Alexis is a wonderful dog sitter. She is responsive and understanding of my dogs individual needs. He's an older boy and appreciates a good lap or couch for requent relaxation and Alexis is willing to provide that. This was our second time at doggy day care with Alexis and he rushed out of the car to visit her again!

Our pup Avocado had a blast with Beth’s three dogs, each of whom was an excellent host. Beth was responsive and caring, and exceptionally kind and understanding when Avocado had tummy issues due to the fact that he (unbeknownst to us at the time) ate some food that disagreed with him before we dropped him off.

I feel like Courtney isn't just the best dog sitter, she's one of the best humans. She was so welcoming and understanding of my not completely house trained pup, and she's almost like a trainer as well as sitter. She's worked on crate training and commands with my pup, even letting me borrow things to help at home. Five other sitters denied my request to watch a puppy, but Courtney is the ultimate dog lover, and honestly has more patience than anyone I've ever met. My only concern is that my pup loves being at her house maybe more than mine, since Courtney's dogs are her new best friends! I can't recommend her highly enough, except I'll be sad if she ever ends up booked when I need her. I couldn't imagine using anyone else.

About: Raised with the help of two Doberman “nannies,” in the home of a veterinarian. I was brought up in a home from tigers to monkeys and have a natural pull towards caring for all animals. Hi, I’m Raisa. I’ve lived with and cared for Dobermans, Dachshunds, Labradors, Australian Shepherds, Mixed Breeds, and now a senior Siberian Husky who adores other animals. I’ve raised puppies, supported seniors, and learned how to read a dog’s communication style quickly and intuitively. What sets me apart is the combination of: 🐾 A lifetime of hands‑on experience, including a course in Canine Science 🌿 A calm, confident presence 🎯 An ability to understand each dog’s unique personality and needs 🏡 A home environment that’s warm, structured, animal‑savvy and has a LARGE FENCED YARD Your pup will feel so understood and cared for, they’ll think of my home as their second home. I work from home full time so I will always be around hanging out with your pups from 8am-5pm and the evenings. Scroll down to "A Typical Day" to view their daily routine. I have a large fenced in yard and a very friendly female Siberian Husky who respects and loves fur babies of all sizes. Since our yard is large, we can accommodate multiple dogs at once if you have a large family. My pup is vaccinated and up-to date with flea, tick and heart worm meds. ATTENTION: No Indoor Marking Policy I cannot host dogs who mark indoors. Even small amounts of marking can damage flooring and trigger other dogs to do the same. If marking or repeated accidents occur, I will contact you for early pickup. Thank you for understanding and helping me maintain a safe, happy space for your pups.

We were traveling on Road Trip with our dog and two boys. We wanted to see Niagara Falls but knew that our hotel wouldn’t let us keep our dog in the room unattended. We had Reilly stay with Mary for the day while we took in the sights. Reilly had a great time with Mary and her dogs. THANK YOU!!

Akeira was such a responsible and kind dogsitter. She kept me updated regularly, which made a big difference. Her dog, Eleanor, is wonderfully gentle and got along so well with my pups. Akeira really put care and attention into making sure they were happy and healthy, including taking them on walks. The fact that my dogs were excited to see her every morning at drop-off says everything. I’d happily trust her with them again.

