“We have never left our cockerpoo off with anyone but family! but Stacey was brilliant. Oliver had a lovely time with Stacey’s family, he loves children and other dogs so he was in his element! Thank you for giving us a worry free break where we knew Oliver was in good hands by receiving photos and messages throughout the stay. 10/10 service would highly recommend. Stacey also took this booking very last minute with very quick responses which is very much appreciated! Thank you for looking after Bobby !”

“Our dog jack stayed with Tom and his family for a weekend, Jack was recovering from an operation which hadn't healed very well and needed medication. Tom looked after him extremely well and gave us lots of updates putting us at ease. Jack seemed extremely settled with him. We will definitely be asking Tom to look after Jack again when we're away I'm the future. Couldn't be happier”

“Kaos really enjoyed his time away, he has some issues with having 1 eye and needing some meds but they looked after him well, even when he got stressed on day one. Calmed and enjoyed the rest of his stay. I would definitely recommend Billie and Kane as they were so understanding and he came back feeling happy and he was so excited when we got back which was lovely as he is heading to 16 years old but can be puppy like but needs the support too, Thank you both, can’t wait to book again..”

We had lots of pupdates with pictures and could see our fur baby was really cared for. We will definitely be using these lovely people again and would highly recommend them.”

“Shaun and his family looked after my dog so well - he had a wonderful time. They are very caring and they were very happy to walk and play with my dog. I am very grateful and I will certainly be calling on them again. Thank you!”

“Another successful stay … our pack of greyhounds are welcomed into their home and thoroughly spoilt with attention, walks and liver cake. I suspect it’s like visiting your favourite aunt and uncle :-)”

“Louise was a complete life saver and we will be forever grateful. Our lovely old man Marley needed an urgent place to stay, and Louise kindly took him in. We were so very lucky to find someone who knew all about the special needs of old dogs. Marley made special friends with Louise's pack, especially James, a beautiful King Charles of a similar age to Marley. Louise kept us up to date with regular news and photos of the pack all hanging out together. Marley was so well cared for, it seemed like he was having a holiday himself. I would not hesitate in recommending Louise, she has that something special that we all look for in the temporary guardian of our furry companions.”

“We were a little nervous about leaving our little Billy for the first time sleeping away from home but he absolutely loved his first ever sleepover with Scott, Fraser and Cleo! Billy has spent the day with Scott a few times and he ensured that he knew Billy’s eating/walking/sleeping needs in advance and sent us lots of updates and photos of what they’d been up to throughout the day and the following morning! It really put us at ease knowing that he was being lovingly looked after by Scott and Fraser and enabled us to have a lovely evening away! Thank you so much both, would recommend Scott and Fraser to anyone looking for their dog to have a lovely sleepover 😊”

“Peanut had a lovely week with Irina, I was kept updated throughout the week through messages and pictures, Peanut enjoyed all her fuss and attention, would definitely recommend Irina”

About: I’ve grown up with cats for as long as I can remember and have always felt completely at ease around them. My family had two cats during my childhood in the South of France, including one who started as a stray and chose us. We eventually adopted him after he kept coming back for food and affection, and we couldn’t say no! When I turned 18, we welcomed two new kittens, Gino and Luna, at around 13 weeks old. I absolutely loved raising them. Watching them grow, learning their personalities, and helping with their training has been such a rewarding experience. Although I’ve since moved out, I still make sure to visit home every week because I simply can’t go long without seeing them! I am also lucky to get to spend time with my dad’s cats in the south of France during the summers, so I’m very used to being around different cats in different environments. I’m confident, patient, and genuinely love spending time with cats of all temperaments, whether that’s playing, feeding, or simply keeping them company. I’d treat your cat with the same care and attention I’ve always given my own.

About: Even though my expertise are in dogs, I have had experience in caring for a couple cats during my 4 years of dog care. I realise each cat is different so am happy to learn about your animals needs and give them all the attention or space that they need. I have in the past house sat and cat sat for families for weeks at a time with no problems! I am currently studying a degree in bioveterinary sciences so my true passion is to make sure your animal is always safe and cared for.

About: I have had cats since I was a child growing up in South Africa and my love of them has not changed. I have experience in kittens, as well as dealing with older cats who may need special attention or medications. As I have also have 3 of my own cats so understand how special they are and will always treat them as such.

“First time we have used the Rover app for looking after our two cats and couldn’t recommend Oscar enough. Loved getting photos while we were away. I think Theo was gutted when we got home!”

