Hi, I’m Melissa. I’m a good fit for pet parents who want more than “someone to stop by.” I care about the small things: the gate latched, the meds given correctly, the water bowls full, the litter box clean, the house secure, and your pet acting like themselves when you get home. I’ve cared for animals for 20 years and have experience with dogs and cats of all sizes and ages, including puppies, seniors, anxious pets, shy cats, pets with health routines, and multi-pet homes. I’m also comfortable with small animals, reptiles, horses, and light farm animal care when we’ve talked through the details in advance. My style is calm and routine based. I pay attention to appetite, bathroom habits, energy, body language, stress, heat, and the little changes that can matter with older pets or pets who don’t feel great. I can give oral medication and I’m happy to follow detailed feeding, walking, brushing, crate, litter, and bedtime instructions. I’d rather ask a careful question than guess. I’m also very respectful of your home. When I house sit, I treat it like a responsibility, not a crash pad. I keep things clean, follow your rules, bring in packages or mail if requested, and leave the house the way I found it. My clients often book me for senior dogs, anxious dogs, cats who need patience, and pets who are happier staying in their own space instead of boarding. You’ll get photo updates and clear notes so you can relax while you’re away. For multi-pet households, limited care needs, or repeat clients, message me with the details and I’ll help set up the booking correctly through Rover.

Melissa was great with our senior dog Kaptain who requires some extra care. She made sure he got plenty of outdoor time, walks, and attention. Came home to very relaxed dog and a clean house!
Melissa went above & beyond with my Rori! She is so caring, loving, understanding, & flexible with scheduling.. and was so accommodating to my crazy schedule. Her communication is incredible & she kept me well informed of how Rori was doing. She even got my pup to play & I love it when she plays - I know she was happy & very comfortable with her. They went on lots of walks & she was very attentive to Rori's wants & needs. Thank you so much Melissa! We can't wait to book with her again!
Melissa saved the day for us. She accepted a last minute booking over the holidays when our plans abruptly changed. She took excellent care of our elderly dog with health problems and our second anxious dog . She left the house clean and her communication was exceptional. She understood our dogs’ needs and worked with them. Highly recommend!
