“Heidi dropped in twice a day to feed our two cats and play with them while we were away on vacation for a week. It was less stress on the cats to be able to stay home and stick to their normal routines while we were gone. About: I have had both dogs and cats my entire life and don't want to be without them ! My Husky Sharpei mix, Lily passed away in 2021 after 16 years of a long healthy life. It was a hard loss, so I started spending time with other people's pets and decided to turn it into a career. Through the years of petsitting i have learned alot about different animal personalities and i have gained experience with different levels of care. Some of the pets i have watched suffered from high separation anxiety, and have special needs. I have experience giving diabetic shots, administering oral medication, and topical oitments on cats and dogs. I have experience with extended stays, my longest so far being a month. I also have experience watching multiple dogs and cats. I have watched reactive dogs in the past and I am comfortable doing so if i know their triggers. I’m currently working full time. I am available every 4 hours if you live close to Downtown Champaign. I am also willing to travel within a 40 mile radius to pet sit, but will not be able to drop in if you are far from downtown Champaign Once your gone I pretty much resume your role, while pet care is a priority I still clean up after myself so you won't have to worry about coming into a messy home. Cats and dogs love to cuddle with me on the couch, so they will get plenty of attention hanging out with me.

About: I've lived with and taken care of dogs for 11 years! I love all dogs and animals in general. I'll treat your pet like family, and they will be my number 1 priority while I'm taking care of them. I'll be doing a research assistantship at UIUC over the summer with 8-10 hours per week committed to that. This won't take up the majority of my time, so I'll have more than enough to take care of your wonderful pets! I'll treat your pets just as well as I treat mine. About: Hi, My name is Jennifer. I am currently a first year veterinary student. I am looking always spend time with animals during my free time. I have plenty of past experience. Currently, I have a lovely and mighty 15 year old chihuahua and and hyperactive 1 yr old Shiba mix back in my hometown, Chicago. Here, I take care of my boyfriend’s dog, a gentle and high energy 5 year old pup who we believe is an American Terrier mix. I’ve had so much fun caring for and training all of them. They know how to do their business outside, give a high five/paw, handshake, sit and stay. In the past, I have volunteered as a dog walker and done animal care and medical internships with PAWS Chicago and The Humane Society. Additionally, I’ve walked dogs during my free time through an app. called Wag and I had so much fun. Unfortunately, it’s not available in Champaign. Prior to starting veterinary school, I worked full time as a veterinary assistant at an awesome private practice in Chicago. Everyday, I worked with clients and their dogs, cats, and even some birds! Overall, I am comfortable with dogs and cats of all sizes, ages and temperaments. I am also comfortable with administering medications if needed. Throughout my experience I have developed good husbandry and handling skills that can assure the health and happiness of your pets. I am very patient and willing to play with and teach your pet some tricks. In the future, I hope to become a small animal veterinarian to further care for your adorable furry friends! I’m currently a full time veterinary student . However, my schedule can be pretty flexible since our class times vary everyday. I am generally available on weekends. I am very cognizant of the importance of paying attention to your pets. So when I am pet sitting I make sure that the pet is comfortable, well fed, and having fun. If I ever notice anything abnormal, I reach out to the owner. I also like to meet with the client prior to the home visit to assure that the pet is comfortable with me and so the client can let me know of any pertinent information. Every animal is unique and has their own personality and likes and dislikes, having this information is crucial to me! It helps me assure that I keep the pet in a comfortable and secure environment . During the visit, I like to keep the owner updated and love to send them pictures of their pets. If I ever have any questions, I always reach out to the owner or make sure that I get clarification prior to visit. I also take notes after the initial meeting to make sure I have all pertinent information.

About: I have two friendly cats and backyard chickens. I have had cats and dogs for most of my life. I go trail hiking at local forest preserves and state parks 2-4 times a week and would love to take your dog with me! I only have one dog guest at a time (unless they are from the same home) so I can give them lots of care and attention and provide you with regular updates and photos. You will know your pet is being well looked after. My goal is to make your pet feel like it is on a fun vacation while you are on a fun vacation. Nothing makes me happier than dogs I've cared before, coming back and pulling on their leash to come into my house on their next visit! I only work half-time so I have plenty of time for pets. I know how important your pet is to you and I'm very responsible. My dog guests are walked at least three times a day including a walk or hike of 30 minutes or longer. They are also able to use my fenced in backyard when the chickens are locked up for the night .

About: I am currently a veterinary student at uiuc looking to watch dogs in the morning before class and in the afternoons/ evenings after class. Excited to meet you and your pet! Full time veterinary student. I would be able to take care of your pet before 7 am and after 5pm throughout the week days! Weekends are generally free. I can easily crate your dog if needed, go on walks, place a harness and observe the dogs while within the home. I am excited to give a lot of loving and attention to your pets.

About: I have a good relationship with cats, domestic or stray. I’ve sat various cats of friends and they’re very happy with the care and company I offer. I’m currently going to school to become a vet tech, so on top of having animal care experience I also have some vet med experience! I have two dogs of my own and spend everyday around all sorts of dogs, miniature to giant! Pets will feel right at home here! I offer an unfenced area for them to run and potty as well as living not far from a dog park. About: I've been raised with all kinds of dogs since I was young, from Pomeranian to Rhodesian Ridgebacks. I'm familiar with puppy behaviors, as well as care for elderly dogs. My days off are Monday & Tuesdays to give me plenty of time to care and play with your pets in the early mornings to overnights. Otherwise I currently work in the community Thurs-Sun 8am-5pm with Wednesdays being 12-5, though I'm able to step away for any walks, drop-ins, or play times needed! I’m well versed in walking, bathing, potty training, and mind enrichment exercises, as well as multiple behavioral and medical conditions. I love caring for animals and have 2 cats and a dog, Siberian Husky, who needs a lot of activity and are spoiled daily.
