I highly recommend Luke as a cat sitter. he is responsible, trustworthy, and truly cares about animals. My cat can sometimes be shy with new people, but quickly warmed up to him. Communication was excellent, and everything was handled perfectly from start to finish."

Angie recently looked after our two cats for the first time and she was great. The cats were well looked after and we're clearly happy and relaxed around her. She took the time to play with them each visit, and she left everything spotlessly clean and tidy. She sent us regular updates, including photos and videos. We would highly recommend her!

About: I’ve had experience with a variety of dogs throughout childhood, but have raised labradors from puppies in my adult life. Whilst having the opportunity to be at home through the week, the biggest thing I can offer you is my time and dedication; I love all breeds and no requirement is too small. Please feel free to get in touch, even if just for a chat! My long term plans involve completing my studies to become a mental health practitioner, so I have a lot of home availability and wanted to fill my time with something that I’m really passionate about. I have a fenced garden, security cameras and a friendly Labrador to keep your dog company and entertained! I’m always attentive to making sure Toby is fed, has access to water bowls, and acknowledging communication and signals for their biological needs and play schedules! Very happy to do a meet and greet to see how you, and perhaps most importantly, your dog feels in our environment!

We had our first drop-in session with Simon today, and it was a very positive experience. I’ve only ever left our Boston Terrier, Edie, at a kennel because she can be a real handful; a novice would definitely struggle with her high energy and strong prey drive. However, Simon was an absolute expert in his interactions with her and handled her with ease. He was highly professional, eager to learn Edie's quirks, and more than happy to follow our specific routines. Beyond his responsibility, he’s been incredibly kind, patient, and understanding in all of our interactions. Edie thoroughly enjoyed their time together and was as happy as a clam when I collected her! I plan on leaving her with him again soon and I’m very pleased to have found him on Rover.

About: As a dog handler in the Army, I have had the privilege of working with a wide range of breeds, each with their own unique personalities and characteristics. My passion for understanding animal behavior has led me to pursue extensive education in the field, including achieving a Level 3 animal care and welfare assistant certification for working dogs, as well as a Level 3 diploma in canine care, behaviour, and welfare. I have two lovely dogs myself and I can assure you your loving member will get the same experience when they stay with me. My dogs come first and routine, enrichment, walks and lots of fuss is a must ! I do currently work full time but with work being round the corner I am able to check with them frequently. Mondays I start later, Wednesdays and Friday I finish earlier. I come home on lunches to walk my own dog for toilet breaks and as I would with any dogs I look after. When I’m at work, dogs will get walked in the morning before I go to work (45mins - 1hour), lunchtime (10-15mins) and in the afternoon (30mins-1hour) I also do one last time about 2000 in the evening as my dog doesn’t always toilet in the back garden. I do my best to stick to this routine just so they are settled in the house. I always give my own dog enrichment when I leave the house. If there’s no issues with resource guarding I can do this too. This can be discussed further on meets or over message. I live in the country side with a lot of safe places to walk the dogs. Plenty of open areas. I have fenced back garden and a friendly dog. I love providing my dog with a structured routine so you can be assured that your furry member will be treated the same.

