About: The first time I cared for cats was when a family friend went out of town when I was seven. I fell in love, and getting to spend time caring for cats while doing homework became my favorite gig as a teenager. I've had my own cat for close to four years, now. We originally adopted two rescues, but sadly our Pip-Boy had a terrible injury when he was found and it continued to cause him recurring problems until we finally made the impossible decision to put him down just one month before our first child was born in 2024. (I like to say he had to go when he did so he could give her last minute instructions for life.) In the last six months of his life we had medicine to administer that we got VERY good at giving him despite his vetrile hatred of said medicine. I'm comfortable giving medicine orally, including medicine that needs to stay in the cats mouth, and finding creative ways to hide it in food and water. I am also open to learning how to give injected medicine if you're willing to teach me. I love both playing with cats who enjoy that kind of human interaction and pretending not to pay any attention to those who prefer to exist in an alternate dimension. 😁

About: Dogs have always been an important part of my life. From a young age, my parents taught me how to raise, train, and care for dogs, including training wilderness search & rescue dogs. I currently care for 4 different family's pets throughout the year and have rarely come into a scheduling conflict. I like to give people the freedom they need in their life while not having to worry about their pet's needs. I do not currently have the space to care for other people's pets in my home but am willing to stay in their home overnight to accommodate their needs. I like to have the pet owners make a list of things I should know about their pets. This could be special needs, dos and don'ts, typical schedule for feeding, bedtime, etc., pet's favorite spot to lay or toy to play with. That way the pet(s) can stay closer to what they know for lower stress.

About: I have taken care of many animals including dogs, cats, horses, chickens, goats, and fish. Family and friends have trusted me since I was 8. I have taken care of seniors and puppies and am working towards my training certification Im working part time but hoping to make this full time. Im available to be with the animals all days on my days off. And willing to do as much as I am capable of I am able to do what ever your needing me to do including medications. “Katryna was awesome! She just watched our 7 month old puppy Myla, a rescue from Mexico who we've only had for 2 months. This was Myla's first time away from us, so we were definitely nervous and anxious about it. Katryna was super patient and handled a presumably pretty loud/intense barking session right after we left and calmed her down after about 15 mins. They got along thick as thieves after that! Katryna was great about adhering to our care instructions (Myla is on special food and also super active) and she wasn't shy about asking clarifying Q's and double checking things with us while we were gone. We really appreciated that level of communication and could tell her attentiveness/attention to detail was on point. Would definitely use her again!”
