Excellent communication and made sure she got in to see Bear even after my partner and I messed up the entry process for her first visit.

About: I have a lovely senior dog of my own, a rescue that I have had for 10 years. I grew up with dogs and cats. I have also worked with horses at a horse riding school. I love animals and I have lots of experience in caring for them. Im a tattooist/creative and I’m currently working on a creative writing project at home so I have a lot of flexibility in terms of work schedule and location. I will be offering caring for your pets in your own home, visits in your own home or walks. I have worked in hospitality for over ten years while I was studying social work, now I’m a social worker but I’m taking time off while I do some writing. I will take care of your home just like I would take care of the venue at my hospitality jobs. I would be happy to keep your pet company while you’re at work or away, I can take them for lots of walks or minimal walks depending on their age, and I can give them lots of cuddles! Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

Danielle was amazing! She was very attentive to detail when taking care of my sweet girl Lola. If she wasn’t sure about something would always send a message to check to ensure Lola was getting what she needed. Very responsible!

About: I've looked after dogs, cats, farm animals and other since I was a teenager (20+ yr experience). I've helped train puppies as well as caring for senior dogs and have had my own beautiful family of dogs ranging from larger dogs to tiny ones. All animals are different, generally the main theme is providing safety, fun, attention and care. I'm currently on a career break (a little over a decade running operations in London start ups) so I have flexible availability. I have a car, spend a lot of time outdoors and am generally quite relaxed. I follow any instruction given to keep both the pet and the home safe and cared for. At my own home, I have two lifts to access the floor (no stairs for senior dogs), windows are up high and kept on a Pendlay lock.

About: I’ve looked after multiple dogs and cats and absolutely love spending time with animals. I’m happy to provide plenty of attention, affection and care, making sure your pets feel comfortable, safe and happy while you’re away. I especially enjoy taking dogs on walks, having lots of cuddles and getting involved in playtime. I have a secure garden, as well as access to a massive secure field, giving dogs plenty of space to run around, explore and burn off some energy. Whether your dog loves long walks, playing, running around or simply curling up for cuddles, I’ll make sure they get plenty of love and attention. 🐶❤️ Your pet’s happiness, safety and wellbeing are my top priorities, and I’ll treat them as if they were my own! I work from home most of the week, apart from Wednesdays when I go into the office. This means I’m able to give your pet plenty of attention and regular toilet breaks throughout the day. I can provide morning and evening walks, as well as playtime, cuddles and lots of company throughout the day. I also have a large, secure field attached to my house, which means I can take dogs out on my lunch break for some extra exercise, running around and exploring. Working from home means your pet won’t be left alone for long periods, and I’m able to fit their care around my daily routine. I’m happy to follow their usual schedule and make sure they get all the exercise, attention and care they need to feel happy and comfortable. Your pet’s safety and wellbeing are my top priorities. I understand how important it is to feel confident that your pet is in safe, caring hands while you’re away. I’ll take the time to understand your pet’s routine, personality and individual needs, and I’ll always follow your instructions carefully. Whether it’s feeding, walks, medication, playtime or simply keeping them company, I’ll make sure they receive the care and attention they’re used to. I have a secure garden and a large secure field attached to my home, giving pets plenty of safe space to enjoy themselves. I’ll always make sure doors, gates and outdoor areas are secure and will never take unnecessary risks with your pet. Most importantly, I’ll treat your pet as if they were my own — with patience, kindness, love and plenty of reassurance. ❤️

About: I have been caring for pets for more than 10 years and grew up with dogs, cats and even tortoises of my own, so animals have always been a big part of my life. More recently, I spent two years house and pet sitting full-time through TrustedHousesitters, caring for dogs with a wide range of personalities, energy levels and routines. During that time, I earned more than 40 five-star reviews from pet owners. What sets me apart is the amount of time and attention I can give each dog. I work remotely from home and keep boarding intentionally small-scale, usually caring for dogs from just one household at a time. This allows me to follow their normal routine closely and help them feel settled, rather than treating their stay like a busy kennel or daycare environment. I am patient, calm and confident following detailed care instructions. With younger dogs, I can reinforce the training and boundaries you already use at home, including toilet routines, lead manners, settling calmly and rewarding positive behaviour. I am not a professional dog trainer, but I understand the importance of consistency, particularly when a puppy or young dog is adjusting to a new environment. I am also comfortable adapting care for older dogs, including gentler or shorter walks, more frequent toilet breaks, medication schedules and plenty of quiet time to rest. I understand that senior dogs can be especially attached to familiar routines, so I will take the time to learn what makes your dog feel safe and comfortable. Above all, I am reliable, organised and communicative. I will treat your dog as an individual, follow your instructions carefully and send regular photographs and updates throughout their stay. I work remotely from home, so pet care fits easily into my normal routine. I can provide regular toilet breaks, company and attention throughout the day, with walks before work, during my lunch break and again in the afternoon or evening, depending on your dog’s usual schedule. I also have a small garden where dogs can enjoy supervised outdoor time and regular toilet breaks. We live just a five-minute walk from beautiful Alexandra Park, which is ideal for daily walks, sniffing and exploring. My working hours are generally earlier in the day, leaving plenty of time for longer walks, play and relaxed time together later on. At weekends, I have more flexibility for longer outings and can adapt my plans around the pets staying with me. I keep boarding small-scale and usually care for pets from one household at a time, so I can follow their normal feeding, walking and sleeping routine as closely as possible. I will always ask how long your pet is comfortable being left alone and make sure their stay suits their individual needs. I aim to create a calm, comfortable environment where every pet can settle at their own pace. I usually care for pets from one household at a time, allowing me to give them plenty of individual attention and maintain a peaceful home. I follow each owner’s instructions carefully, including feeding, walking, medication and sleeping routines. Dogs are supervised in the garden, kept on lead unless otherwise agreed, and never left alone for longer than they are comfortable with. Before a first booking, I arrange a meet and greet so we can discuss your pet’s personality, habits and any health, behavioural or safety needs. I will also ask about recall, reactivity, separation anxiety and how they behave around unfamiliar dogs and people. When caring for pets in their own home, I treat both the animals and the property with respect. I keep to their usual routine, leave the home clean and secure, and send regular photos and updates so owners can feel confident that everything is going well.

