“Kellie was wonderful to work with, was thoughtful and detailed, and took such good care of our dogs and our place! We highly recommend her and will definitely be reaching out again for future dog sitting needs!”

“Corinne took such great care of our dogs! This was a last minute trip and the first time we left our puppy, so we were nervous. Corinne treated our dogs as her own and we were able to leave and enjoy ourselves knowing the dogs were in good hands!”

“Maddison was great with Lexie and Beaux over the Thanksgiving holiday, she treated them like her own, made sure they were luved on and well taken care of, we will definitely use her in the future and our fur kids luv her...It was great to have piece of mind knowing they were ok while we were gone..”

“I cannot recommend Tiffany enough. This was the first time I had left my three dogs overnight since a major life change, so trusting someone with them was a really big deal for me. From the moment Tiffany met them, I could tell they were comfortable with her—even Angel, who is normally very cautious with new people, immediately trusted her. Tiffany was wonderful about communicating with me throughout the stay and sent pictures and updates that let me actually relax knowing my dogs were happy and safe. She followed their routines, gave them plenty of outside time and attention, and treated them like they were her own. They clearly adored her—Hera slept under the covers at her feet, while Buddy and Angel competed for space by her pillow. She also went above and beyond in little ways I never expected. When one of the dogs marked on a blanket, she went to wash it, discovered I had accidentally left laundry in the washer, rewashed everything, started it in the dryer, and even washed their food dishes. Most importantly, I came home to three happy, relaxed dogs who had obviously been loved and well cared for. Finding someone I genuinely trust with my dogs means more to me than I can explain, and Tiffany absolutely earned that trust. I have already arranged future care with her and would recommend her without hesitation.”

“Courtney was amazing! Very response and amazing with our dogs. We felt so comfortable leaving our girls with them. She sent photos and updates and left the house better than she found it. We will absolutely be using them again in the future.”

“Teresa is truly the best pet sitter! She is so attentive to my animals, and sends plenty of updates! My dog can be very temperamental, but she absolutely adores Teresa. I was nervous I was going to get back, and my pets would be disappointed to see me! She left my house even cleaner than she found it. I cannot recommend Teresa enough, and I am so happy I have found someone I can count of to take care of my babies!”

“Samantha was great! So great I have already started recommending her to friends and family. It was a relief to know that our dogs were taken care of and we could relax on our vacation”

“Lilli was super sweet, listened to all our many requests, and our pups loved her! We booked somewhat last minute because of a day trip, and she made us feel very comfortable with leaving our pups in her care. Will book again! Thank you Lilli!”

“This was our first time using Rover and Paige was our sitter while we were out of town. She stayed at our house with our one dog for five days. She did a wonderful job! She worked well with our dog who has some physical and behavioral special needs. She gave us multiple photos and updates every day to let us know how he was doing and had great communication with us. She also followed all of our requests with our dog and kept our home very clean. We will definitely be requesting Paige to be our sitter again and would recommend her to anyone. Thank you Paige!”

“Laura treated our dogs well. She sent us pictures thru ought the weekend which was nice. And they seemed very happy when we got home. Plus she was an excellent house guest by washing the sheets and towels before we got home.”

“Sadie did an amazing job. She took care of our home and dog. Our dog was sick while we were away. Sadie took very good care of her. I would highly reccomend her for pet and house sitting.”

“I’ve had Andrew sit my doggy a couple times now for extended periods of time, and I’m extremely happy with his services! Andrew is quick to respond, and keeps me up to date with Leon while I’m away. I highly recommend!”

“Meryk is such a personable and friendly human, my big dogs took to him almost instantly! He was very accommodating and understanding about the overnight worry - as a good neighbor I know that no one likes a 2 am wake up call warning about the occasional harmless yard invader, so having someone trustworthy just in case this happens-to bring my dogs back into the house- instead of letting them howl all night- is crucial to suburban neighborhood peace. Meryk was responsive, dependable, and honest on his schedule while caring for my much loved and cherished dogs. Will definitely be booking him again! To have that peace of mind while away from home is absolutely invaluable!”

“Jonna not only took great care of my dog (and foster dog), but she was communicative with me all the time. If you’re a dog mom, you get this. I want pictures… I want how well they ate, I want how they slept, all of it. She did all of those things which helps me enjoy my trips away even more. My Foster dog is very afraid of new people and she did all the things needed to help her feel as comfortable as she possibly could… Considering. She is the best!”
“Caroline was very easy to book and communicate with. I booked her as a last minute decision. I had to go out to go out of town with less than 24 hours notice. She agreed to come over and let my dog out and feed her twice daily. Caroline always let me know that she had been there and what happened on each visit. She definitely saved the day, highly recommend!!!”
About: Although I don't have a dog of my own, pets have always been a part of my life! My childhood best friend has two golden retrievers, so growing up we spent countless hours taking them out for playtime and keeping them occupied. My sister adopted an adorable golden doodle two summers ago, and our house is like his second home because of how often he loves to visit. Any of my friends can count on me asking "Where's the dog?" whenever I come over, because I just gravitate to having a furry friend by my side! I specialize in discovering all of your pets' silly quirks that make them unique and working with them from there. I also specialize in working with hyper-active pets, being able to expend their energy in a healthy way and calm them down. I adapt well between large and small animals, handling them each with the proper care/delicacy they need. I have a lot of free time to fill this summer, so my general availability will always be open. I am mainly open to Doggy Day Care, House Sitting, and Dog Walking, but am also interested in Boarding! My daily availability is the most open in the mornings and afternoons, so if you leave home early for a job or a trip I'll be right here to step in. Weekends are also free to Board! I have a large yard with plenty of room for your dog to get out their zoomies! There are also two parks in walking distance from my house, so I have plenty of access to the outdoors. My sister has a mini golden doodle who visits all the time, so I can always set up play dates to give your pet a furry friend. I can administer any medication your dog has need of if I have instructions, and will send as many updates as needed so you know they're in good hands! Relaxation time is always great to have, but I will make sure your pet has a good variation of activities so they are never bored. If I am aware of any triggers your pets has, I will provide a safe environment, whether in your home or mine, so I can always keep them stress-free.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Turners walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Turners maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Turners choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Turners. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
