Providing their home away from home
Having owned my own dogs and cats I understand the love and care that we want our pets to experience for them to be happy. I am trained in canine first aid and basic training which gives my fur friends full confidence they’ll be well looked after. I work from home once a week so I am available for day and night care during the week, as well as at the weekends. I am focussed on providing happiness and comfort for my guests. My garden is secure with gates and fencing, and it is big enough for them to roam freely. My home is open plan and is spacious. I am happy to have dogs upstairs if that is what they’re used to.

Pip our Border Terrier had a wonderful stay with Laurie. We had a telephone chat before the stay to acquaint ourselves with each other and tell her about Pip. Laurie sent updates with photos, Pip was completely chilled which really helped us settle and see how much fun she was having. It was a real home from home and we felt so confident leaving her with Laurie. Absolutely wonderful! Thank you so much!
Amazing again! Laurie really cares about Elsa, so grateful to have found someone like her to look after our dog!
Laurie was friendly, professional and Elsa seemed to be really happy when we got home! Elsa is infamously grumpy when left for a longer period, and the difference was amazing! We'll absolutely be having Laurie take care of Elsa again in the future. Thanks Laurie!
The service received from Laurie was great. My cat took to her straight away at the Meet & Greet visit and he was happy and attentive when she came to see him on the drop in dates I had booked. Laurie is friendly and professional and I will definitely be booking Laurie again.

A typical day
It’s really important to me that I understand the specific traits of different breeds so that I can shape the time that I have with them according to their best interests. I have worked with dogs that love to play and some that simply want affection. There are some beautiful walks very close to where I live. I will find out what suits the dog best and adapt to what they want, whether that’s a long country walk, throwing a ball for them, or simply a quick walk followed by lots of fuss.
