Amy is amazing! Our little dog Henry instantly bonded with her. She was quick to respond to any questions we had and even came to meet Henry ahead of time. We felt confident and secure leaving our little guy with her.

Autumn is one of the best dog sitters I’ve ever booked! She was very communicative, handled each dog perfectly despite their individual quirks and overall made me feel so much better about going on vacation! I absolutely recommend Autumn to look after and love your animals!

This was my first experience with Lisa and she was wonderful! We set up a meet and greet many months ago and she and Buster hit it off right away. A few weeks before the trip, she reached out again to remind her of where to find stuff and remind Buster of who she was, and again went great. My dog can be a pill especially when walking, he is very reactive to cars and some dogs on walks, so I suggested that she not walk him, so she isn't hurt. She messaged me saying Buster was ancy and asked if she could take him for a short walk and that she had experience walking reactive dogs before, so I said, Go for it! She reported back things went well and I agreed she can go ahead and walk him, which I'm sure really helped him a lot. (My last dog sitter was a friend who really wasn't that experienced with dogs and very petite, so it was just better to not go). After the successful walks, she asked if she could take him with her on some errands, and I said sure, but warned her he will bark at anything that moves so can be a pain. She went ahead and said it went well. From there she continued the walks and took him to the beach too, which he loves! Both my dog and my house were in perfect condition when I returned. I very much appreciated the attention and care she provided for my dog, and that she asked permission before going against my instruction. She also sent daily photos of their adventures and snuggles. I would absolutely recommend Lisa and am very happy to have someone I can trust for future needs. Thank you Lisa!!!

Cara did an amazing job house sitting our 2 huskies for a week. She provided lots of pictures of them at play and made sure they had plenty of exercise. They were clearly at ease with her as they didn't do their normal hunger strike. I'm pretty sure she left our house nicer than we left it. Cara is at the top of our list for rebooking.

About: I will start off with saying, I am insured with PCI! I’ve had dogs my whole life, I have 5 at the moment. 2 cats, a (Yearling), tortoise, frog many animals. I have experience with plenty of animals. I have animal sat for multiple families and friends and they have loved me! I work fulltime but can make time for your babies. I treat your babies like mine. I make sure they get the love and care they need. I slowly introduce myself, if you need your dog crated I can do that. If all we need to do for your pet is we meet a few times before petsitting that is okay, or if you need me to bring my dog so your dog can meet mine. Whatever helps with your animal to feel comfortable and safe.

Alisha is the real deal. We came home to a spotless house, happy pets, and zero stress. Which, if you knew our crew, is saying something. We have a senior dog on seizure medication, three cats, a duck, five chickens, and fish. Alisha handled all of it without missing a beat. She sent photos throughout the stay, responded quickly every time we reached out, and brought such positive energy to everything. Our dog Seca, who can be particular, clearly loved her. The chickens were tucked in every night. The house actually looked better than when we left. If you want someone who treats your home and animals like they're her own, book Alisha. We already plan to. Highest possible recommendation.

About: I’m new to Rover! I love animals! Theres a dulplicated review glitch on my profile so if anyone can give me a chance to care for your little ones I’d be grateful. I grew up surrounded by family pets. Whenever my parents went out for vacations I would stay at their house to spend time and care for their pets. From walks to feeding and quality time snuggles; I've been blessed to care for and love the beautiful creatures we've been graced to be in companionship with. I don't have any special training, but I love animals and will treat your family with as much care as I would treat my own. I can't wait to meet and care for your animals as well! I'm currently looking for work so I'm very free at the moment. I've loved animals since I was very young so if I could get more into pet care I'd love that. I don't have a place of my own to take care of pets. However, I have taken care of pets in other houses quite often over the years. Your house is your safe place. As someone who is introverted, I know how important a safe place is. With that in mind, I will treat your home with same respect and sanctity that I treat my own if I visit to care for your little ones. Any rules and/or guidelines for your property, I will follow to the best of my abilities to ensure you come back to the same, if not better home than you left from. With regard to your pets at home, you can tell me freely what things there are to keep in mind. The more I know about your pet, the better quality of service I can provide you and your pet with. I am open to discussions about home care options as well, if that is something you are looking for. (Things like yard care, cleaning, etc.)

Michael was fantastic!! We were on vacation for about ten days and I feel like we never had to worry the whole time and could enjoy our time away. Michael provided ample exercise and individual attention to our energetic and highly anxious pup and also gave our cat tons of playtime and cuddles. Our place was spotless when we came home! Would 100% recommend.

Jordan was excellent. I only adopted Oso the day prior but was called in to work. She met with Oso that day to ensure the two were a match. She responded with very short notice to dog sit within my home overnight. Her communication was perfect and she updated me often with how Oso was doing, what they were up to, and with multiple photos showing a very happy rescue.

My fiancé and I couldn’t be happier with Anna and the care she took of our sweet girl (A 4 year old pit bull). We knew when we adopted our dog, that she loved people but didn’t do well in a shelter environment or around other dogs. This has made leaving town a challenge due to limited options as we couldn’t board her or drop her at my parents’ house with our family dogs, as her well-being comes first. When I found Anna’s profile, she seemed too good to be true but she is real! She is the reason I signed up for Rover. She took excellent care of our girl and our home for 5 days while we were on vacation. It made such a difference knowing our dog could be comfortable and cared for in her own home with someone who is great with dogs. Our pup has some anxiety and quirks so we wanted someone caring and experienced — Anna is that person. Thank you, Anna. We all three hope to see you again soon.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Trikkala on Rover is $29.96 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of September 2026, there are 7,670 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Trikkala. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Trikkala walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Trikkala maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Trikkala choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Trikkala. On Rover:

  • 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