“Magdalena was absolutely great. My cats loved her. She did an excellent job in looking after them and sent me lots of photos while I was away. I will definitely be rebooking with her”

About: Hello there! My name is Cara (mummy), together with my 10 year old son, Joey we spend our time exploring quirky little places all over the world. Check us out @aroundtheworldinlittlesteps if you want to find out about us more. I currently work remotely as an online tutor, but I love languages and art and nature. I are big animal lovers and have always had them in our lives. Although exploring new places means we can't have a furry family member full time, I have looked after dogs, cats. I rescued a dog and 5 kittens from the streets of Brazil when living there last year and successfully re-homed them. I'll will be sure to update you with lots of pictures. Being outdoors is my favourite hobby and sharing that experience together with an animal is something I thrive on. Looking forward to meeting you and you furry/ or not animal family members soon! Cara

About: My prices may be a little higher than some on Rover, but I am the ONLY licensed dog boarder on this site in Peterborough. This means that I am regulated by the Council who have inspected my property and approved me as a professional boarder/daycare provider, governed by DEFRA regulations. Licence Number 119691 Issued by Peterborough City Council. Please use this link to receive £15 off your first booking with me…. https://www.rover.com/sit/lynnd34729 Please ensure any dog boarder or doggy daycare provider that you use, is licensed by the local Council. If they don’t display a license number, they haven’t got one !!! Any insurance that they may hold (including any that Rover give) will be invalidated….as any insurance will be, that you have. Don’t take the chance of something happening to your furbaby ! Ask to see the license…..to make sure. At Dixons dog sitters, we are BIG softies for all animals....but especially for dogs. I have owned and looked after dogs of my own now, for over 40 years and the profile photo shows our pup...7 year old Polly. I have now professionally looked after other peoples dogs for 4 years. I have full public liability insurance. I also hold a pet first aid certificate and a diploma in pet care. Our dog, Polly is such a fun little girl, who loves to play. Polly can sometimes be bossy with younger dogs, but once settled down they quickly form very close friendship bonds. She shares her toys, her home, her owners…and even her food with her new doggy friends. I am semi retired and work part time from home, so I am available 24/7 to pamper and care for your fur baby. Paul (my Husband) works nights, so is up and around from lunchtime every day, so there is ALWAYS someone at home. Your dog will never be left alone, and when it is too hot or too wet to go outside, there are always lots of toys to play with. They will DEFINITELY get spoiled when they holiday with Aunty Lynn and Uncle Paul ! We will care for small to medium sized dogs that fit the following criteria. However, we do occasionally take on bigger dogs (lurchers, labradors etc) Your dog needs to be socialised with other dogs. Not be aggressive in any way. Walk nicely on the lead. Be able to sleep alone or with other dogs. Please take a look at some of the reviews left by owners. Dixons dog sitters holds £2million public liability insurance and we will take care of your fur baby, as well as we take care of our own. I always insist on a meet and greet before your dog comes to stay. This will reassure you, that our house is a safe, secure, clean and loving environment. You get to meet our dog and any other dogs that are staying at the time. This makes the whole process so much easier to handle for everyone concerned. I know how stressful it can be, to leave your pets with anyone, other than family. We will never take dogs out in the heat of the day, or when it is raining heavily and won't let them off lead, unless told that they can be trusted to not run away. We have a large secure garden with shaded areas to play in, and enjoy indoor playtime and enrichment activities, when we are unable to go out for a walk, due to adverse weather conditions. We allow all dogs the full run of the house.....but have a barrier at the bottom of the stairs, and at the entrance to the kitchen, where they can be contained, if we open the front door. We are getting electric gates fitted soon. Every aspect is covered to keep them safe, secure and happy, whilst they are in my care. We always send lots of updates and photos to reassure owners. I am licensed to board 5 dogs at a time, so your dog needs to be well socialised and toilet trained. All dogs are walked once/twice a day....weather and ability dependant. All dogs are let out into our large secured garden to play, or go to the toilet every hour or so. In the Summer months, the back door is left open, so they can come and go as they please. Their last toilet break is usually around midnight. Your fur baby will become part of our family whilst you are away. There are no favourites in this household, and no forbidden areas. Everyone is treated the same. If Polly goes for a walk, so does your dog. If Polly gets a treat, so does your dog. You can enjoy your time away, knowing that your fur baby will not just be taken care of….they will be loved. Please read my testimonials. Lynn is semi retired and works from home and Paul works nights, so is up and about from lunchtime onwards. There is always at least one of us at home. We have a large private and secure garden where dogs can run and play. Enrichment activities are part of the day and walkies are twice daily. We have a barrier that is placed at the bottom of the stairs and a barrier to contain any dogs whilst we answer the front door.

About: I have taken care of many cats especially due to my career in veterinary nursing. Back in the family home I have a 3 year old blind cat in which he needed a lot of assistance to begin with but now lives a very happy and chilled life so lots of experience adapting to individual needs. Now having a younger cat from owning since a stray kitten I have seen the other side of a very independent cat who loves the outdoors. If I am to have the joys of cat sitting/boarding I can put additional precautions into place ie separating from the dogs or shutting the cat slap.

