“Just picked up my dog Eddie from Edward and what a wonderful couple him and his wife are. Eddie has had a great time he was so well looked after it was the perfect home from home. So much so we have already booked them for our summer holiday. He kept in touch the whole time we were away with photos and videos. I cannot recommend him enough”

“Amazing! Lulu had another lovely stay at Elisa’s. Elisa was also able to assist us enormously with a problem that had developed with Lulu (she had suddenly become scared of walking on our laminated floor!). Problem now nearly fixed thanks to Elisa’s experience and patience.”

“Masie and Beckie said they were very happy with their holiday with Lisa. They had nice walks every day and their photos sent each day. Thanks very much Lisa for all your help. Would well recommend.”
About: I have had dogs for over 23 years with having 3 Springer Spaniels, I have always been kept active. Since taking early retirement I am at home all day with no dogs as ours sadly passed last year. I have all the time and attention to welcome your fur baby into our home. I have a large garden, totally secure and close to the beach, where I love to walk dogs. I know from my own experiences of having our own dogs looked after while away, how much you miss them and need reassurance that they are happy and look after, just like they would be in your own home. I am happy to give medicine if required, I have no other pets or children and a non smoker. I have put that I will accept large dogs however my preference is nothing over 25kg. I am now retired and at home all day. I Live with my husband who is also a dog lover and enjoys dog walks. Your dog will not be left on their own as my husband is happy to look after them while I pop out to the shops. Your dog will get 3 walks a day if required and plenty of play in the garden, I have a large secure garden and live on a quite road, a few minutes from the beach. Having dogs for over 20 years, our home has always been a home for dogs, including cuddles on the sofa. We do not have many visitors or any children at home. If your dog is nervous of new people we would be happy to not have visitors during their stay. I would walk your dog on the lead at all times. Our last springer was a rescue and quite nervous of other dogs, therefore if your dog is nervous you can be reassured that we are use to dealing with this. All our springers have lived a long life, therefore use to dealing with senior dogs. Since retiring I have volunteered at the Dog Trust for 5 years, which has given me more experience with working with different breeds.

“James and Heather were fantastic! Grace loved them and loved her stay there. They sent me updates, photos and videos and I can honestly say I don’t think I’ve seen Grace so happy with a border. I highly recommend them (although I didn’t want to as I want to keep them all for myself!) 🤣”

“Such a lovely person! I feel so comfortable leaving my beloved dog with Wan Jeung. She has a very calming, positive, and reassuring presence. My dog, Doris, loves her already. Wan Jeung is an exceptionally kind individual. I feel confident entrusting my dog, Doris, to her care due to her calming and reassuring demeanor. Doris has already taken a liking to her.”

“I was looking for a place where my spaniel would feel as if she was at a home from home I had to leave her for a night over the Christmas holiday period. Lizzie and her family fitted the brief perfectly; they were welcoming and relaxed and immediately made me feel that Molly would be fine with them. Lizzie sent me pictures of how she was settling in over the period and set my mind at ease. I wouldn't hesitate in using Lizzie again, or recommending her to anyone I know who has a dog and needs a trustworthy sitter.”

“Ziggy spent a few nights with Meghan and knowing he was so well taken care of really helped me relax on my holiday. Meghan sent photos, videos and updates on how he was doing in the heatwave. He got on really well with her dog and will definitely be back to visit again. Thoroughly recommend Meghan to anyone anxious about leaving their beloved pet with her. 🥰”

“Sophie was absolutely brilliant with Wally! I felt so comfortable leaving him with her and could tell he was really content and well looked after. She kept me updated throughout, which was really reassuring. I wouldn’t hesitate to book Sophie again and would definitely recommend her!”

