About: I have loved animals my whole life. I’ve taken care of friend’s, family’s and my own cats and dogs since I was a kid. I’m gentle and patient with all animals and have years of experience with many different cats and dogs. I work part time with a very flexible schedule and mostly from home so I have plenty of time for overnight stays or to check in on a pet multiple times a day! I have a lot of experience dog and cat sitting in others homes and I am very flexible when it comes to working around you and your pets schedules and your house rules.
“Morgan was amazing with our crazy crew. Even the shy difficult ones warmed up to her very quickly. She really went out of her way to take the best possible care of our pets. We’ve already booked her for our next trip!”

About: Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and I’ve cared for pets of all sizes, breeds, and personalities. I’ve owned dogs myself, helped care for neighbors’ pets, and walked friends’ dogs over the years. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I’ll treat yours with the same love, patience, and attention I’d want for my own. I have a flexible schedule, which allows me to be available for walks, drop-ins, daycare, and overnight care throughout the week. I understand pets thrive on consistency, and I’m happy to work with your routine to make sure they feel comfortable, cared for, and loved while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a secure fenced yard and live in a safe south-side neighborhood with plenty of room for walks and playtime. Whether your pet loves to be active or prefers quiet cuddles, I’ll make sure they feel at home and cared for like family.
About: Running a rescue has provided me the unique ability to work with many different types of dogs. It has provided understanding and experince that can put your mind at ease. I have experience with behavioral dogs, and anxious dogs. Currently able to be flexible, since I work part time with a rescue. I can manage your house as needed for your pets! Located in Marshfield I can travel up to 30 miles. In home services provide your pet with security while you’re gone. They do not have to leave and you can be assured they are well taken care of.
“We really could not imagine any better care than Laurelai provides. Our doggo adores her and she takes such great care of him and the house. It’s so wonderful to know our guy is in good hands while we are away. Thanks again!”

“Samantha was great! So great I have already started recommending her to friends and family. It was a relief to know that our dogs were taken care of and we could relax on our vacation”

About: I've cared for dogs since I was a young boy when they would follow me home. I discovered I loved spending time with them. I've cared for a variety of dogs, small to large, pup to senior and dog's with disabilities who need extra TLC. I am able to assess and adjust my attention based on a dog's needs and desires, energetic and playful or gentle and loving. I've spent many hours training my dogs and will follow your instructions and commands to ensure best experience for you and your dog. I look forward to caring for your dog as if he or she was my own. I have lots of time most evenings (Wed-Fri) and all day on Saturday to care, walk and play with your dog(s), giving you time and peace of mind. I currently do not have a dog as my last rescue, Buddy, crossed the rainbow bridge last year. We are waiting for a move to the country before getting another dog and fostering many more. I will walk your animal on leash or use a dog park as you desire. Safety is always top priority. I stay aware of my surroundings and on the look out for potential threats to the dog I'm walking.
About: ~~ I’m the perfect sitter for your anxious, mellow or chill or senior dog as I have a calm and peaceful presence. ~~ What sets me apart is that I work remotely, which allows me to be present with pets throughout the day rather than leaving them alone for long periods. This gives me the flexibility to respond to their needs, routines, and energy levels. I’ve had experience with animals for many years. I previously owned a black lab named Aurora, and I currently have an orange cat of my own. I also regularly help care for my mother’s two dogs — a Maltese Schnauzer and a Golden Retriever — and I’ve looked after my sister’s dog multiple times in the past as well. Animals tend to gravitate toward me because I pay close attention to their body language, boundaries, and personalities. I’m very mindful of their cues and comfort levels, which helps me understand what they need and how they’re feeling. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. I’d be happy to give your pet the attention, care, and companionship they deserve. If I’m housesitting, I’m practically readily available. I work a full-time remote job that will still allow me to be present and handle the tasks needed to care for your pets. I would have time to see them in intervals multiple times a day with no problem and with plenty of time for play. But if drop in visits, I can do 2-3 drop in’s. 1st at 7:30-8:30a, 2nd at 11a-1:30p and 3rd at 4:30p-10p - depending on my work schedule and the daily demand. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I treat the space with the understanding that it is first and foremost your pet’s home and safe environment. I’m very respectful of both the home and the routines that your pet is used to. I keep the environment calm, clean, and consistent so your pet feels comfortable while you’re away. I follow all instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, and house rules. I also avoid loud noise or disruptions and aim to maintain the same peaceful atmosphere your pet is used to. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, relaxed, and cared for, while also treating your home with the same respect I would my own.
About: My 14 year old dachshund passed away last spring. I was unsure of jumping right back in so we fostered. Charlie, my dachshund was not a good social fit for most dogs and we were very limited in taking her or leaving her with anybody. I loved her dearly but she was a total pill! Dottie our new cattle dog mix is just wonderful with other dogs, and because she loves to play...here we are on this site! I do not want the responsibility of more than one dog as an owner but Dottie is such a great host to all dogs in our house I thought why not? I work from home and also have times where I need to be gone but never for more than 3 hours at a time. I will never book if I am too busy to be a good dog parent. That is a promise. I have a flexible schedule that I am in charge of at all times. I always need an appointment prior, it’s hard to say yes in a last minute booking unless I have had the dog prior. I would like to see a complete profile with photos to consider a booking. I am not looking to make this my primary business and only want to cater to the right pets that fit our life. I am not a dog trainer but do love them dearly when they are in my care. A good fit for us is a typical fun loving dog that likes everybody and wants to play and walk. I do believe another good fit would be the super lazy or old pet that just likes to lay around or be petted. I am all about them. They need to be house trained crate trained is a plus. I can’t take any aggressive tendencies toward kids, cats or other dogs. I would also like to avoid dogs that have intense anxiety or tend to be destructive. If our home sounds like a good fit reach out! Our days start early at 6:00am Monday-Friday, the weekends depend on our Schedule. We are also early to bed at 8:00pm so would like to avoid late pick ups but can understand if it’s a late flight or a long drive in a day to get back home. Honestly I have never been a dog sitter to anyone professionally. It's always been a family and friends deal for free or trade. I Have a nice house in an awesome south east Springfield neighborhood, It comes with a wood 6ft privacy fence. I have a 9 year old kid who loves pets as well. We have Felix, a 3 year old male tabby who comes in and out on his own free will at all times of the day. He is indifferent to dogs, doesn't want to hang out with them but not going to bite or attack anybody. He is a good boy. Dottie is our new adopted dog. We got her from care rescue shelter in August 2025 to foster and eventually sealed the deal for keeps. She is a lovely little creature that loves to play and run around the backyard with her other dog buddies. Dottie has a crate and we still use it at times but she is pretty well allowed to roam around. She is crate trained and potty trained. Basically I am pretty easy dog mamma. If they need rest, they get it. If they want to play and run they can. They come in and out when they want. That's how we roll at our house.
“Laura treated our dogs well. She sent us pictures thru ought the weekend which was nice. And they seemed very happy when we got home. Plus she was an excellent house guest by washing the sheets and towels before we got home.”

