About: Before college, I was the primary caregiver for my family’s dog, Max—handling everything from daily walks and feeding to bathing, training, and playtime tailored to his pace and personality. That hands-on experience taught me how to read a dog’s needs and build trust through consistency and care. I’ve also cared for multiple pets through prior sitting experiences, including three dogs of different sizes and three cats, so I’m comfortable adapting to a variety of temperaments, routines, and energy levels. While in college, I’ve continued growing my experience by volunteering with a local shelter’s Doggy Day Out program, taking dogs on walks, hikes, and special outings to give them enrichment and a break from the shelter environment. These experiences have strengthened my ability to care for pets with patience, attentiveness, and genuine enthusiasm. I am currently a student at UNM and working part time, so my evenings are relatively free during the week. Friday afternoons - Sunday mornings are the best time for me to hangout with your pet and care for them full time. Your pet’s happiness, safety, and comfort will always be my top priority. I’ll make sure they get plenty of exercise, affection, and attention—whether that means long walks, playtime, or just lots of love and cuddles. If you choose house sitting, your pet won’t just be cared for—they’ll have a constant companion who keeps their routine consistent and stress-free. I also love taking pets on little adventures, like trips to nearby parks, to keep them engaged and happy. Our dogs were obsessed with Hoss from the first moment, and I have no doubt our precious ones felt safe and cared for the entire time. On top of looking after two finicky pups (one is elderly and requires medication, one is shy and stubborn, and they are both bratty), they took great care of our home and made sure to send us updates, even going out of their way to hand feed our little girl her kibbles when she went on hunger strike because of our absence. Hoss is attentive and understanding, a true animal lover. And to top it all off they have a great personality, radiating kindness and fun energy. We would be lucky to have them sit for us again. 10/10 highly recommend.”

About: I have been caring for dogs and cats my entire life and enjoy their company. I had two Labradors and four cats sharing my home, who have since gone over the Rainbow Bridge. My sister has a middle-aged rescue brindle, a two-year-old calico cat, and a Retriever puppy that I assist caring for which fills that furry gap. My diversity in caring for old and young dogs is extensive along with varieties of dogs from Labradors to Pittbull-mixes to Bassett Hounds. I love how pets fill our hearts with love and affection and I enjoy being with them, caring and playing with them. Being retired I can spend as much time as needed to care for your fur babies. My versatile schedule allows me availability to be with them whenever needed to let them out, play, feed and check on them. I look forward to meeting them, and you. I have done house and pet sitting for many years bringing experience and attention to every home and pet I meet. One of my goals is to bring comfort when you are away knowing your home and pets are well cared for. My first priority is to be mindful of the location of each dog and cat while there. Safety is most important, being aware of closed doors and gates to avoid any mishaps and alert to anything on the floor or within reach that could be ingested. Every pet has their unique habits and I am careful to learn those from you and them and focus on their needs. I enjoy giving people that comfort knowing their fur babies and their home are in good hands.

“Aarti was amazing! Very knowledgeable and receptive. With her background in vet med, this eased my worries. She was attentive and loving to our two crazy, high energy, wack job Cattle Dogs. She made effort to expend energy safely going out at times when the NM heat wasn't too unbearable for them. She expressed love and concern for our dog's safety and happiness. She had an amazing idea to come to our home when we were getting ready to leave to assist our babies in their transition period. She sent cute pictures regularly and was phenomenal with her communication. I'm typically a super anxious worrywart but I found myself relaxing and enjoying my vacation because she put my mind at such ease. I will be booking her anytime we leave town! She's one in a million!”

About: Hi, I’m Avery (Julie)! At the moment I do not have any pets of my own…yet keep dog treats in my mailbox for passers by. I have had dogs and cats in my life since I can remember. I have had 5 dogs at a time, and know how to lead, and listen. Highly intuitive and super happy person who genuinely cares about connection with animals. I am a communicative person and can definitely assist in helping with your pets - keeping you informed of their well being. Currently I am available on week nights after 4pm, and weekends, yet I retire very soon so will have time to attend during the week days. My home is very comfortable and there is enough space for pets to have room to explore. I have a fenced front and back yard. I also have a cooled sunroom that will also be available for summer or windy days.