“Katie was fantastic with our pup, Gimli, and so communicative! We really appreciated how much she stayed in touch with us. Our pup was so well taken care of - Katie took him on walks and even carried on our training. Her own dog was brilliant with Gimli, too. Thank you so much Katie!”

“Ingrid has been wonderful with Rua. Rua took to her and her husband straight away and loves spending time with them. We have two male cockapoos, one of which is of senior age. We have previously had Great Danes (gorgeous breed) and have grown up round a variety of breeds. We have two children age 10 and 13 who have grown up around animals and absolutely love dogs and if your dog wants to run around with smaller humans they’re all for it. I work from home part time so I’m available for cuddles on the sofa and they can play freely with open access to the enclosed garden. We will accommodate so that everything is familiar to what they are used to for example sleeping in the kitchen, sleeping in a bedroom, being on furniture and so forth. I know they are your babies and we will take great care of them. I work from home part time and I’m kept company by my two cockerpoos; one who is old and quite happily chills and the other who is seven and can always be encouraged to play. We have a secure enclosed garden where they will have access to play freely. We have lots of walks and greenery close by so they don’t have to do the same route all the time and can adapt the walks we take to your dogs needs.

“Many thanks Tom and your lovely family, for taking good care of Daisy yesterday. Our labradoodle is 11 now and it’s the 1st occasion we have left her with Tom. He sent through some lovely photos of Daisy with the children, which was very reassuring and gave us the confidence to know that she had settled in and will be fine when we leave her again. Hopefully next time the weather will be less soggy for your walks !”

“Angie is EXCELLENT! From initial contact communication was great, we needed someone to walk our dog for initially 4 days then extended it 8 which she accommodated for us. The initial meet & greet went brilliant, our dog Iggi can be reticent with people she doesn’t know but immediately warmed to Angie. She excitedly greeted her when going on a walk and Angie always sent a little report with each walk and a couple of photos. Iggi came back from each walk sated and happy. We cannot praise Angie highly enough and will use her in future when we are in the area visiting family & friends”

“I highly recommend Millie! She has helped us with our puppy. She has been very flexible and reliable so far and our puppy came back from his walk with her a happy, bouncy and nicely tired boy. She is flexible and great value for money. I am very happy having her care for our dogs.”

I’m reliable, patient, and happy to follow your pet’s usual routine to help them feel comfortable and stress-free while you’re away. Since I’m home most of the day, your pets will rarely be left alone and will get plenty of love, supervision, and regular updates. I provide a safe, loving, and fun environment for every pet in my care. At my home, I have a secure fenced garden and a very friendly, playful dog to keep your dog company. I always stick closely to your pet’s usual schedule, including feeding, walks, playtime, and bedtime routines, to help them feel comfortable and settled. When caring for pets in your home, I’ll follow all instructions carefully, keep their routine consistent, and make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and affection while you’re away.
About: I’ve had pets ever since I was little and loved looking after them. I absolutely love nature and all animals (I don’t eat meat and my dream is to save the environment). My dogs, Sky and Lolly, and my cat, Ivy, are my whole world so I know how scary it is to leave your fur-baby with someone new. I am absolutely dedicated to making sure that all animals in (and out of) my care are well looked after and feel safe and loved! I’ve got a big heart and can’t resist looking after any animal I come across. I’m currently working part time so I can be available for walks and boarding most evenings/ Thursdays and Fridays during the day. Availability: Monday: evenings Tuesday: N/A Wednesday: evenings Thursday: daytime/evenings Friday: daytime/evenings Saturday: *daytime/evenings (usually depends on the week)* Sunday: evenings I have an enclosed garden which is a decent size. I also have a very friendly pug/shih tzu cross who would be more than happy to keep your fur-baby company. (I also have a cat who is friendly but pretty much keeps herself to herself). Pets are allowed on the furniture. I’m very vigilant about pet safety.

About: I’ve had experience with a variety of dogs throughout childhood, but have raised labradors from puppies in my adult life. Whilst having the opportunity to be at home through the week, the biggest thing I can offer you is my time and dedication; I love all breeds and no requirement is too small. Please feel free to get in touch, even if just for a chat! My long term plans involve completing my studies to become a mental health practitioner, so I have a lot of home availability and wanted to fill my time with something that I’m really passionate about. I have a fenced garden, security cameras and a friendly Labrador to keep your dog company and entertained! I’m always attentive to making sure Toby is fed, has access to water bowls, and acknowledging communication and signals for their biological needs and play schedules! Very happy to do a meet and greet to see how you, and perhaps most importantly, your dog feels in our environment!