About: I've always loved dogs and understand that every pet has their own personality and routine. I provide a safe, caring, and reliable service, treating every dog as if they were my own. I'm comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, and breeds, including energetic puppies and older dogs that need a slower pace and extra patience. I'm happy to stick to your dog's normal routine, including feeding schedules, administering oral medication if required, regular walks, playtime, and plenty of attention and affection. Being active means I can provide long walks and engaging exercise for high-energy dogs, while also understanding when a quieter, gentler approach is needed for senior pets. I'm reliable, punctual, and know how important communication is, so I'll keep you updated with messages and photos while you're away for complete peace of mind. My priority is making sure your dog feels happy, comfortable, and well cared for, so you can relax knowing they're in safe hands. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I enjoy being active and make time every day for walks, outdoor exercise, and spending time with dogs. This means I can provide regular walks, playtime, feeding, and plenty of attention throughout the day. I understand how important it is to keep pets on their usual routine, so I'm happy to follow your dog's normal schedule, whether that's early morning walks, medication, meal times, or evening cuddles. I have a flexible schedule and always make sure the pets in my care receive the time, attention, and affection they deserve. For me, looking after dogs isn't just a job—it's something I genuinely enjoy, and I treat every dog as if they were part of my own family. Whether I'm caring for your pet in my home or yours, my priority is making sure they feel safe, relaxed, and loved while keeping to their normal routine. I take the time to get to know each dog's personality, feeding schedule, walking routine, and any special requirements before their stay. I provide plenty of exercise, playtime, mental stimulation, and, of course, lots of affection. Fresh water is always available, and I make sure pets have a clean, comfortable place to rest. If I'm caring for your dog in your home, I'll respect your property as if it were my own while maintaining your pet's usual routine to help them feel settled. I'm also happy to administer oral medication if needed, provide regular toilet breaks, and send photo and message updates so you know your pet is happy and well looked after. I understand how much pets mean to their families, so I treat every dog with the same care, patience, and attention I'd give my own.

About: Hi, I’m Michelle — a warm, friendly animal lover based in Canterbury. I live with my German Shorthaired Pointer, Otis, and two cats, Brownie and Peanut, so I’m very used to a busy, happy home with different personalities and energy levels. I’m new to offering dog care through Rover, but I bring years of real‑life experience as a dedicated pet owner. Living with both a high‑energy dog and calm, independent cats has taught me how to create a relaxed, safe environment where animals feel comfortable and understood. My approach is gentle, reliable, and calm. I’m easy to communicate with, and I’ll always make sure you feel updated and reassured while your dog is with me. I currently have plenty of flexibility in my week, which means I can offer reliable support for your pets. I’m available for walks, drop‑ins, and spending quality time with your animals. I live with my GSP and two cats, so I’m used to supporting pets with different needs and personalities. We have a safe, fully walled garden where dogs can relax and explore securely. I’m happy to separate animals when needed, and I can crate dogs safely and kindly — Otis used to be crated, so I’m very familiar with this. I follow your instructions closely and make sure your pets feel comfortable, secure, and well looked after. I enjoy taking dogs on both long, scenic walks and shorter, interesting routes depending on what suits them best.

Every walk is done with love, attention, and care—and we can always tell how happy and relaxed our pup is afterward. Martha goes above and beyond, whether it’s adjusting to our schedule, sending updates, or giving that extra bit of attention when needed. It gives us so much peace of mind knowing our dog is in such good hands. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a kind, trustworthy, and dedicated dog walker!”

“Alex was amazing with our cat. She was happy to be patient as she’s a nervous girl but she took to her right away! We couldn’t believe how well she did with her. Felt very reassured as Alex gave us daily updates and our home was just as we’d left it too when we came back. Our cat is super calm thanks to the cat music Alex found too - would definitely recommend, thank you so much!”

About: I grew up in a household with cats, which gave me early, hands-on experience in understanding their needs, behaviours, and individual temperaments. Over the years, I have cared for a range of cats with different personalities, so I’m confident in creating a calm, safe, and stimulating environment for them. I currently own a Bengal cat, which means I am very familiar with managing a high-energy, intelligent breed that requires regular engagement, play, and attention, as well as plenty of affection. This has strengthened my ability to maintain routines, provide enrichment, and ensure pets remain happy and well-exercised. In addition, I care for an elderly dog who is blind. This has given me valuable experience in supporting animals with medical conditions and additional needs, including being attentive, patient, and consistent in their care. It has also developed my awareness of safety within the home environment and the importance of maintaining a predictable, secure space for animals. Overall, I am a responsible and attentive pet owner, with strong organisational skills, a good understanding of animal behaviour, and a genuine commitment to ensuring the wellbeing and comfort of pets in my care.

“Nina was brilliant looking after our puppy, Roo. She sent lots of photos during the stay and it was clear that Roo had a lovely time staying with her - I’m not sure she wanted to leave! Highly recommend Nina’s services, she looked after her exactly as we’d asked, took great care with her, and was really easy to communicate with before and during the stay.”

