“Rosie had the best time with Elizabeth and most importantly Bailey. She came back exhausted each day from having non stop puppy play and was very excited to go there each morning. Thank you for looking after her!”

“★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Thank you so much for looking after Odie! We were down for a wedding and it was so nice to not have to worry about the dog for the day. Was also lovely to have frequent photos and updates. Would definitely recommend. :-)”

“Yana has provided doggie day care for Henry for two days recently. She provided lots of photos and info about her care for him, walks, meals etc. When I collected him on the first day he was contented and happy and it was clear he was excited to go back again the following day. I can highly recommend Yana. Making arrangements for the care was easy and she provided excellent care for Henry.”

About: I have loved and cared for dogs my entire life and have grown up in a dog loving home. My family has a French Bulldog who is now 12 years old, and I have been closely involved in his care throughout his life from a little pup all the way to a senior dog. I regularly look after him when my family are away, ensuring his daily routines are maintained and that he feels comfortable and well cared for. In addition to this, I frequently care for other family pets while they are on holiday, providing walking, feeding, and general day to day care. I am attentive, patient, and reliable, and I understand how important it is for owners to feel confident that their pets are safe, happy, and cared for as they would be at home. I am available for dog boarding, doggy daycare, dog walking and drop in visits on weekends. I can organise longer stays/visits upon request. For clients that choose dog boarding/dog sitting, I live with my partner who will also be in the house as he works at home full time. I provide a calm, safe, and attentive environment both in my home and in a pet owner’s home. In my home, dogs have plenty of room to relax and I also have a large, fully fenced garden where they can safely play and get fresh air. Outside of my home, I have access to lots of green spaces, which allows me to take dogs on regular walks in quiet surroundings. When caring for pets in an owner’s home, I follow all instructions carefully to maintain their normal routines, including feeding, walking and any specific care needs.

About: Hi! 👋 I love dogs, having trained 3 of my own and helped family and friends train theirs. I know how hard it is to leave your dog with someone else, hoping they will have a good time. 🥺 I got my start volunteering with a family friend who rehabilitated dogs. I specialise in looking after small to medium dogs. I enjoy stick/ball throwing. And have previous experience watching other people’s dogs. I have a medium-sized fenced garden with a big lawn perfect for zoomies! 🐕💨🍃 I would love to provide a comforting, safe and gentle presence for your fluffy baby when you are away, looking after them like they’re one of my own ❤️ 🐾🐕🤗 I have experience with flat faced breeds (such as pugs & frenchies). As well as experience with senior dogs, and dogs that need medications and special diets. I have experience administering vet prescribed medications as pills, powders and using oral syringes. I have house-trained multiple dogs, and raised puppies so am happy to work with dogs that need puppy pads. 💦 I have supported dogs with cancer who need gentle & responsive care. ❤️🩹 Please let me know your doggy’s support needs including any behavioural quirks as I do have 2 very friendly and chill doggies who will be in the house. I work from home and can give your doggy lots of snuggles and attention. We also have plenty of toys for them to play with. My schedule is fairly flexible provided I get advanced notice. I have a medium sized fenced garden with a lawn for zoomies! I have 2 friendly lil puggies who would love to play with your doggy! I also have a crate for small to medium sized dogs and plenty of dog beds if your dog wants alone time.

“Angela was an absolute lifesaver and helped look after Otto with extremely late notice. I would absolutely leave Otto again in a heartbeat, he was absolutely spoilt and had the best time. Angela and husband were amazing from the frequent communication to the love and care they provided. Thank you again Angela, we really appreciate you guys!☺️”

