“Ronnie had an amazing time with Helen and family. He had lots of fun, walks, play and cuddles and really was treated as one of the family 😊 Helen and family were fantastic, reassuring us and sending updates. It was the first time we had used a Day sitting service and I honestly can’t recommend Helen enough, looking forward to Ronnies next visit”

About: I’ve grown up around animals and have always loved caring for them. I’ve had cats since I was young, rescued 3 lovely dogs, worked at a dog daycare in London, and volunteered at dog kennels, so your pets will be in experienced and loving hands 😊 I’ve just moved back from London to be with family and my aim is to do dog walking/sitting full time so my availability is very flexible, I can be free in the week and on weekends. I currently live in a lovely home with my mum, dog and cat with a fenced off garden for your dog to run around, and spaces in the home for your dog to rest and relax! If you need me to come to your home that’s no problem
About: Hello, I’m Karen. Having grown up with dogs, especially varying types of spaniels, my love for them has grown even more into adulthood and I understand that dogs are family. I have a passion for learning and understanding all different types of dogs. I have 40+ years of experience in dog walking and dog care, with a passion for dogs having a happy home. Whether your dog needs extra belly rubs or a patient companion, I am dedicated to providing a safe, loving environment. I believe love is just a tail wag away. Dog people are my people. No matter how long we have our dogs, it's never long enough. My dogs are not pets; my dogs are family. My experience in Pet Care is from having my own dogs and caring for family and friends' dogs over the years. I have plenty of availability to provide love and care for your beloved pet dog. I will take the initiative to slowly build trust with your dog through patient, consistent and compassionate care. I have a secure garden. The garden is surrounded by fencing and hedging, and includes a gate. The garden has a lawn and patio area.

About: As well as many years experience caring for my own dogs at home, I have previously run a dog care business, looking after many dogs of different ages, sizes, breeds and personalities. I have a certificate in Dog Training Essentials, and have even volunteered to look after wildlife abroad. (Not that I can accommodate elephants and cheetahs at home, but you know - I like caring for animals.) I'm a lifelong dog lover and really believe they are our family members to be cherished. Apart from part of my week revolving around school run times, I'm generally at or near home so your dog wouldn't be left alone for too long. I have a small enclosed garden that can be used for toileting and play with my little friendly terrier. Our home is your dog's home.

About: As a teacher, I am naturally patient, reliable and caring, and I bring those same qualities to looking after animals. I absolutely adore pets and treat every animal as if they were my own. I do not have children, so my own dog is very much my baby, and I understand how important it is to find someone you can completely trust with your pet. I have experience caring for both cats and dogs, including looking after neighbours’ pets while they are away on holiday, regularly caring for my parents’ and sister’s pets, and dog walking for elderly neighbours. I am confident with animals of different ages and temperaments and always take the time to make them feel safe, comfortable and loved. What sets me apart is the level of care and attention I give to every pet. I know every animal has their own routine, personality and needs, and I am happy to adapt to what makes them happiest. Whether that is long walks, lots of play and attention, or a calm and gentle approach for older or more nervous pets, I will always provide the same level of care that I would expect for my own dog. I currently have 6 weeks off over the summer holidays. Due to not having children, I can be incredibly flexible with pet care. I take my own dog for 3 walks a day anyway and enjoy physical activity. I have one cavapoo boy dog who absolutely loves company. We have a lovely fenced garden that we will often play in, an endless supply of toys and even a small paddling pool for the summer hotter months.

“Louis was absolutely brilliant. He helped us out with a sit at very short notice and was really friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and you could tell he really loves dogs. Stanley was very happy and we'll definitely be booking again”

About: I have grown up with dogs and pets my whole life and they are welcome in my house. Upstairs too!! Please get in touch if you need my help I have just moved to just outside Shrewsbury and am available to help anytime. I have two children who are boarding school. So I love to keep busy with exercising pets and snuggling on the sofa I live on a farm and have plenty of walking options. Wrekin and haughmond are just around the corner and I have my own dog that I walk daily

“Tracy and Seb managed to fit me in last minute and were so amazing. They welcomed both my dogs and me into their home at drop off and made sure the dogs were comfortable all day especially in the heat. When I picked Missy and Bugs up they both had very waggy tails and could not get enough scratches off them both before we left. Can not wait to book them again.”

About: I've had dogs for the past 8 years and have previously looked after family and friends dogs too as my day job (environmental economist) is 100% remote from home. This means I am always at home with my Golden doodle Briannah and would love to extend our hometo other dogs too either for day care or dog boarding. I enjoy an active life style and live in rural Dorrington within a short walk from an open field and countryside with plenty of opportunities for dogs to exercise on or off the lead. As explained in my bio I work from home so I am typically always in the house during a normal working day. I walk my dog twice a day morning and evening where we go to the nearby field and play fetch or go for a country walk in the surrounding public footpaths. However I can accommodate 3 walks a day if that is what your dog is used to. We have a decent sized fenced garden and I let my dog go out as much as she wants to and I would do the same for yours. If he or she likes company I can set up their dog bed in my study and they can be by my side at all times. As I explained the garden is a good size (around 90m2) and is fenced so there is no way out. I am happy to walk off lead at your recommendation particularly if they like to play fetch but would keep them on the lead otherwise. We have 3 children age ranges 0 to 9 and my older two love to see new dogs and will typically get me to ask if we may pet them whilst we are out and about. As we have a cat dogs who are used to them are preferred. Either way my cat will typically hide at first as she did when we got our dog but with time she learns to trust them.

It was a pleasure for Cagney to spend the day with Kassandra she took time to find out everything she needed to know during the meet and greet and sent photos and written updates during Cagney’s stay I would definitely recommend Kassandra she is a lovely lady who really understands the dogs she takes care of thank you so very much x

Sarah has been the most incredible find. Our 4 month old puppy joined Sarah for daycare for 1 week and we couldn't be more happy. Her love for dogs is so evident, we trust her so much to look after puppy just as we would and love the regular pupdates and photos we get as to what puppy has been up to that day. Thank you so much Sarah - we can't wait to book again! From Emily, Hannah (and Harper 🐾) xxx

Julie looked after Buddy very well. Had lots of lovely videos showing the great walks and fun he was having not only with her but with the other doggies that were staying there. He was very happy indeed when I picked him up. I would very much recommend Julie to anyone looking for doggy daycare or boarding.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in West Midlands may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