“We introduced Doris to Wan jeong because the dog carer who has cared for Doris for the first 6 years of her life has moved on. We did a lot of research, looking for a carer who would be kind, responsible and respectful of Doris's needs. Wan jeung is a warm person who clearly loves dogs. She is working hard to develop a happy relationship with Doris and is very keen to understand Doris's daily routines in order for her to feel safe and happy. We feel that we have made the correct choice placing our precious pup with Wan jeung.”

“Cannot recommend Hepzi enough. She’s been really great looking after our young pup for a couple of days. Super friendly, reliable, and receptive and understanding of the needs of a young dog. Asks all the right questions and is so responsive when messaging and I can tell you she has gone above and beyond in their care of our pup. Hepzi, Pippin is missing you already!!”

“Thank you so much to Owen and family for taking such good care of Pippin. Even after just one meet and greet, Pippin was so happy for her booked visit that she ran straight into the house and immediately made herself at home! After the booking she was very relaxed and content. Would 100% book again.”

About: Hello! I am a caring animal lover with many years of experience looking after friends' and neighbours' dogs in my free time, and my own cats over the years as well. Dogs: I live in Tankerton and am available to take your dog for a big (or short) walk in the neighbourhood / by the seafront or drop in to check in and feed your pup. I also offer doggy day care (just 1 dog at a time, unless the dogs belong to the same family) or an overnight stay if you're away - preferably at your property as me and my partner have a cat (she's ok with calm dogs that don't bark much, but scared of louder dogs). I'm used to looking after small and medium dogs, but if you have a large dog do get in touch as I'm happy to make an exception depending on the breed (eg. I’m comfortable with Golden Retrievers, Labradors, Australian shepherds, Bernese etc). Cats: I have a beautiful Ragdoll x Siberian cross called Morgana, so I'm very experienced with cats. I can do drop in visits to feed & play with your cat, and I can also stay at your place overnight to watch your cat while you're away. If you have any questions, just message me! I have a flexible schedule working from home, so I'm available to walk your dog in the morning/lunchtime/early evening and generally keep company during the day. I listen well when it comes to a furry individual's specific needs and my approach is to let them decide how they want to interact with me. We look forward to be able to look after your beloved family members. Heather is free and at home all week and able to provide the daily care your friend deserves. Daily walk, ATTENTION, food and drink. However, I return from work approximately 6pm (Tuesday-Saturday) when we would then go for an evening walk before dinner and bed. We believe it is important to build trust with your furry friend by joining in with them with the activities they love. The atmosphere within our home is very relaxed. We believe that our furry friends need a strong routine and a loving environment to thrive. We have an array of both physical and mental stimulating toys so they’ll never be bored.

About: I've grown up with dogs and cats and adore them all. I live in Herne Bay with my partner, so we'll both be available to care for your pet! I'm currently studying accounting, and my partner works part-time as a taxi driver and studies personal training, so there'll always be one, if not both, of us available for you and your pet! We live in a flat - while it's without a garden, we're a 2-minute walk from a large park. As for caring for pets in an owner's home, we are both very tidy and respectful.
About: I've taken care of pets throughout childhood (we owned two cats) and have been around dogs for a similar amount of time. My extended family always had dogs, from Jack Russell's and Cockapoos to Labradors. I loved them all and enjoy getting to know their individual personalities. I'm home most of the time, occasionally I have to be away in London. I would be able to travel local to Whitstable / Herne Bay and care for your dog as needed (walks or daycare). Or alternatively I can offer daycare at my home. There is a large garden at the back that dogs love to explore! I'm often in the back patio working so I can keep and eye on them. There are no other pets here so they will have all the space (and attention...) I know a few good walking spots in the local area. If there is a preferred route or grounds you'd like me to take your dog, please let me know.

