We asked Sonja to walk our two dogs, and she was amazing! During the meet and greet, she was very thorough with taking notes and asking questions. We have some special instructions for our two dogs, and she was able to do everything flawlessly! Thank you Sonja!!

Jenny was so great! I have a recent shelter dog that is quite anxious alone, and Jenny was so responsive to his needs. He came back happy and exercised each time, and took to her so well! Her consistent feedback in the walk, how he was doing when she arrived, and the pictures made me feel much better in turn! Jenny is a star :)

About: I have grown up around dogs my whole life and I've had my first (adult life) dog for three and a half year. Wila Rose is an Australian Cattle Dog mix. About a year and a half ago we added another rescue, Buckley Quinn. He is a smart but goofy boy. They both go backpacking with us and we do a lot of hiking on our local public land areas. We enjoy playing around in our yard with our limited dog agility set and learning new tricks. We occasionally go swimming but love jumping and exploring new water areas and hiking trails. Wila and Buckley are a huge part of my life. We enjoy hiking, being outdoor, and traveling as much as possible. We do quite a but of training included but not limited to: agility, scent training, shed training, and just some fun party tricks. I am new to Rover so please feel free to reach out with any questions. I have an acre of land (not fenced in). We love to go on walks and sniffaris at our local parks. Buckley loved to play with other dogs and Wila is more of a people dog. They even loves to go backpacking and hiking which often include 10+ miles a day.

I did not know what to expect, being the first time I contacted a dog walker through Rover. Jessica exceeded all my expectations. She did a fantastic job with taking our dog out for 2 different walks (much longer than I expected) throughout the day. We appreciated the many updates; when she started and ended, during the walks, the pictures, messages, and the summary at the end. I would highly recommend her.

Both of my dogs eagerly await Brandi's visits. She walks my puppy, gives treats to my senior chihuahua, and sends me a detailed summary along with great pictures. I love knowing my pets are safe and well taken care of with Brandi.

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life, growing up with dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, fish, and even a tarantula, animals have always been such an important part of my life. Even though they can’t talk, they quickly become your best friend and constant companion. I believe every animal deserves to be treated with love, kindness, and the best care possible, no matter their age, size, or breed. Over the years, I’ve gained experience with everything from training playful puppies to helping care for senior dogs, including giving medications and basic health care. I also adopted my two kittens when they were just four months old, and they’re now happy, healthy three-and-a-half-year-olds. Caring for animals isn’t just something I do, it’s something I truly enjoy. Hi there! I’m new to Mayville and have open availability to walk, play with, and care for your furry loved ones. I always make sure fresh food and clean water are provided, with bowls cleaned regularly to keep everything sanitary. Whether it’s brushing, playing fetch, going on nice long walks, or just giving them lots of attention and love—your pet’s happiness and care are my top priority! I make sure that my cats home environment is safe for them to roam and not get into too much mischief. Water bowls are cleaned. Food is rotated. Pee pads are changed out and litter is changed once a month while cleaning litter box out daily. I am sure that my cats live in a safe environment and are happy and healthy.

About: Hey there! A little about me, I am a huge animal lover, I grew up with my mom house sitting on rover! So I’m very used to many dogs of all sizes! About: “God speaks to the creatures through the creatures.” -Dr. Chase. “All you need is love.” -John Lennon. Plenty of love I have to give, but I also have the experience of 35 years as a science teacher. I’m well-versed in how animals like dogs and cats talk to us through their gestures. Dogs evolved with humans, and I understand that relationship and how dogs meet our emotional needs. Please read my first four reviews which I received from pet owners that I served even before signing up with Rover. The pet owner decides when treats are allowed, if table scraps are allowed, and how much food to give. The dog decides when it wants to go potty. 😉 Just in case, I usually take the dog out before it decides and always before any discomfort. Snuggles welcome. 🐾🥰😻 When serving you and your pet, I like to send pictures. We can also use FaceTime or Zoom to check in. 🐶🤩 At age 61, I’ve been a retired teacher for 3 years, and my activity level allows me to run or play with your beloved dog. In your home, I follow instructions and do the routine for your beloved just like you would. However, if I’m allowed to give more snuggles, or more walks, or more training than you normally have time for, I’m at your service.

About: I currently have 2 dogs and 3 cats of my own which is why I know how important and nerve wracking it can be to find a sitter you can trust. I’m fortunate to have a solid circle of friends and family that help care for my pets, but I know not everyone has that. Or maybe you do and you just need last minute help. Either way I’m here to help in any way I can. My primary experience is with high energy dogs: primarily huskies, German shepherds and pointers. I’ve trained many dogs but primarily focus on reactivity training. Training skills: • crate training • recall • human reactivity • dog/ small animal reactivity • healing & leash etiquette • car etiquette & car reactivity • threshold boundaries (ex. Teaching a dog not to go out an open door until they’ve been invited) The most important thing to having a well balanced dog is proper exercise. I live on 3 acres and go hiking regularly. If this is something you’d like your dog to partake in, I’d love to have them!! I own my own business so I work my work schedule around my dogs needs. I don’t have kids so my priority is my pups and those I’m helping care for. Trust in a caregiver can take time and varies from pet to pet. However, there are some basics things I ensure I do because it’s made a difference in my dogs’ lives. • Car safety is key, you dog will wear a harness and seatbelt in the car. • Your dog will always be leashed whether it be on a walking leash, long lead, tie out, or tandem leash to my dog who has amazing recall. If your dog is off leash trained, that is something we can discuss one on one. • They will always have access to water • They will never be left alone in cars on hot days • They will always get some kind of exercise.

About: I have owned dogs & cats in the past and have pet-sat for friends my whole life, including drop in visits and overnight care. I recently bought a home and got 2 puppies of my own who I am in the process of training. Once I got my own pups I realized the necessity and shortage of quality pet care and decided I could spend some off-days making some extra furry friends! While I will never claim to be an expert, I will say that training my two pups has taught me a lot about puppy training and dog behavior. Since getting my boys, I have also become very well versed in dog grooming, safety, and first aid. I have experience administering subcutaneous medications, oral medications, and topical medications. I feel confident I can provide safe and loving care for dogs with a variety of needs and personalities. I work a rotating schedule of 12 hour shifts so I spent a few full days a week at home (both week and weekend days). These days I typically stay home and spend time with my own pups, but would love to make time to take care of other pups or have some other dogs join us in the fun in our home! I am open to discussing early drop offs and late pickups. **FOR SAFETY REASONS I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CHANGE A WALK TO A DROP IN DUE TO HEAT* I have two dogs at home - both are poodle mixes under a year old. Both are incredibly dog friendly and have never had any issues with aggression or resource guarding. Neither dog is neutered yet, hence why I am not comfortable doing daycare/boarding with unspayed females at this time. I am also not sure how they handle cats for extended periods. My main priority is safety. For pets in other homes, I follow guidelines that are provided by pet parents as their know their homes and their pets the best :) For pets in my own home, I have the entire lower level of my home puppy-proofed due to having 2 puppies of my own. I have pet first-aid supplies and numerous pet cameras to supervise pets when I am not directly watching them. Because the lower level is puppy proofed, dogs pretty much have free reign and are welcome to play with toys, sit on furniture, and use the available dog beds.