About: My prices may be a little higher than some on Rover, but I am the ONLY licensed dog boarder on this site in Peterborough. This means that I am regulated by the Council who have inspected my property and approved me as a professional boarder/daycare provider, governed by DEFRA regulations. Licence Number 119691 Issued by Peterborough City Council. Please use this link to receive £15 off your first booking with me…. https://www.rover.com/sit/lynnd34729 Please ensure any dog boarder or doggy daycare provider that you use, is licensed by the local Council. If they don’t display a license number, they haven’t got one !!! Any insurance that they may hold (including any that Rover give) will be invalidated….as any insurance will be, that you have. Don’t take the chance of something happening to your furbaby ! Ask to see the license…..to make sure. At Dixons dog sitters, we are BIG softies for all animals....but especially for dogs. I have owned and looked after dogs of my own now, for over 40 years and the profile photo shows our pup...7 year old Polly. I have now professionally looked after other peoples dogs for 4 years. I have full public liability insurance. I also hold a pet first aid certificate and a diploma in pet care. Our dog, Polly is such a fun little girl, who loves to play. Polly can sometimes be bossy with younger dogs, but once settled down they quickly form very close friendship bonds. She shares her toys, her home, her owners…and even her food with her new doggy friends. I am semi retired and work part time from home, so I am available 24/7 to pamper and care for your fur baby. Paul (my Husband) works nights, so is up and around from lunchtime every day, so there is ALWAYS someone at home. Your dog will never be left alone, and when it is too hot or too wet to go outside, there are always lots of toys to play with. They will DEFINITELY get spoiled when they holiday with Aunty Lynn and Uncle Paul ! We will care for small to medium sized dogs that fit the following criteria. However, we do occasionally take on bigger dogs (lurchers, labradors etc) Your dog needs to be socialised with other dogs. Not be aggressive in any way. Walk nicely on the lead. Be able to sleep alone or with other dogs. Please take a look at some of the reviews left by owners. Dixons dog sitters holds £2million public liability insurance and we will take care of your fur baby, as well as we take care of our own. I always insist on a meet and greet before your dog comes to stay. This will reassure you, that our house is a safe, secure, clean and loving environment. You get to meet our dog and any other dogs that are staying at the time. This makes the whole process so much easier to handle for everyone concerned. I know how stressful it can be, to leave your pets with anyone, other than family. We will never take dogs out in the heat of the day, or when it is raining heavily and won't let them off lead, unless told that they can be trusted to not run away. We have a large secure garden with shaded areas to play in, and enjoy indoor playtime and enrichment activities, when we are unable to go out for a walk, due to adverse weather conditions. We allow all dogs the full run of the house.....but have a barrier at the bottom of the stairs, and at the entrance to the kitchen, where they can be contained, if we open the front door. We are getting electric gates fitted soon. Every aspect is covered to keep them safe, secure and happy, whilst they are in my care. We always send lots of updates and photos to reassure owners. I am licensed to board 5 dogs at a time, so your dog needs to be well socialised and toilet trained. All dogs are walked once/twice a day....weather and ability dependant. All dogs are let out into our large secured garden to play, or go to the toilet every hour or so. In the Summer months, the back door is left open, so they can come and go as they please. Their last toilet break is usually around midnight. Your fur baby will become part of our family whilst you are away. There are no favourites in this household, and no forbidden areas. Everyone is treated the same. If Polly goes for a walk, so does your dog. If Polly gets a treat, so does your dog. You can enjoy your time away, knowing that your fur baby will not just be taken care of….they will be loved. Please read my testimonials. Lynn is semi retired and works from home and Paul works nights, so is up and about from lunchtime onwards. There is always at least one of us at home. We have a large private and secure garden where dogs can run and play. Enrichment activities are part of the day and walkies are twice daily. We have a barrier that is placed at the bottom of the stairs and a barrier to contain any dogs whilst we answer the front door.

About: I am currently looking after a dog for a friend on a weekly basis, often going to the park, looking after him overnight, and sometimes day trips. I have raised my family dog since he was a puppy, so am fully aware of what that entails. When I go back home, I walk and take care of him. I live with my boyfriend who has had cats in the past, so I am used to having them in the house and how to take care of them. With this, I have lots of experience of walking, feeding, bathing, and keeping pets happy! I'm currently working from home full-time, so can look after pets at any time! My hours are also very flexible so I'm able to go for walks during my working day. I live in a flat, with a secure back garden that is fenced in. The front door to the flat block is always kept locked. I am happy to do whatever is needed to keep your pet safe and happy!

As our cats can be very timid around people they don’t know, we were worried about how they would cope when we went away for a short break. Magdalena was great with our cats, she took time to make sure they were all okay and kept us informed throughout each visit, she also made sure that we had photos as well. Would definitely book Magdalena again.