About: I have been a passionate animal lover since I was a kid, but due to my nomadic lifestyle having my own pet is currently not in the cards. But I would love to help you out however I can by taking care of your pet! Plenty of experience with smaller and medium sized dogs I work from home most days, and got a very flexible work schedule. Got time for several walk during the day and can also take the dog on site visits with the right type of dog I got a medium sized garden, and a car for walks further afield. I would be happy to take the dog for a run as well, if fitness is a priority
About: Caring, experienced sitter who treats your pets like family. I follow their routine and support training to keep them happy, relaxed, and loved while you're away. As a freelance video editor working from home, my schedule is incredibly flexible. I can work from anywhere at any time, which allows me to fully adapt to your pet’s needs. Whether it's popping in for visits, staying overnight, or keeping your furry friend company throughout the day, I can easily adjust my workflow to provide attentive and consistent care, giving you peace of mind while you're away. I’m also quite active, so walking is already part of my daily routine and it’s always better with a four-legged friend by my side. I have experience managing multiple cat-sitting jobs at once and know how to balance my time to ensure each animal gets the attention they deserve. I'm happy to follow your pet's usual schedule and routines to help them feel safe, comfortable, and stress-free in your absence. I'm confident caring for pets with different personalities, ages, and needs, whether they require active playtime or a gentle, quiet presence. Pet care isn’t something I squeeze in. It’s a meaningful part of my lifestyle and something that brings real joy to my day. Whether I’m staying in your home or welcoming your pet into mine, I aim to provide care that is thoughtful, reliable, and tailored to your pet’s comfort. In a pet owner's home, I always respect your space and privacy, using only what is needed and ensuring everything is kept tidy and clean. I take pride in leaving things better than I found them. I follow all instructions carefully, as they help ensure your pet’s routine stays consistent and everyone has peace of mind. I’m happy to offer overnight stays, whether for a single night or several weeks, and have already done this for a number of cat-sitting clients. When pets stay in my own home, they get plenty of walks, playtime, and attention throughout the day. I live in a flat, but I provide regular walks and quick pee breaks as needed to make sure they are comfortable and content. Regardless of the setting, I believe pet care is about more than just feeding and walking. I spend real quality time with each pet, whether that is playtime, brushing, or simply being a calm and reassuring presence so they do not feel lonely. I send daily updates with photos or videos depending on your preference and am always happy to go the extra mile. That might include watering plants, taking out bins, collecting post, or even feeding a friendly hedgehog in your garden.

“Just picked up my dog Eddie from Edward and what a wonderful couple him and his wife are. Eddie has had a great time he was so well looked after it was the perfect home from home.

I'm also happy administering medication, should this ever be necessary. I live inbetween Reculver and Beltinge, with daily access to the calm, green spots that pets love.

“Sophie is a lovely young lady and she was confident around my dog from the moment she met him. I've not used online services such as Rover before so I was a little trepudatious as to whether I had made the right decision but felt as Sophie was local to where I was staying, I would be able to extricate Merlot should I find this kind of service wasn't right for him. I need not have worried, from the start I had reassuring messages from Sophie and my confidence grew in her. From the moment I met Sophie she welcomed Merlot with an open door and arms, she was very keen to listen to all I had to say about Merlot and literally opened her home to him. Her home is clean and inviting and she allowed Merlot the opportunity to check out his environment with no words of caution and no restrictions, which assured me he was going to have a home from home experience and that Sophie was ready to give him the love and care he deserved while in her charge. I had no doubt I could put my trust in Sophie. We experienced difficulty communicating due to the centre of Canterbury having the lousiest WiFi and text connections (I was aware of this years ago and it hasn't really improved) and Sophie was very patient, letting me know she'd not received replies from me. All in all I was reassured Merlot was being well looked after and this enabled me to enjoy and immerse myself in my weekend of singing workshop. On my way home I stopped off to walk Merlot and spoke to a fellow dog owner and gave recommendations for Sophie and Rover's services. I will recommend to family and friends throughout the UK and I would like to thank Sophie so much for enabling me to have such an amazing weekend xxx”

“Dean took great care of our little Daisy, it was her first time at a Pet Sitters and he kept in contact with me sharing photos & reassuring me that she was fine. I will have no hesitation in booking Dean again - thank you Dean & family for taking such good care of her”

“Thomas took great care of our house and our treasured dog for two weeks. Max (the labrador) had lots of fun and exercise and no stress. He loved Thomas. Thomas was kind and sensitive to the dog's needs and feelings as well as strong enough to cope with Max's occasional exuberance when he spots a squirrel! I would highly recommend.”

“I can not praise Hepzibah enough. She looked after our 2 boys brilliantly while me and my now husband got married. We were constantly kept updated with photos of the boys. She collected them and dropped them to use for ease on our wedding day. 100% will be booking again.”
“We were delighted with Nina and Shep was very happy there. She took him for a long walk in Blean Woods and sent us lots of pics. When we arrived to pick him up they were in the garden together. We would be very happy to leave him there again. Highly recommended.”
