“Gina's communication was excellent, she also sent pics and replied promptly, putting my mind at ease. Monty my cat got on very well with her and she looked after the house. Will book again. 100 % recommend ”

“Alex was INCREDIBLE! This was our first experience of using Rover and it was perfect, mainly because of the care and attention Alex gave to Charlie. She went through everything thoroughly, what he needs were, what his likes, dislikes and the she instinctively knew how to treat him. Prefect communication, we had lots of messages whilst we were away, with lovely pictures! Excellent knowledge of dogs and Charlie's 'Breed' (or non breed as he is a total hotch potch!) Also my house was truly taken care of, prefectly tidy and it felt looked after too! Can't recommend her enough and we have already booked again :)”

“From first moment Thomas was very good in gaining our trust (the humans) and the our babies (our 3 dogs and one cat). He is a great communicator and very diligent in learning what each of the dogs/cat needed. During the sitting, he sent us many photos and reassured us about how well everyone was doing. He was also very good with being interested in how we run the house and looking after the house while he was there. My husband and I were very happy with Thomas and really greatful for finding him to look after our babies. Will use his services in the future for sure.”

About: Hi, I'm Paris! I'm a dedicated and passionate 3rd year vet student studying in Guildford. I'm a huge lover of all animals, but am especially partial to doggies. I like to work with all different types of dog and strive to keep them engaged and entertained whether on walks or at home. Being a vet student has some perks as I've learnt about animal behaviour and welfare as well as how to properly care for your animal. Growing up I've had a variety of animals from fish and guinea pigs to dogs cats and horses many of which have been rescues, so am confident in my ability to deal with different animals with different temperaments. I understand the importance of routine, exercise and companionship, and I strive to create a safe loving environment for every pet I look after. I am also a qualified dog first aider and work as a small animal veterinary hospital so I have hands on experience working with poorly pets and pets with increased needs which reassures you your dog is in safe hands. As part of dog walking services, walks can be from 30 minutes up to an hour and a half dependent on the indivdual dog's needs and as discussed with owner. Off lead walking is dependent on how comfortable the owner is and how developed the dogs recall is, this however will be discussed with the owner. I am also available to do house visits in which I can let out your pooch, feed and provide some company for them. Or pet sit in which I care for them for a prolonged period of time, duties would then be discussed with owner. Whether its feeding, walking, administering medication, or simply offering cuddles I treat every pet as if they were my own. I’m currently working part time across the road from my house so am close by so will have plenty of time to play with your pups etc. I will take them on walks and enrich them or just give them a cuddle if they need it. I like to understand what kind of personalities I’m looking after prior to understand how to best care for the animals
About: I love animals, especially dogs and cats. I enjoy being outside everyday and take my friend's dog Molly for walks everyday. I have looked after Molly for one year now, including sitting, walking, feeding, bathing...I also have two cats, Mia and Milo which I have had since they were kittens. I love how independent and relaxed they are and enjoy them being around while I am working. I am friendly, reliable and punctual. I have a full-time job remotely so have a lot of free time. I am usually free either early mornings or late afternoons everyday. I can take up more responsibilities on my days of which are sometimes weekends and other times days during the week. As long as we agree and plan before hand, I will find a way to accommodate your needs. Sadly, I do not offer care for pets in my home as I already have a dog and two cats. However, in emergencies, I can accommodate.
About: I have an elderly Yorkshire Terrier whom I have cared for since she was a puppy, so I am very experienced in providing consistent, long-term care for a much-loved pet. She is a gentle and affectionate dog who enjoys plenty of attention and companionship, and looking after her has reinforced the importance of patience, routine, and creating a calm, reassuring environment. As she is now blind, I also have hands-on experience supporting a pet with additional and more complex needs. This includes being mindful of her surroundings, maintaining a safe and predictable home environment, and adapting my approach to ensure she remains comfortable and confident. Caring for her has strengthened my ability to be attentive, responsive, and sensitive to subtle changes in behaviour or wellbeing. Overall, this experience means I am very comfortable adapting to the individual needs of different animals, and I am committed to providing thoughtful, reliable care tailored to each pet’s specific requirements. I currently work from home full time, which allows me a high level of flexibility in arranging visits to the property. I am available from 6pm each evening and can stay overnight until 6am. I also have greater availability and flexibility over weekends. I will be available for daily check in's to play with your pet. Each pet sitting expereince will be different and I will tailor my care based around your requirements. I will ensure both you and your pets needs are listened to and followed. I will provide updates via whatsapp with photos of your pet whilst you are away.
“Klara was an excellent cat sitter for our needy girls. She stayed overnight with them and was able to put my anxiety at ease throughout our trip away. She sent us plenty of photos, kept our flat clean and tidy, gave required medications to one of our cats and managed several toilet issues with our other cat, without complaint! ”

