“Ann & Jaren took such great care of my Lottie girl when I was on vacation to NYC! They kept me up to date with lots of pictures; being that this was the first time we were apart for this long, I really appreciated the photos and care she received. She was in great hands and I 100% will be using them in the future! Thanks again 😊”

“These two have been so awesome with my puppy, Maya. Puppies are a handful but they were up for the challenge! I have peace of mind knowing she’s safe, plus getting fed, exercised, and socialized while I’m at work. Maya loves going over there! They have also been flexible with the daycare schedule since I’m adjusting to the demands of a new job which I really appreciate!”

“Kharen was a great dog-sitter for our pup and provided pics throughout the day. Zilly came home happy and exhausted from playing all day. Kharen was also super flexible with us when we had some unexpected traffic that required extending pick up time. We really appreciated her and Zilly loved her! Thanks Kharen 😊”

“My dog has separation anxiety and loved his old doggy daycare back in our old town. I had trouble finding a daycare here when I moved that he liked and that fit with my schedule. We're so lucky we stumbled on Ryan. She has super flexible hours so I can stay late at the office if needed. She has all sorts of animals so Ludo is never lonely. She's also a retired vet tech so she has plenty of experience with all kinds of animals. Ludo barely even notices when I walk out her door to leave him for the day, and that's HUGE.”
“If I could give more than five stars, I would. I travel for work and I am always worried about what to do with my dog Gromit. Keily went way up and beyond what I was expecting. Absolutely perfect experience and I feel very comfortable booking revisits. I highly recommend.”

“Lacie was absolutely wonderful to our Cockapoo, Biscuit. We did day care in her home and she has a house perfectly suited to having animals and a huge fenced yard. She clearly loves animals and I’m so glad I found her. Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“This is a great family and I’m starting to think my dog loves them more than she loves me. They’ve been flexible with my work schedule which has made a huge difference in my life and my pup’s. She always passes out snoring after spending the day over there. Happy puppy! Thank you so much!!!”

About: First and foremost, I absolutely adore animals! Even as a kid, I would only accompany my mother to visit her friends, who had dogs or cats in their home. I appreciate, respect, and can relate to the bond humans have with their pets. They are very much family and there's nothing more satisfying than seeing your fur baby comfortable, relaxed, and content, in our home or yours, while you're away. We only board 2 dogs at a time, to ensure a quiet, calm, and more relaxing stay, and have a large fenced in backyard for playtime. Dogs staying with us must be house trained. We also have a cat, who loves to play with dogs, so to ensure his safety, any dogs boarding with us must be cat friendly. Some of my previous work experience includes 4 years as a veterinary assistant and I'm comfortable with administering medication, if needed. I have dog training experience and have even trained two of our own to become registered therapy dogs. Together, we serve our community by providing pet therapy in shelters for domestic violence victims, assisted living facilities, our local university, in elementary schools, and wherever she's needed. I currently work with German Shepherd Rescue organizations, assessing temperaments/behavior, conducting home visits, and fostering. We live near the airport, which makes it ideal for dropping off and picking up when traveling for work or going on vacation. Several of my clients leave their babies with us when leaving the country. In addition to dog sitting for many friends and family members over the years, I've also taken care of cats, horses, goats, and even iguanas! I can't wait to provide extra love, play time, and affection for your fur baby, too! I work from home and we have one dog and a cat. I closely supervise any dogs that are our guests here and can provide potty breaks as frequently as needed. Any pets staying with us are supervised inside and out. Our yard is large and fenced in, so it's a great place for play sessions. For drop in visits, I customize it to the owner's wishes and dog's needs.

“Rebecca did an awesome job of taking care of our Eevee! She sent pics/video and Eevee had a great time at her house. She also responded to our last minute request for booking and was very accommodating. Highly recommended!”

About: My name is Mac Graf and my husband and I live right outside Hendersonville, NC. I am a certified and licensed athletic trainer and am the Director of Sports Medicine as my full-time job. I work 90% of my job from home, and would love to help take the stress off your work day by allowing your fur family to hangout with me and my family for the day. I take my work seriously whether that be with my patients or with my fur friends. I fostered dogs throughout undergrad to give me more experience and make a change in an animal's life. I ended up adopting one of my foster dogs in 2020 and it was the best decision i've ever made! I rescued another dog in February of 2023, so I have lots of personal dog experience. I understand that having a dog is not just having a pet, but it is another family member. I treat them as such. With my experience as a foster, and being a pet owner myself - I know that I am responsible and loving towards all animals. I would love nothing more than to help take the stress off other dog owners, and help take care of them when needed. Since my job is 90% remote work, I have the flexibility to take my dogs on a walk or play outside in the fenced in area of our home multiple times a day. Throughout the work day they go outside multiple times - usually with a longer walk at the end of my work day. I ask the person I am dog sitting for what they want, and I always accommodate to whatever makes my client feel most comfortable with! We have two baby gates at home, so if we ever need to separate dogs in our home, we have the ability to do so. I always will be respectful of my clients and whatever their wishes are.
About: I've had dogs my whole life and currently have 4 very happy snoops from small to large. I'd love to walk, hike and/or run your dogs to keep them happy.I've cared for puppies and senior dogs and am comfortable with both. Pet care is easy for me since I don't have a regular work schedule. I retired as a Navy contractor and competitive triathlete. I can walk them, let them out and feed them early morning and late evening. We have a large fenced in dog yard and can bring your best friends to our house to run in a safe area, this is especially nice for dogs that don't do well around other dogs.
“Maria has watched my dog Arty several times, and if you ask him, he would give her 10 stars! I can tell he really likes it there by the way he gets so excited when he realizes he’s there for the day! I get several pictures of his play day once a day, and sometimes a cool video. A great way to stay in touch with your pet while he’s away during the day. Maria’s French bulldog Stella is a very intelligent, tolerant dog, and is now Arty’s best friend! I would highly recommend Maria for pet watching in her home and boarding.”

“Julie did a wonderful job watching my two girls at the last minute. She was very responsive and kept me informed with cute pictures throughout the day. My pups came home happy and tired. We’ll definitely use her again!”

“Stephanie was very sweet and patient with my baby and I am so appreciative. She sent me updates throughout the day which I enjoyed. She was accommodating to my hectic schedule.”

The median cost per day for doggy day care in Mountain Home is $35

took great care of our dog on a very short term notice (on a Sunday !). Has a great fenced yard for the dogs and all dogs were happy playing with each other and well supervised. We were traveling and it was truly a miracle to find such loving people who took excellent care of our dog on a short notice. Highly recommended. Five stars +++

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Mountain Home commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