About: Howl Hut is a brand new pet sitting service catering to WNY. Becky is 27 years of age and has eight years of pet care experience, such as; doggy daycare manager, head trainer, bather, grooming assistant, kennel attendant, etc. She is located in Tonawnada and accepts dogs of all shapes and sizes into her home. Her husband being 29 years of age and also having years of pet care experience as well. MEET-N-GREETS ALWAYS REQUIRED Doggy Daycare Daycare is hosted at my house. Remember we have two dogs and a child, so a Meet-n-Greet will be necessary if your dog is to be regular. This meet-n-greet will take place in my backyard, without the owner present so we can get an idea of how they'd react while alone. Daycare includes one daily photo, breakfast, lunch and dinner if necessary and some play time in our backyard or a walk (with a variety of equipment for safety). Dogs are allowed to have accidents since I have hardwood floors, but if the dog is sick it will need to either be picked up or dropped off at your house. Sick includes: vomiting, diarrhea, and coughing. I have CBD treats for anxiety, and treats to give the dog to make them more comfortable. If a regular, they will have to do well with all the other dogs in daycare and a part of my home environment. If they show any signs of aggression, they'll be denied. The puppy fee is $50 due to the amount of accidents they'll most likely have. Hours of operation: 7am-7pm If you need an early drop off or late pick up, it is $5 for every 15 minutes late or early. Dog Boarding We used to specialize in house sitting, but since having our firstborn, we much prefer having the dogs come to us! This way if they make a mess, it is in our home and is our responsibility to find the mess and clean it. We can keep an eye on them 24/7 since this is where we live, and are comfortable with the area. There is an emergency pet clinic less than a mile away, and we couldn't be closer to Ellicott Creek Park where we can take your dogs on nice, long, enjoyable walks. You don't have to pay extra for daily walks, but we do have add-ons such as training sessions, bye-bye baths, nail clippings, ear cleanings, teeth brushings, etc. Meet-n-Greets are REQUIRED before dog boarding or house sitting. Hours of operation: 7am-7pm If you need an early drop off or late pick up, it is $5 for every 15 minutes late or early. House Sitting We DO still house sit, but I would much much much rather prefer them over my house. If you do insist on house sitting, it's still $40/night, but we may not be able to sleep over the house due to responsibilities as parents. I would recommend crate training AND investing in security cameras for house sitting, that way we can lock up the house and be satisfied knowing there are cameras for any emergencies like break ins or fires, and you know your dog is safe, and not able to be destructive, eat any undesirables, or have any accidents outside of the crate. Dog Boarding: $40.00 a night ($20 fee for more than one dog) Drop-In's: Drop-In visit's are nice when you are going out for the day and you need someone to let the dog/'s out, give them food, and let them go potty outside. It's a 30 minute session with them doing whatever you would like us to do! Give them TLC, take them for a walk, play with them, whatever your heart desires! MEET-N-GREETS ALWAYS REQUIRED $20/per drop-in Walking: We provide dog walking. We can drive up to twenty miles from our location. It costs one dollar for each driving mile, there and back. If you live 7 miles from our location, it'll cost you $14 for the walk which is a standard 30 minutes. If you would like an hour walk we do provide that but it would cost twice as much. Walking: $1/mile - 30 minutes $2/mile - 1 hr Transport: We provide transport as well. If you're a breeder, someone who needs to get their dog to the vet, groomer, daycare, etc and can't because you need to get to work, we provide the convenience of transporting for you. Pickup and or drop-off. Just like it is for walking, it's $1/mile. I'm a stay-at-home mom at the moment, and looking for an extra source of income! I am available all day everyday, very flexible schedule, especially since my husband works from home. With years of experience, I'm always aware that customer service is extremely important, along with treating the animals you're watching as if they're your own. I will send multiple updates, pictures, and send the dog home with a report card and a picture!

About: I've fostered and trained 14 puppies until they found their forever homes, with organizations like R.A.R.E Rescue and Big Fluffy Dog Rescue. I especially love teaching puppies tricks, such as "sit," "spin," "come here," I can teach them to recognize their names, and I can potty and crate train as well. I used to volunteer at the Nashville Humane Society walking and socializing dogs and cats, and I have experience taking care of animals with special needs or special medical instructions. I love taking pictures of cute moments and will make sure any animal staying with me is loved and cared for! I've had both cats, dogs, and a snake as pets, and I have experience petsitting other animals for neighbors such as different reptiles, ferrets, and bunnies, so I'm definitely capable of taking care of any animal with specific instructions. I am self-employed and work from home, so pet care fits perfectly into my schedule. I have flexible hours and can be available for last minute requests. I also have a car to swing by at any time to take dogs on walks throughout the day or even drive to a dog park. I just moved to New York from Tennessee, so I'm a little new to the area. If you have any special requests, I'd love to help out in any way I can!

About: I have raised two dogs (one large bread and one small bread) both from puppy to 16 & 17yrs old. I have had three cats (one still residing with me). Currently I dog sit two fur babies since 2020. In a week I am losing one of my buddies due to his parents relocating. I am already missing him and am hoping to make some new walking and cuddling partners. I work part time on weekends but can sit with advanced notice. Monday til Wednesday I am available for anytime on shorter notice. When I have your furry sweetheart I do not leave them by themselves at all,so I like to schedule when there is nothing to conflict with the time I have them. When in my house they have no restrictions from me, only what the parent wants. I have an outside bathroom area on leash for quick bathroom trips. I like to go for at least one or two long walks per day, weather permitting and your dogs abilities. I live in a walkable neighborhood and close to parks. When at your house I will follow whatever routine your partner is used to.

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Tonawanda

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Tonawanda on Rover is $33.3 per day (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 231 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Tonawanda. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Tonawanda commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 231 sitters in Tonawanda, 84% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