About: I’m a dedicated animal lover who relocated to Springfield, MO about a year ago, and I’m excited to continue caring for pets in my new community. I previously volunteered with the SPCA, where I gained hands-on experience working with animals of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. I pride myself on being responsible, communicative, and positive—qualities that help both pets and their owners feel comfortable and confident in my care. Whether your pet is high-energy and loves to play or prefers a slower pace, I’m happy to meet their needs. I’m very active and enjoy engaging pets with activities like fetch, walks, and interactive play. Having grown up with multiple dogs and cats, I’m very familiar with daily care routines and animal behavior. I also have experience reinforcing basic commands such as sit, stay, wait, leash walking, roll over, and fetch. In addition, I’m comfortable with bathing and providing routine grooming care based on your pet’s specific needs and breed requirements. Building trust is extremely important to me. I use clear communication and patience to create a strong bond with every pet, ensuring they feel safe, happy, and cared for—just like they would with family. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine because I already lead an active, structured lifestyle. I make time each day for walks, outdoor activity, and maintaining a consistent schedule, which allows me to easily accommodate feeding times, potty breaks, exercise, playtime, and check-ins. I’m flexible throughout the week and can adjust my schedule to meet each pet’s specific needs, whether that means early morning walks, midday visits, evening care, or extra attention for pets who need more companionship and activity. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, so caring for them is something I look forward to rather than simply fitting into my schedule. I tailor my care to each pet’s unique routine, personality, and needs, whether I’m in my home or caring for them in a client’s home. My goal is to keep their environment as comfortable, consistent, and stress-free as possible. In a client’s home, I follow all provided instructions closely—this includes feeding schedules, walks, potty breaks, playtime, medications (if needed), and any specific routines your pet is used to. I also make sure your home is respected and kept clean while you’re away. I provide regular updates, photos, and communication so you always know how your pet is doing. When caring for pets in my home, I create a safe, clean, and pet-friendly environment with plenty of supervision, attention, and affection. I make sure pets get the right balance of exercise, play, and rest based on their energy level and temperament. I’m attentive to behavior, comfort, and any changes so I can respond quickly if needed. No matter the setting, I focus on building trust, maintaining consistency, and making sure every pet feels safe, happy, and well cared for.

About: I’ve had a deep passion for animals since I could remember. I currently live on my families compound farm where animals take up the majority of my day! Dogs in particular have been a very serious part of my life. The last 3 years I have taken dog training seriously and learned the techniques and canine behavior behind almost every breed. There hasn’t been a dog i’ve met that I haven’t loved! Booking with me will provide your dog with proper care but also socialization to goats, cattle, chickens and lots of new smells (all within the safety your dog needs). Im currently a student at a local college during the fall and spring months and work part time during the summer so I have a lot of free time to tend to your animals! FAQs for House Sitting - Northview
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of June 2026, there are 241 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Northview. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Northview walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Northview maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Northview choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Northview. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
