Active, friendly, patient, fun!
Note: I now have a toddler and an infant so please be aware I will be bringing them with me to jobs. My toddler is extremely loving and gentle with animals and responds immediately when told to leave an animal alone. Additionally, please be aware that I am recovering from several years of physical disability. I'm doing MUCH better but still get winded easily, so I can play fetch or take your dog on a gentle walk but not a run. -------- I come from a family of pet lovers: my mom raised guide dogs for the blind before she had a family, and ever since I was a baby I've been around animals of all kinds. My first pet care job was caring for a friend's cats when I was a tender 6-years-old! Since then, I have cared for numerous horses, cats, dogs, birds, fish, poultry, reptiles (including snakes!), emu, donkey, goats, rabbits.... You name it! My strongest experience lies with domestic dogs and cats. Starting at age 17 I helped a neighbor raise two rescue pups whose mama was a feral dog from the middle east, which presented a very unique set of challenges: and, more recently, two other sweet doggos who needed regular medication. I've also had experience with giving cats medicine from caring for my own cats. I am very involved with each pet, taking time to learn their unique personality. I make a point of focusing on the loved pet I am with at the time, with physical play and mental stimulation a huge part of my time — even older pups just need patience, encouragement, and a gentler style of play!

I have 10 total years of experience sitting both indoor and outdoor pets, helping continue and enforce training, administering medication in a variety of ways, and encouraging the unenthused to move and exercise. When you book me I will ask a series of questions to help best understand how I can help you and your pet in the specific situation YOU are in! Pets aren't one size fits all and neither are my services. :)

Amber and her family did a wonderful job with my baby Toby. They communicated regularly and sent me pictures and videos which I appreciated more than I can say. The house looked great and everything was as it should be or better! They were respectful of my home and property but most important Toby was very well taken care of. My biggest worry was that Toby would be upset and not eat the first couple of days which he has done in the past but with Amber and family he ate everything everyday and was very excited to see me but not the crazy excitement that I've experienced with him when I returned before. That tells me he was content and happy while I was gone. I highly recommend Amber and will use her for any future dog and or house sitting. Very grateful!
Amber did a wonderful job of taking care of our dogs and house! We will definitely use her services again! Our dogs were happy and our house was clean when we got home. :)
Amber cared for our two rescue puppies, Albus and Sisko. They are unique having been raised by a rescued feral mother from Kuwait. They needed special care and patience to establish trust. They love Amber. She was especially kind and patient. She would sing to them as she approached the house which calmed them. Her love for animals and great communication skills are exceptional. Highly recommend Amber!
Hi, I have had Amber watch our two dogs for a full week and she did exceptional! She house sat as well as dog sat and was very responsible. She kept them company and walked them In our neighborhood and to the beach. My family and I were able to get away and enjoy quality time without worry which elevated the quality or our vacation! I highly recommend her, she is caring and reliable.

Schedule
As of Summer 2026 I am currently available pretty much any time! My only limitation is not having a car while my husband is at work during the day but I'm also able to use the bus when needed.
