“Brooke was so good with our pup. She even helped him get potty trained while we were on vacation. She sent us videos, pictures, daily updates and even tips on training our dog. She’s very responsive and trustworthy. We didn’t worry at all and knew our puppy was in great hands! I cannot recommend her enough for your dog sitting needs.”

“Amanda and her family and pets were amazing...Do not look any further! This is our first experience leaving our almost 4 year old Mini Schnauzer, Bella. Bella did amazing and we are so happy with the experience. Thank you Amanda and family. 😇”

“Kaitlin was so great with Charlie. She spent lots of time with her, sent me photos, and truly made Charlie feel right at home. When I picked Charlie up, she was happy and relaxed - no stress at all! I will most definitely leave Charlie with Kaitlin again!”

“We were very happy with Dylan and his care for our dog. He thought of everything and gave us peace of mind. He sent plenty of updates and photos. We will definitely be using them again. I highly recommend!”

“Thankful Gretchen and her family were so accommodating for a last minute board. She was quick to provide pictures and give me updates on my two dogs. Definitely recommend!”

“Emma was fantastic with our pups! She sent us lots of “pupdates” with pics. Took the girls on several walks, on outings to the park and even tried to teach them tricks. She went above and beyond with everything. I couldn’t have asked for a better first time Rover experience.”

“Ashleigh was great with all aspects of our dog's stay. Great communication before and during the stay along with pictures of how our dog was doing. Lucy was comfortable with Ashleigh and her home, and we look forward to using her again!”

“Payten is sweet, easy to work with and she is in a convenient location. Jovie was her normal self the next day rather than needing extra rest, which tells me it was a very good stay. Payten also sent me several pictures that told the story of how she was doing, but did not overwhelm me. I would be happy to use her services again.”

“Mikala was amazing and anytime I need an overnight sitter she is the first person I will call on. My Gypsy was so taken care of over the thanksgiving holiday. I received regular pictures and updates with a smiling puppy with her new friends. A special thanks to Mikala and her husband for helping me with our puppy drop off as I was hospitalized a few hours after our meet and greet and wasn’t able to meet personally. That meant so much to me that these sweet people went out of their way to help me. I would absolutely recommend Mikala for any service with Rover. The apitamy of a puppy mom and no doubt your fur babies will be in good hands with Mikala.”

About: I’ve taken care of pets ever since I was a kid, im really considerate of everyone’s time and need of there own time I can help and do anything you may ask even give the pet medicine if that is what is needed I have 4 cats and they are very well trained and loveable. I also help out around the neighborhood in pet sitting so I pretty much know what you will expect of me and I’ll make sure it happens. “My dogs received the best care from Sabrina. She communicated often and shared fun photos and videos. They loved playing with her dog Dottie and were well cared for. I’d definitely recommend Sabrina to anyone needing a loving dog sitter.”

About: I have taken care of pets for over 33 years ever since getting my first dog at 7 years old. I’ve had dogs of all sizes and shapes including a Lhasa Apso, King Charles Spaniel, Golden Retrievers, Pitbull, Shihpoo, and Heeler/Daschund mix. They’ve ranged in ages from 8 week old puppy to 5 year old rescue when I brought them home and I nursed many through their senior years. Of course I love all pets so I’ve also had Bunnies, Fish, Cats, hermit crabs, frogs, and more. I love them all! Currently in my home I have a 1 year old Shihpoo name Mocha and a 5 year old Heeler/Dauschund mix named Luna. I promise to take care of your fur babies just as if they were mine! I am a single mother with lots of time on my hands to love on pets. I have a daughter in Junior High and a son in High School so I do run them back and forth to their activities but otherwise I’m ready to spend time with the fur babies. I have a fenced in backyard in a quiet neighborhood. I have a couple big trees for shade while pets are playing outdoors and a covered back porch for relaxing.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Turners home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Turners.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Turners sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
