AM, and I’m happy to work around your dog’s usual routine whenever possible. I enjoy staying active and making sure dogs get the exercise, attention, and care they need. I always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for in their own environment. I have hands-on experience helping care for my brother’s Cockapoo as well as my sister’s German Shepherd and Husky, so I’m comfortable with both smaller dogs and larger, high energy breeds. I’m attentive to routines, feeding instructions, walk preferences, and each dog’s individual personality. I’ll always treat your pet with patience, care, and attention while keeping you updated for peace of mind.
About: I’ve had dogs since the age of 12 and my love for animals has always been consistent in my life. I was a volunteer dog walker for 4 years at university, even adopting one, who now lives at home with my parents (and our other 2 dogs!). Dog care experience has ranged from elderly dogs to puppies. I work from home and can be flexible on my days. Can also take breaks and longer lunch as and when needed. Live right near a common, as well as having a garden, so there’s lots of space to explore. I currently work in the office 3 days a week (flexible days) and have plenty of time to dedicate to dogs. Please feel free to message me as I’m always happy to be flexible! I’m happy to adjust my home to the needs of your dog. Please let me know any situations that best suit your dog, and message me to see how I can adapt.

About: Since moving to London, one of the things I’ve missed most is having my family dog around. Looking after your dogs gives me a lovely chance to spend time with dogs again while giving you peace of mind that they’re being cared for by someone who really loves being around them. I know how much dogs are part of the family, and I’ll make sure yours receives plenty of attention, affection and care while you’re away. I’ve been around dogs my whole life and have grown up with dogs of all different sizes, breeds and personalities. Because of this, I’m very comfortable caring for a wide range of dogs and I enjoy getting to know each dog’s unique character and routine. For two years, I volunteered at a retired greyhound rehoming kennel, where I helped care for them while they waited to find their forever homes. It was incredibly rewarding and gave me valuable hands-on experience working with dogs of different ages, temperaments and backgrounds, helping them feel safe and comfortable. After spending so much time with the dogs, my family ended up rehoming 2 retired racers of our own, so I know how important it is to help rescue dogs settle into home life and become much-loved family pets. I’ve also spent several years walking dogs in my local area, which helped me build confidence handling a variety of breeds and personalities. During this time, one family’s dogs had a litter of puppies which I helped care for before they found homes, giving me the knowledge of the extra care and attention young dogs need. I’d love the opportunity to get to know you and your dog, and make sure they feel happy, comfortable and well looked after while you’re away! I currently work full-time in Architecture, so I’m available for evening and weekend visits. From September, I’ll be starting my Masters, which will give me more flexibility during the week. At that point, I’ll be able to offer daytime drop ins as well as longer visits where I can spend time keeping your dog company while I work. I’d love the opportunity to fit around your dog’s routine, whether that’s a quick check-in, a walk, or simply providing some company and attention throughout the day. When caring for pets in their own home, I know how important it is that they feel safe, comfortable and relaxed in their familiar environment. I take time to understand each pet’s routine, personality and needs so I can provide care that feels consistent and reassuring for them. I treat every home with the same respect and care that I would my own, keeping doors, gates and any safety precautions secure, following your instructions and making sure pets are always supervised and comfortable. Building trust is really important to me, both with the pet and their owner. I can provide regular updates, photos and messages so you can feel confident that your dog is happy, safe and receiving plenty of attention while you’re away.

About: I grew up with dogs and cats and love meeting dogs, taking them for walks and keeping them entertained. I've got a garden they can play in, I'm near Tooting Common for walks or can come to your house and take them for walks in your neighbourhood. I live alone so there's no worries about other people or children. I have experience with rescue dogs and am currently available all week days. I'm not currently working so I am available week day day times, some evenings and some weekends. I run regularly so if your dog enjoys running too they can join me on trots around the common. My house has a decent sized fenced in garden and I'm also near Tooting Common for walks. I do not have any pets of my own so your pup will get my full attention.

“Chloe was so fantastic with Lottie and a great communicator. We felt totally at ease knowing she was with our pup ❤️ would highly highly recommend Chloe to look after other animals and we sincerely hope she’d help us out again ❤️”

About: I've grown up with cats and dogs as key members of my family. So have a lifetime of experience of care and play with family pets. I am self employed so I'm very flexible and will be able to accommodate yours and your pets preferred schedule. Though I will require a few days notice. My home has a small fenced garden and I am just a 2 minute walk from Tooting Common. I will treat your home with respect and ensure your pet gets the full attention they need.

About: I have been around pets since I was young - I have cat sit over the years, including injecting insulin each morning and taking various dogs and service dogs for walks over the years with my experience working in theatre and hospitality environments. I work Monday to Friday mostly mornings and afternoons so usually my evenings five days a week and weekends including Bank Holidays are completely free! With caring for pets in someone else’s home I will trust and follow to the letter any instructions given as to what their pet finds most comfortable. I’m not disrupting any little pal’s usual flow!

Dog owners share their Rover experiences - Streatham
Fran helped me out super last minute with a weekend drop in on our spaniel, Roger. Fran communicated clearly and asked for preferences of how to structure the drop in which I really appreciated. Roger was happy and the house was left perfectly on our return. Would definitely book again. Thanks Fran!

Jurate was absolutely brilliant at looking after our Boxer dog Scooby and Bengal cat Scout when we were away for a week. She is very reliable, with great communication and our home was immaculate when we returned. Scooby loved her and was super relaxed and happy when we arrived home - he is usually quite anxious when we are away. I would unreservedly recommend her.

This is our first time using Rover and having someone check in on our new addition, as such we were quite nervous. Daiane was amazing and put us wholly at ease. At our Meet & Greet she showed such interest in getting to know Barney and his routines. Barney is not always a straightforward dog and Daiane clearly understood this and wanted to know how to manage him. The visits clearly helped Barney on his days alone and we will certainly be rebooking. Thank you, Daiane!

This was Dottie’s first drop in by Natasha. Natasha sent lots of photos and it was very evident that Dottie was relaxed and comfortable in her company. Natasha made sure her water was fresh before she left which was a nice extra touch. Thank Natasha! Dottie looks forward to seeing you again soon

Blaise was very flexible and able to stay over at mine very last minute to care for my dog and two cats. As usual she was absolutely amazing. Blaise is kind and genuinely goes above and beyond to ensure your pets are feeling loved and cared for in your absence! I received lots of photos and videos of playtimes and cuddles in bed. My shy cat who is scared of his own shadow even warmed to her and slept in next to her which just made me feel so happy. It’s such a reassurance that she’s a vet nurse and is there if anything were to happen. I came home to a clean house, clean litter trays and 3 very happy pets. Couldn’t have asked for more! Exceptional service and highly recommend!

Tatiana was absolutely lovely with Lia. She was very sweet, caring, and attentive from the beginning, and kept me updated during the visit, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. When I got home, Lia was very calm and happy, and it was clear she had been well looked after and given lots of attention and affection. I would definitely book with her again and highly recommend her 🐾😊

I couldn’t be happier with the care Tess receives! She is treated with so much love, attention and patience, and it truly shows. I always feel completely at ease knowing she is in such good hands. It’s not just about looking after her, it’s the genuine care and affection that makes all the difference. Tess absolutely loves her time there, and that says everything. Highly recommend!
