“We had a fantastic experience with Rebecca. For four days, she dropped by to check on our cat, Lila, and walk our dog, Mia. Rebecca was incredibly professional, always on time, and communicated well about her visits. We highly recommend Rebecca for anyone needing a reliable and caring pet sitter.”

About: I have had dogs my whole life. I have bought a new house purely to open a dog run and have a paddock to let them off leash and run free. It’s coming soon! I am planning on working with dogs full time once I move to my new property so will have full time availability. This will provide the dogs with a fun place to run free and interact. I am hoping to have the dogs full at my new home and will mostly provide my services from there. Special cases can be discussed.

About: Hi I am Heather. I have cared for dogs of all breeds and sizes since I was little. I am an active individual who has 2 energetic children to play with and entertain your pet. I have carried out doggy boarding in both the UK and Australia and have always had very positive feedback and returning customers. You can enjoy your holiday in confidence knowing your dog is in great care with me and settled as part of my family. I am based at home just outside Kilmarnock. I have a cycle track literally on my doorstep which your dog will love to explore. I also have a large back garden. I have an extensive fenced back garden and my back door is always open for your dog to access at their leisure. I have a laid back approach and let your dog treat my home like their own so I follow any requests which my clients have. Can easily accommodate crates if required.

About: I have been pet sitting professionally for the past 4 years and I recently spent a year travelling around the UK house and pet sitting through the THS App with my partner and our dog. I cared for dogs while their owners were away on holiday, we often looked after chickens and sheep too. I love meeting new furry friends, getting to know their needs and having fun outdoors with them. We are now settled in Ayrshire and hoping to start giving out belly rubs in the local community. I have experience with many breeds, puppies, senior dogs and blind dogs. Your dog will have lots of love and care, we love our walks outdoors and there are plenty of options for locations depending on where your dog loves to go. I have a secure and fenced garden at my home that your dog will have supervised access to for toilet breaks. They will have Ava the Chi for company, myself and my partner. Your dog will never be left alone with another dog unsupervised either indoors or outside. When I sit for pets in your home I will keep to their usual routine, whilst creating a safe and secure environment. Dogs will get plenty of exercise with daily walks and toilet breaks. My chihuahua may come with me depending on your circumstances. She won't come if your pet isn't happy with it and this can be discussed before hand.

“Emma is an angel! She has taken my 2 furbabies for a few walks now and they are already firm friends, as I have a broken ankle she has gone above and beyond making sure they get their exercise, happy dogs and tired every time they come home!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs from my own to those of friends and family for around 10 years. I love spending time with dogs and have a very gentle nature. I’m currently working less house than I am used to due to a change in career and would love to fill this time doing something I love! Although I am unable to care for dogs in my own home I can confidently follow instructions on how you wish your pet to be cared for in your own home. I have a dog of my own and help care for my grans dog so understand how important routine is.

About: As a 4th-year veterinary medicine student at the University of Glasgow, caring for animals isn’t just what I do—it’s who I am. I’ve managed a cattery, looked after my own beloved dogs and cats, and regularly cared for pets belonging to friends and family. Over the past four years, I’ve gained hands-on experience in various veterinary practices, deepening both my clinical skills and my understanding of what pets truly need to feel safe, loved, and comfortable. Whether it's cuddles, playtime, or medication support, I treat every pet like my own—with patience, compassion, and genuine care. I'm currently off university for the summer, so I'm available most days and times unless I'm on placement. During term time, I'm free most evenings and weekends, except for Wednesdays and Fridays. I provide attentive, loving care tailored to each pet's needs, whether in my home or the owner's. This includes feeding, walks, playtime, and keeping to their routine to ensure they feel safe and comfortable.

About: Hello, my name is Shannon Laird and I am 27 years old. I currently work part time as an Ice Cream Factory Worker but would enjoy nothing more than my free time to be taken up with lots of cute faces and wagging tails! I have been around animals my full life, once having more than 30 animals in my home including dogs, cats, birds, snakes and fish. This has given me heaps of experience like how to teach a dog simple tricks, walking dogs, bathing, puppy toilet training and how to handle animals properly physically and behaviourally. I enjoy long walks in the countryside which any dog is sure to be thrilled with and your pet will never feel alone with me around. I am a happy, cheerful and caring person who wants to give a little back to the animals that help me so much. At my home, I have a 22 month old girl and a 4 year old cat. Your furry friend must be experienced around young children and/or mild tempered/easy-going. My child will be present for the most party during any dog walking and during daycare. I work part time and I am a full time mum to a 22 month old girl. I have time on my days off to care for your pets or walk your pets, my child will be present for the most part during these stays/visits. I have a fenced garden and stair gates in the home. I have lots of space for your furry friend to move around and they will be allowed on the couch to chill and cuddle!