“Today Oscar visited us again, my dogs recognised him immediately and were very happy of seeing him again. This time after walking my 2 boxers together he also helped me to teach them how to use a special stair for the car boot which I have recently purchased. I can tell that the whole experience was very positive. I learn a lot from Oscar every time on how to interact with my dogs, how to create an easy going environment for the future. Visibly he has a wealth of knowledge on training dogs and control them with kindness, calmness and good energy.”

About: Growing up I've always had animals, including dogs, cats. I used to spend a few weeks a year with my family on my uncles farm helping out. I had a black lab cross, but lost him 2 years ago, he was beautiful although a little crazy, but loved long country walks and plenty of cuddles. I regularly look after my mums spaniel, hes very active although has alot of medication. I love having him because it means we can enjoy spending time together with an animal. I worked in a veterinary practise for two years before getting pregnant because animals is a big passion. I was training to be a vet nurse before having my son, Joey. The opportunity to house sit and spend time with your pets means we can enjoy our travel lifestyle whilst pursuing our passion with animals. In the last 10 years we've been all over the world and enjoyed time together with a variety of animals including dogs, cats. I love the fact that we can actually relax in a home environment with your furry family members. Last year we lived in Brazil and rescued a sick dog and 5 abandoned kittens from the streets, we nursed them to health and they became part of the family, which is why it was tough letting them go, but our goal was to find loving new homes for them which we managed to do. I host Air Bnb and stay in mainly Airbnbs at the moment when away, therefore know the responsibility of looking after someone else home, I have also made some great friends through this site. Hello there! My name is Cara. I currently work remotely as an online tutor, but I love languages and art and nature. Working from home, means lots of flexibility and time with your furry family members! I am a big animal lover and have always had them in my life. Although exploring new places means we can't have a furry family member full time, we have looked after dogs, cats. I rescued a dog and 5 kittens from the streets of Brazil when living there last year and successfully re-homed them. We will be sure to update you with lots of pictures. Being outdoors is my favourite hobby and sharing that experience together with an animal is something we thrive on. Looking forward to meeting you and you furry/ or not animal family members soon! Cara and Joey You pets will be welcomed into my home and will enjoy every minute here. Lots of country side in our quiet village and as I work from home, they will have plenty of time with me.
About: I have started my own dog walking business in the last couple of months and I have been loving it!! I love being outdoors and I love dogs so it’s a perfect match for me I currently work part time at another job which is mainly evenings so day times are free for your pets! I can provide the best care they need I am at home all day everyday and work in the evenings when my partner would be around to care for your pets and he loves them more than me!

“What an insightful caring walker Rachel is. We are looking to add a couple of people to the roster of dog walkers close to Brian and Rachel provided a terrific and engaging route for Brian over the hour he spent with her. We hope Brian will spend more time with Rachel over the coming weeks and months.”

Jade is the in-house Canine behaviourist, ensuring that dogs are able to be happy 'just being dogs'. They have chosen to work the 2 different areas as it means that the walkers have their full support and knowledgeable backing, and they can help as many clients as they can. Training = Creating new tricks and increasing behaviours you like Behaviour = Stopping the behaviours you dont like. About: Hi All, I am primarily a dog trainer now, but I also cover last minute walks and visits for all pets. I am experienced and competent with all animals especially dogs, and I have extensive veterinary knowledge as I also rehab wild birds. I use primarily modern reinforcement based techniques in my training and interactions with animals, and I am a great believer in developing relationships based on trust, clarity and fairness. I am firm when needed but very level headed and kind, animal welfare comes first and I'm always armed with good treats! I have a huntaway x collie who is 4, and a rottie x collie foster dog who is 3. They have both been behavioural modification projects for me to work on my training skills and they are both great dogs with a few quirks! They are both dog friendly and suitable for mixing with clients dogs. Pet care is my main business and wildlife rehab takes place around that, mostly in the summer fledgling season. Animals are central to everything! The dogs come first always, their safety and happiness is key. I do try to keep things clean when it comes to paw prints and fur, and I am very vigilant about doors and potential escapes etc. I can be trusted absolutely and I am professional in that I do not pry into my customers lives or talk about them outside of the normal happy dog stuff. I share pictures with you directly and I do post pics on social media but I am pretty sensible, it's mostly just fun dog walks or close ups of cute dogs. I really value being trusted with your pets and homes, so you can always tell me if you don't like social media pics or you have particular worries!

“Mandy agreed to look after our dog with very short notice, we arrange a quick meeting and trusted her straight away. Lovely, warm person who loves animals. Our dog was in very good hands. We got few updates (pics & video) which was much appreciated. Thank you.”

“Shaun and his family looked after my dog so well - he had a wonderful time. They are very caring and they were very happy to walk and play with my dog. I am very grateful and I will certainly be calling on them again. Thank you!”
