About: I’ve been with dogs my whole life. I started taking care of others dogs in the neighborhood when I was 11 and fell in love with it ever since. I’m reliable, consistent and very flexible. I have trained my dog and three other dogs basic training to advanced training. I’m currently working part-time, so I’ll have plenty of time to play with your pups! I am available on weekdays if requested. I can take your pup on a walk or even spend the night with your pup so they sleep good, I would be able to stay at your place to give your paw friend some company! I will make sure they are well behaved. The proper food will be served to your puppy and proper exercise for each dog! I will follow your recommendations and special requests.
“Michael took great care of our dog and cat for several days. He was very prompt with responding to messages. He also left our place neat and tidy. I would ask for him to sit again.”

“My family and I went on vacation for 12 days and we could not leave our pets in a kennel for they have separation anxiety and Laura graciously agreed to stay at our house and watched our dachshund Nina and Ruby our cat. We were very pleased with Laura's work ethic and kindness to our animals. She was very professional, my pets love her, she took good care of the house and very clean, she sent me videos and pictures most everyday and she also answered my text in a reasonable amount of time. I got nothing but good to say about Laura I would highly recommend her; a great human being and fantastic pet sitter.”

“We needed someone to take care of our 8 weeks old puppy who we just brought home. Kiera helped us in a very short notice as my wife had to go for a surgery. She took time to meet us before and discussed all the details. On the day she sent pictures time to time and updated about our puppy's status. It was a great help and our puppy liked her. We will definitely take her help in future. We appreciate all help and highly recommend her.”

“Stacy was our savior for a last minute booking! She was so wonderful with our animals (2 dogs and 1 cat). She took excellent care of them and our house and was great at communicating with us over her stay. We’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

“Adaira was wonderful! She took great care of my fur babies while I was away. I could tell they were well cared for. I will definitely have her watch them again when I travel. Highly recommend!”

“Casey was a great sitter! She was very communicative, and most importantly, our dogs seemed super relaxed when we came home. It was clear she had spent a lot of time with them and made them feel cared for and loved. We will definitely use her again!”

“We cannot recommend Juliann highly enough! She took care of DJ and Tasha in our home for five nights, and our pups were clearly in the best possible hands. Juliann’s communication was outstanding—she kept us updated throughout our trip, which gave us complete peace of mind. More importantly, DJ and Tasha absolutely adored her. She didn’t just care for them; she truly engaged with them, playing and giving them the attention and love they thrive on. The ultimate testament to Juliann’s care? Our dogs seem to genuinely miss her! They were so spoiled and happy during her stay that we think they’re wondering when she’s coming back. We’ll definitely be reaching out to her again for future trips!”

“Denisse is a wonderful, down to earth, gentle person. My two dogs and were well loved and cared for while we were gone. They all seemed happy and healthy upon our return. Would book again!”

About: As a lifelong dog lover, I know how much your pet means to you. With years of hands-on experience and a genuine passion for animals, I’m committed to giving your furry family members the same attentive, loving care I give my own. You can count on me to keep your pet happy, healthy, and safe while you’re away. Since I attend school part-time, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to be available for pet sitting throughout the week. This gives me plenty of time to care for your pet, provide companionship, and shower them with love and attention while you’re away. Your pet’s safety is my top priority. I have a fully fenced-in yard, providing a secure space for your dog to play and relax without worry. My dog Jake is very friendly with people, children, and other dogs. He’ll come over to say hello, then head back to his bed—or ours—where he spends most of his day. You can rest assured that your furry family member will be safe and well-cared for during their stay.

“Thyra was awesome with my dogs! I could tell she spent a lot of time focused on them and she left my house cleaner than she found it. Sent lots of photos/updates too. :)”

“Hannah is always very quick to respond and provides plenty of pupdates. She makes it easy to relax while on trips because we know our dogs and home are well taken care of.”

“Chloe did an amazing job with 5+ animals and our home! Her communication was consistent and everyone was happy and settled when we returned home! Will definitely try to get Chloe whenever we can!”

About: Rescuing dogs — especially puppies — is the most rewarding feeling in life. The most important thing with our furry friends is consistency. If you're stricter with your dog, you need a sitter who'll uphold those rules, not let them slide. I've taken care of dogs and cats for friends and family for years, and I've learned that it's not about what I want — it's about honoring what the owner has built with their pet. I work with the public in my day job, so patience is second nature to me. Pets are no different. They need someone who can read their energy, stay calm, and meet them where they're at. I also love running and playing with animals. Exercise is huge — but I get that a walk isn't always about distance. Sometimes they need to run. Sometimes they need to stop and smell everything. I match their pace, not mine. I don't know if anything really sets me apart from other sitters. I just genuinely want to be there for the furry family member. My availability in inconsistent due to Firefighting but I will always respond as soon as I'm able too. I understand due to my schedule I won't the best sitter for if you need someone daily, but if you need someone to drop-in, walk your dog, or just need a night out, feel free to leave a message. Currently working for a fire department, schedule can be inconsistent. Great for drop in play times and walks. Days off from fire department can be great for unexpected care. Currently unable to have pets in home due to renting rules. Will make sure to confirm and follow all rules with you before accepting the job.
“Constance is a great pet sitter! I really appreciated her sending daily videos, photos, and updates on how our cat and new German Shepherds were doing. It made vacation so much more enjoyable not worrying about the pets. Constance also cleaned and left our house spotless. I will definitely be booking with her again in the future.”

The median cost per night for house sitting in Mountain Home is $57
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Mountain Home
Alyse is the best house/pet sitter we've ever had. She is conscientious and so reliable that while we are vacationing, I don't have a single worry. Olivia is so very precious to me, so having someone such as Alyse to care for her is invaluable. We are so grateful for her stupendous care.

Claire was great! I felt very comfortable having her stay with my girls. Girls being Addi, dog and Maggie, cat. My home looked like it did when I left. She also watered my potted plants and collected the mail. Girls looked well cared for and content. I would most definitely recommend Claire and plan to use her again.
Olivia was excellent. She took care of my three dogs and they seem to really love her. She gave them all a good walk in my neighborhood which has very steep hills . She was responsive, sent pictures of my pups. She came on Christmas Eve last minute.Definitely will use her again.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Mountain Home walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Mountain Home maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Mountain Home choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Mountain Home. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 99% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
