About: Hi, I'm Helen! My partner, Brandon, and I have been dog parents to our cocker spaniel, Loretta, since 2023 and have loved every minute of it. We both grew up with dogs so we jumped at the first opportunity to adopt one of our own and have loved exploring London with Loretta. We live in a large 3 bedroom flat within a 5 minute walk of Vauxhall Park where we go for walks every day. We also love going to nearby Larkhall Park and Battersea Park so Loretta can run around with other dogs (her favourite activity). We both have hybrid work schedules so can be flexible working from home to make sure one or both of us is always home with the dogs. It would be great to know your dog's specific needs, habits, and things you may be working on with them so we can make sure they have a comfortable, happy stay with us! Additionally, we are happy to meet up ahead of time so Loretta has a chance to meet your pup and we can chat before we look after them. Having trained Loretta through the various puppy stages we are very comfortable with puppies of all ages! She was so attentive and patient, and really went above and beyond to make sure Ricotta felt safe and comfortable. She kept me constantly updated with photos and videos, which really helped put my mind at ease. Ricotta got plenty of walks, love, and attention, and I could tell she was in great hands. Being a student without them isn’t easy, but BorrowMyDoggy has been such a lovely way to stay connected to the dog-filled life I love. “Kanika is an amazing carer who you can trust 100%. I reached out to her 1.5 days before we were due to go on holiday after a friend had last-minute plans and cancelled on us. She met with us right away, and her care, love, warmth and excitement towards being around dogs were already apparent from our first interaction. Throughout the time she (and her great boyfriend who I understand also helped w him) had Rio, she sent constant updates and photos, and took care of him in such an excellent way, going above and beyond in every way - she even bought him a chew toy to play with. She also cooked him chicken when his stomach was upset (even though she is a vegetarian!!). Rio was smitten and had he best time ever, he was searching for her back at our flat shortly after coming home. It is very clear that Kanika loves dogs, and is a truly lovely soul who becomes a friend / parent to them as she takes care of them. We hope to have her in Rio's life in the future as well! About: Dogs have been part of my life for over 20 years, from puppies to seniors, chihuahuas to labradors. They’ve always been family to me, not just pets! Since moving out of my family home, I’ve really missed having a dog around. My partner (who’s just as mad about dogs) and I have the time, space, and attention to make sure your dog feels safe, happy, and genuinely loved, just as if they were our own! I am very flexible with my working patterns, and can choose to work from home most days. I don't spend much time in meetings, which means I can pop out to take your pup to the loo or for a bit of exercise at any time. I live next to my office, and can bring social dogs into work with me, if human interaction is something your dog enjoys. I spend my weekends out and about, walking around London. I enjoy spending time outdoors, and would love a dog to keep me company! I live in a flat with an enclosed balcony and a lift, so can accommodate less mobile dogs. I have green space next to my flat for bathroom breaks, and have lots of experience walking dogs on and off the lead. I believe that dogs deserve to be just as comfortable at home as I am, so am happy with pets on the sofa. I have a clean and safe home, and keep the space free from any hazards. I will only mark myself as 'available' on days where I will be able to watch your pup at all times - no popping out for an hour or two without them! I understand how hard it is to leave your loved one in the care of someone else, so I am more than happy to communicate with you throughout the day, sending pictures and pupdates!