“An excellent experience. Grace was friendly and communicative right from start. We had a meet and greet, lots of messages and a FaceTime call before the sit happened. We received daily updates with pictures whilst away. The house was spotless when we arrived home and most importantly our dog was happy and settled. We have already booked more dates with Grace, we feel our dog and home were in very safe hands. Thank you x”

About: Hi!! I am a local pet owner and lover returning to rover available to dog sit, walk, and drop-ins. I currently live with two biewer terriers at home and love them lots, I’ve also had a range of dogs since I was born (small and large) including jack russels, and blood hounds. I’ve always been around dogs even through university where I walked dogs with the app ‘borrowmydoggy’ and boarded dogs with rover. I dog sit on occasion but would love to to expand my range and am excited to spend some time looking after your pup/s! I am very flexible with time so please let me know if there is a time or day you might want or need that’s not on the calendar and I can see if I’m free. I’m currently working flexibly and looking for a full time job so I have lots of spare time to look after dogs during the week days. I will of keep an eye on the dog/s ensuring they are not up to mischief. If needed we can go and let out some steam or we can sit in a space to nap. I will take the dogs personality into account when looking after each and every one ensuring each are looked after the best they can be. I will also ensure to keep the dogs day to routine if a specific routine is kept at home for comfort and normalcy.

“Olivia was absolutely fantastic and I highly recommend her. Her communication throughout was excellent, she was very flexible around my needs, she did such a great job at dog sitting, and she went above and beyond by doing additional tasks to help me out. Totally awesome all round.”

“Richard is great with my two rescue dogs, Peggy and Winston. They’re still settling in and Winston can be nervous in new situations, but have very quickly settled with Richard. He’s friendly and reliable, and accommodating at short notice. Highly recommended.”

About: I've grown up with dogs and cats and adore them all. I live in Herne Bay with my partner, so we'll both be available to care for your pet! I'm currently studying accounting, and my partner works part-time as a taxi driver and studies personal training, so there'll always be one, if not both, of us available for you and your pet! We live in a flat - while it's without a garden, we're a 2-minute walk from a large park. As for caring for pets in an owner's home, we are both very tidy and respectful.

A 5 minute walk to a big memorial park . I will like to dog sit in new places too . In the country , woods , by the sea . It needs to be nature if possible. “Emily has been wonderful, staying in our house and looking after Angus while we were away for 10 days. We received regular updates of their time together, hanging out, playing and on a variety of different walks. Angus has LOVED their time together and that they both looked so happy made us feel really at ease. Emily looked after our house perfectly and we will definitely ask her to have Angus again when we next go away.”

About: I have always been around dogs, I grew up with many. My family would always dog-sit for friends and family. I wanted to study zoology at university but due to personal issues I no longer will be able to, so I am trying to surround myself with animals! I am not in the right situation to have my own dog, so I would love to be around them and also help out owners! My priority is ensuring the dog is happy. I have just finished my A levels and only work Friday and Saturday evenings. I am hoping to get into a part time job. This means that I would still have plenty of time to go and see my furry friends! I am happy to stay in peoples homes and will cater to my own needs. If allowed, I will get lots of treats for the dogs and a new toy for new customers. Pet owners share their Rover experiences - Herne Bay
Olivia was the perfect dog sitter! She was able to help us out for a last minute booking which was greatly appreciated! The meet and greet went really well, she was kind and polite and the dogs felt comfortable around her. During the stay she was great at communicating with us, and frequently sent pictures and videos of the dogs! We will definitely book her again!

Alex was amazing with our cat. She was happy to be patient as she’s a nervous girl but she took to her right away! We couldn’t believe how well she did with her. Felt very reassured as Alex gave us daily updates and our home was just as we’d left it too when we came back. Our cat is super calm thanks to the cat music Alex found too - would definitely recommend, thank you so much!
Thomas looked after our two dogs for a week. This was the first time we used Rover and had Thomas sit for us. He did a great job. He communicated well, both leading up to the sit and during. He sent us updates and lovely photos. Everything was clean and organised when we came back and I felt very comfortable having him stay with our dogs. I would highly recommend Thomas to anyone looking for a reliable and engage pet sitter. We hope to have Thomas sit for us again in the future.