About: 🐾 A Home Away From Home for Your Best Friend! 🐾 Hi! I'm a lifelong dog lover with years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of every age, breed, and personality. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, so I understand that every pup is unique and deserves plenty of love, patience, and individual attention. From energetic puppies learning the ropes to gentle senior dogs needing a little extra care, I'm experienced with it all. I've helped with puppy training, supported older dogs with arthritis and mobility issues, and cared for every stage in between. Whether your dog is full of zoomies or prefers a slower pace, I'll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy during their stay. I've looked after dogs of all shapes and sizes—from tiny Jack Russells right up to gentle giants like Dogues de Bordeaux—so no matter how big or small your four-legged family member is, they'll be welcomed with open arms. Your dog will have plenty of room to make themselves at home in our spacious house, with lots of cosy spots to relax, nap, or simply potter about. Outside, we have a large, secure garden where they can stretch their legs, play, sniff, and soak up the fresh air. We're also surrounded by beautiful countryside, making it the perfect place for exciting adventures, leisurely strolls, and plenty of sniff-filled walkies. Sharing our home is our lovely spayed female Golden Retriever, who absolutely adores other dogs. She's friendly, gentle, and always happy to make new friends—whether that's a game of chase in the garden or simply lounging together after a long walk. I know how important it is to leave your dog with someone you trust, and I'll care for them as if they were one of my own. Whether they're staying for a day, a weekend, or a longer holiday, you can relax knowing they'll receive lots of love, attention, playtime, cuddles (if they enjoy them!), and updates so you can see what they've been getting up to. I can't wait to meet you and your furry friend! I work from home full-time, so caring for dogs fits naturally into my daily routine. My schedule already revolves around my own Golden Retriever, meaning your dog will always have company, attention, and plenty of opportunities for exercise and relaxation throughout the day. Our mornings start with breakfast (our Goldie would never let us forget it!), followed by a long walk through the beautiful nearby woods and countryside. If anyone comes home a little muddy after their adventure, they're more than welcome to enjoy a quick rinse before settling in. While I work, the dogs can relax wherever they're most comfortable, with free access to our spacious, secure garden whenever they fancy a sniff or a potter outside. I take regular breaks throughout the day for playtime, cuddles, toilet breaks, and, of course, the occasional well-earned treat! In the afternoon, we head out for another walk before winding down for the evening. Whether your dog loves exploring, playing, snoozing, or simply being close to people, they'll enjoy a relaxed, home-from-home environment with lots of love, attention, and companionship. Your dog's safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. We have a large, fully secure garden with high fencing, giving dogs plenty of space to run, play, explore, or simply relax in the fresh air whenever they like. I also make sure that any plants within their reach are dog-safe, so you can have complete peace of mind. Sharing our home is our friendly, spayed Golden Retriever, who absolutely loves the company of other dogs. Whether it's a game of zoomies around the garden, exploring together on walks, or curling up for a well-earned nap, she's always delighted to welcome a new furry friend. Inside, our home is spacious, calm, and relaxed, and dogs can settle in wherever they feel most comfortable. Whether your dog is playful and energetic or prefers a peaceful snooze after a walk, they'll have plenty of space to feel safe, loved, and right at home.
“As this was willows first time away from myself I was quite nervous on how she would be however Ella-Marie was fantastic, kept me updated throughout and willow was a really happy pooch 10/10 and will definitely be using Ella’s services again!”

About: I have been looking after animals for most of my life, and would be happy to help with other peoples furry friends. I have a 3 legged cat and a young (ish) friendly dog. I like an active house, and am always happy to go out for extra walks, and will get out in any weather for some fresh air and a run around. I have experience with dogs of all ages and from small to large breed, and am confident and calm with nervous dogs or those who have come from rescue and need a little more special tlc. I can look after your loved furry friend Monday to Friday in the afternoons and evenings in term time with more flexibility in the school holidays. The family pets have the run of the house, and also have an outdoor run to go into when the weather is good. Our dog has a blast out in the woods in the morning before breakfast to work up an appetite and then a walk or run later in the day. We also have a large garden and attached woodland for exploring and to keep active brains busy
“Amy was absolutely amazing with our 8-month-old Golden Retriever, Albert! I reached out only a few days before we needed daycare, and Amy replied immediately and was happy to help. Since I wasn’t sure how Albert would react to new people and other dogs, we even arranged a quick meet-and-greet beforehand, which made me feel really comfortable and reassured. Amy was reliable, flexible, and incredibly easy to communicate with throughout the entire process. She kept me updated during the day with messages and photos, which I really appreciated. Even though Albert is still a puppy and not fully trained yet, she was very patient and welcoming. Her dog Jasper is lovely as well, and the two dogs got along perfectly. It was also really nice to see how much care and attention Albert received during his stay — Amy even took him on a long walk, which he clearly enjoyed a lot. Amy is super friendly, open, and genuinely caring. I would trust her with Albert again anytime and will definitely book with her again.”

“Ava has been fantastic with our Charlie, making him feel at home and settled very quickly. He came home happy which is a sign he enjoyed himself and we hope to use Ava long term! Thank you Ava!”

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in North East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
