“Laina was an excellent caretaker for Cooper. Cooper has lots of anxiety and needs lots of patience which Laina was able to provide. She had great communication the whole time and made me feel comfortable Cooper was cared for. As difficult as Cooper can be to handle she was able to do it. I would happily recommend Laina to anyone who wants their dog cared for properly for their specific needs. She even got Cooper to feel comfortable enough to lick her hand which is not like him with new people. Great communication, great care, ten out of ten experience, by far the best I could’ve hired. Thank you so much Laina!”

“Susan did a wonderful job with our 3 dogs. She gave updates often and even came over the day before to get to know the dogs. She understands the mind of the dog! She really took the time to understand the best strategy in taking care of our dogs. She is down to earth and absolutely lovely. Thank you, Susan!”
“Elizabeth was a great cat and house sitter in her week-long overnight stay. I'll definitely have her back again in the future. She took great care of the cats, was a terrific communicator, and left my place as clean as when she arrived. So happy I found her!”

“Juliann watched our cat and dog while we were away for a long weekend. She did a wonderful job keeping us informed by sending photos and giving us regular updates. Highly recommend her.”

“Stacy was outstanding! Very good communication and took great care of Bailey. She even checked in to make sure my flight was on time, and offered to come back if I was delayed. Left the house immaculate as well.”

“Denisse was wonderful with our three rescue dogs. She stayed the weekend with them and they were well taken care of. We will definitely have Denisse come back again when we need a dog sitter for an overnight or a drop in visit!”

“Michael took great care of our dog and cat for several days. He was very prompt with responding to messages. He also left our place neat and tidy. I would ask for him to sit again.”

“We booked Adaira to stay at our home and care of our two dogs for a 4-night/5-day trip. Everything went very well. Adaira was responsible, a great communicator and easy to trust (she even washed her sheets and towels before she left)! We’ve had a couple of bad experiences in the past with different sitters, so finding someone you can trust and provides peace of mind with your pups is worth every penny. Highly recommended and will book again for future trips!”

“Giuliana was AMAZING! We have never hired through Rover or had a pet sitter we dont know personally. She kept us updated and sent pictures throughout. She took wonderful care of our pups! We will definitely be booking with her again.”

“Emily was a wonderful dog sitter, so attentive and so communicative! She took great care of my dog and my place as well! I really value having updates and ongoing communication when I’m leaving my dog with others (especially someone new) and Emily understood the importance of that. Will definitely book her again! Thanks so much Emily! :)”

“Chloe did an exceptional job watching our Dane. He was dealing with an injury and needed extra attention, a cone and medication and Chloe met all of his needs. This was our first time using Rover and being able to travel with peace of mind that our boy was at home made our trip so much more enjoyable. We came home to a very happy boy and a clean house. We will for sure be using Chloe on future trips and recommend her to any of our friends that have pets.”

“Ana did an absolutely amazing job! I will use her in the future and I would recommend her to anyone. She gave incredible updates and she totally blew me away with her communication and dedication to my animals.”

“Ginger took great care of our 2 dogs and home while we vacationed for spring break. She was very communicative and the dogs were well cared for! Highly recommend Ginger for your pet sitting needs!”

About: I grew up caring for my neighbors’ dogs whenever they were out of town, and I have continued to build hands-on experience with dogs throughout my adult life. Over the past ten years, I have cared for two high-energy pit bulls, which has strengthened my confidence handling active, strong, and playful dogs. I am friendly and comfortable with dogs of all types, and I consider myself a reliable and attentive dog walker. As an Eagle Scout, I value responsibility, trust, and treating both people and animals with respect. I have also trained my current dog, Bowie, through Kabler Dog School, and I strive to follow their best practices when caring for my own dog and any pets I work with. I am currently returning to school, which gives me a flexible weekday schedule for pet care. I have always enjoyed working with dogs and pride myself on maintaining an active lifestyle, making me a great fit for walks, playtime, and attentive care. I am available Monday through Friday for pet sitting, dog walking, and drop-in activity visits. Whether I am caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, their safety, comfort, and wellbeing are always my top priorities. I respect each client’s home, routines, and boundaries, and I make sure to follow any specific instructions for feeding, walks, medications, playtime, and rest. I take time to create a calm, secure environment where pets feel comfortable and cared for. My goal is to provide reliable, attentive care that gives both pets and their owners confidence and peace of mind.

About: My family has owned two dogs and one cat since I have been 7. I have two dogs myself, one 3 and the other 4 years old. I have frequently taken care of cats and dogs for friends, neighbors, relatives, and have worked at a dog daycare/boarding facility for 3 years while getting my education. I can be relied on to walk, feed, medicate, and of course LOVE ON your animals. I am currently a nurse working 3 days a week, but have always loved working with animals. I worked at a dog boarding/daycare facility for 3 years and have gained a lot of experience from it! I am very good at time management and will always follow through with my commitment to you and your animal :) I prefer caring for pets in the owner's home, as I have a couple dogs and would not want to take a chance on them not getting along. I would use a leash for walks unless in an enclosed area or park, would update owner with pictures to ensure trust, would clean up after each pet, and of course offer all the love!
“With this being our first time using Rover, it was a pleasure to have Charlotte watch over Roy while we were out of town. She sent several photos throughout the weekend and I could tell he had a great time when we came home. We’ve had some friends who were nervous to watch Roy since he’s a big Belgian malinois, but Charlotte was wonderful with him. We will definitely be reaching out to have Charlotte watch him in the future!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Twin Brooks
Very, very pleased with our experience hiring Denisse! She cared for our two dogs and stayed over in our home all week while we vacationed. We received pictures and updates daily letting us know that everyone was happy and safe. Our veggies garden did not suffer because Denisse made sure to water when it was needed. Yay!! I very much hope to be able to book again with Denisse in the future.

Claire was great! I felt very comfortable having her stay with my girls. Girls being Addi, dog and Maggie, cat. My home looked like it did when I left. She also watered my potted plants and collected the mail. Girls looked well cared for and content. I would most definitely recommend Claire and plan to use her again.
Olivia was excellent. She took care of my three dogs and they seem to really love her. She gave them all a good walk in my neighborhood which has very steep hills . She was responsive, sent pictures of my pups. She came on Christmas Eve last minute.Definitely will use her again.

Wow! Kayla was responsive, clear, thoughtful, considerate, adaptable, smart, practical, great listener and had great energy. We didn't have a good experience with our first sitter from Rover and we're reluctant to try it again. Kayla not only renewed our faith in Rover but in humanity as a whole. I just can't say enough great things about Kayla. And what a great sense of humor.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Twin Brooks walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Twin Brooks maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Twin Brooks choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 99% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