About: I’ve always been a massive animal lover. I donate to charities for animals and liked doing volunteer work with animals whilst studying previously. I’ve managed to save and return lost dogs to their owners throughout my experience of volunteering. I like to try and keep things cheap and affordable for families looking to book my services as I know financially life can become stressful! Please do not hesitate to ask for lower prices, I’m willing to accept offers!☺️I’m currently working on a zero hour contract so I have flexibility for your pets. On days of working, I can get up early to ensure your pet has been out for a morning walk and to the toilet. I have a furbo so I can watch your pets whilst at work, and I do 6 hour days at most so your animals will not be left too long. Water and food always put down with plenty of toys! I will set up a cozy corner for your animal to rest, have plenty of treats and calming scents at the ready for any anxious ones! Always happy to have lots of cuddles and walks to let off energy.

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up with chickens horses dogs and cats. I currently have a tabby cat called Milo and a Cockapoo called Buddy, so I’m used to different personalities, energy levels and routines. I’m friendly, reliable and genuinely love spending time with animals, whether that’s long walks, company during the day or keeping pets calm and comfortable while their owners are away. I have completed DBS checks as part of previous employment. I understand the importance of caring for both pets and owners’ homes responsibly, and I always aim to provide a safe, dependable and friendly service. Pet care already fits naturally into my daily routine as I have both a dog and a cat myself. I’m used to regular walks, feeding schedules, playtime and giving pets attention and company throughout the day. I enjoy being outdoors and active, so dog walking is something I genuinely enjoy rather than a chore. I’m flexible during the week and happy to work around pets’ usual routines to help them feel comfortable and settled. I understand how important it is for owners to feel their pets are safe, happy and well cared for while they’re away. I always take time to learn each pet’s routine, personality and any special requirements they may have. In a pet owner’s home, I would respect their space, follow instructions carefully and make sure pets feel calm and comfortable in their familiar environment. I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos for reassurance too. Safety, patience and kindness are always my priority.🐾

About: I’ve cared for dogs from a young age and have five years of personal experience as a proud co-dog owner. I am confident and experienced with a wide variety of breeds — from tiny Chihuahuas and playful French Bulldogs to energetic Whippets and strong Rottweilers. No matter the size or personality, I will truly love and welcome every dog as if they were my own. I currently work full-time; however, since I live on-site I am always around, the little pooch can join me or take some rest! , I have plenty of time and flexibility to spend with your pups. I offer boarding seven days a week at any time. One of the best parts of where I live is the beautiful woodland walk right on our doorstep, as well as acres of open land — perfect for daily walks, playtime, and plenty of exercise. I can’t wait to welcome your dog into a safe, loving, and fun environment. I have a partially secure outdoor area where your dog can safely enjoy some playtime, as well as beautiful woodland surroundings that are perfect for daily walks and adventures. I co-own my own dog — my little princess — who currently lives with her other parent full-time, which means I have plenty of time and attention to give to your furry friends. I’d love the opportunity to spoil your pup and make them feel right at home.

Koah looked after our three cats; Nelson, Florence and Winston whilst we were away. She came in twice a day to feed them and give them a fuss. She did a fantastic job of making sure they were fed and didn't feel like they had been abandoned. Koah kindly sent videos and pictures so we didn't miss them too much. She also went above and beyond by either releasing or disposing of the wildlife that was bought in. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her and she would be my first choice when re-booking a Cat Sitter.

About: I have always had cats or dogs in the household. It doesn’t feel like home without them. I have recently moved and am waiting for a good time before getting another pet. I am missing being around cats and dogs and would love to help out other people who need some support. I have always looked after family/friends animals. I have always been surrounded by animals, and they’ve been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember. Over the past year, I’ve also had the chance to look after other people’s pets, which has been such a rewarding experience. Whether it’s feeding, walking, playing, or simply spending time with them, I truly love caring for animals and making sure they feel happy and loved. I have plenty of time to spend with your little once. I can do most week days after 10. And am available some weekends after 10. I will care for every animal with love, patience, and attention, always making their safety my top priority. I create a warm and secure environment where pets can feel relaxed, happy, and well looked after. Building trust is just as important, I take the time to get to know each animal’s unique personality and needs, ensuring they feel comfortable and cared for at all times. My goal is to provide a safe, trustworthy, and loving space where every pet feels at home.

There are 736 sitters on Rover for Cat Sitting in Hastings. About 90% of Hastings sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter trays. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialisation or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