About: I’ve had vizslas for around 20 years now, as a teenager we had one in the family home and when he sadly passed we fostered several and one long term. When I moved out I got my own vizsla puppy and he’s 3.5 now but still my big baby. Arlo was a very challenging puppy and although he is still high energy he’s a very good boy and loves to sleep inbetween walks. Arlo is not a morning person and would happily sleep until lunchtime most days, he needs 1.5-2 hours walks a day and has severe separation anxiety so is never left alone. He absolutely loves toys especially a ball or frisbee on a walk but he’s happy to share and never takes them off another dog. He loves to chase and be chased by his many doggy friends and has never shown any aggressions what so ever. Any time he’s given a telling off by another dog he takes the telling and doesn’t annoy them. I’ve had plenty of other family/friends dogs in our home or theirs and arlo and I both love it! Arlo sleeps in my bed cuddled in under the covers which is ridiculous but doggy guests will have the choice of a double bed in the other room, the sofa or their beds whatever suits them. Ofcourse they are allowed on the sofas and have full access to Arlo’s toys and garden. I work from home full time and as Arlo has separation anxiety he is never left alone. I work full time from home and my shifts vary slightly from 8-4,10-6 and 6-2. I walk Arlo twice per day for around 2 hours total and let him out to run around the garden as often as he likes. Another buddy for him during boarding would not change much for us just another pup to love. I have an open plan living space with a large turfed garden. I live right next to a great off lead walking spot and know all the local dogs who Arlo is of course friends with. I can accommodate needs as requested and although Arlo has full run of the house I can crate visiting dogs if needed. I will monitor the dogs at all times and send regular update pics and videos. I’m happy to have a free meet and greet/home tour prior to any bookings to ensure the dogs get along and are familiar with each other. Guest dogs will be equipped with an Apple air tag during walks for extra safety precautions.

Heather H.
“As soon as Darcey and I entered Heathers home we were made so welcome and met her children who Darcey warmed to instantly. She became friendly with Heathers dog Daisy who is so cute. She ran about the garden, which was beautiful, spotless and well maintained with lots of places to explore. Heather communicated with me throughout Darceys stay as it was her first time away from me so I was anxious as to how she would be. She had settled in perfectly and I was able to enjoy my weekend, knowing that she would be well cared for and treated like their own. I would 100% recommend Heather and her lovely family to anyone looking for a loving, caring and professional home from home environment for their dogs. Darcey had lots of fun and can’t wait to stay again. I can’t thank Heather and family enough.”

Chrissy L.
“We have known Chrissy for nearly 5 years, in which time she has looked after all our animals( cats/dog and rabbits) and even our daughter! She is always very reliable and trustworthy and the animals all love her. She’s the sort of person you can trust with anything and just generally a lovely honest person. She certainly comes highly recommend by us!”

“Couldn’t ask for a better dog sitter than Louise! She looked after our cockapoo who has some special food requirements and she was more than happy to accommodate the many instructions! Our dog absolutely loves her and she took such great care of him that I wouldn’t hesitate to have her look after him again in the future.”

Lucy P.
“I’ve known Lucy for almost 8 years now. Lucy is great with animals, her sister has two dash hounds that she’s always in walking for her sister as she works late being a nurse, her mum has a dog that she takes on regular walks with her own very well trained husky. I Think Lucy would be a great responsible pet caregiver. Lucy is a very outdoorsy person so to be able to take other dogs along on the trip would not only benefit the pets but the owners too. To summarise I think Lucy would be a great addition to the Rover community.”

Aileen C.
“Aileen C cared for our dog and horse for a few days whilst we were at a family wedding. She stayed in our home and found her to be trustworthy, very reliable and neat & tidy. She kept the animals to their normal routine which was very important to us. She sent us some very happy doggy pictures whilst we were away and knew they were in safe hands. Aileen C has a wealth of knowledge and absolutely loves animals, especially dogs, which is obvious from her approach and she was an instant hit with our black labrador when they met. I have no hesitation in highly recommending Aileen C to look after your 4 legged family member.”

Qian W.
“In my opinion, she is incredibly meticulous and considerate, I have never seen such a careful person, will pay attention to the dog's drinking habits, will give the dog nutritionally balanced food ration, will be careful to take the dog out of the house to shop, she is my heart of the dog caretaker is not the best choice.”
