Note: I now have a toddler and a newborn so please be aware I will be bringing them with me to jobs. My toddler is extremely loving and gentle with animals and responds immediately when told to leave an animal alone. Additionally, please be aware that I am recovering from several years of physical disability. I'm doing MUCH better but still get winded easily, so I can take your dog on a gentle walk but not a run. -------- I come from a family of pet lovers: my mom raised guide dogs for the blind before she had a family, and ever since I was a baby I've been around animals of all kinds. My first pet care job was caring for a friend's cats when I was a tender 6-years-old! Since then, I have cared for numerous horses, cats, dogs, birds, fish, poultry, reptiles (including snakes!), emu, donkey, goats, rabbits.... You name it! My strongest experience lies with domestic dogs and cats. Starting at age 17 I helped a neighbor raise and train two rescue pups from the middle east, which presented a very unique set of challenges. My most recent experience consisted of house/dog sitting for a shy cat and two sweet doggos who needed regular medication. I am very involved with each pet, taking time to learn their unique personality. I make a point of focusing on the loved pet I am with at the time, with physical play and mental stimulation a huge part of my time — even older pups just need patience, encouragement, and a gentler style of play!
