“Gates was wonderful! He gave us daily updates on the pups (including very sweet photos!) and left the house spotless. He was also extremely communicative, responsive, and attentive. We have a brachiocephalic breed, so they don’t do well in the heat. Gates made sure to keep a close eye on them during walks and let them out at appropriate times so as to not get overheated. We’d love to have him back in the future!”

“Moriah hung out with our mini goldendoodle while we toured Grand Teton National Park. She was great with our dog and took him on an off leash adventure along the Snake River, even cleaning him up when he got wet and muddy. Moriah is also an excellent communicator. I would most definitely have her dogsit for us again!”

“Lily did a great job taking care of my cat and dog over the weekend. She kept my apartment tidy, sent updates, and was a fast communicator. Would definitely book her to dog sit or cat sit again!”

“What a great week our three dogs had with Desi! In addition to having homemade treats made for them, they played, cuddled, got lots of rubs and pats, had someone to reassure them during a thunderstorm, made sure two of them got the meds they required, and had a human to snuggle up to at night. They loved it all! The dogs are trying to talk us into going away again so Desi can come back. Thank you, Desi!”

“Megan is such a treasure! She cared for our higher maintenance dog, our cat, and our house so wonderfully while we’re gone. Our dog especially is prone to anxiety and she absolutely adored Megan (which was a huge reassurance to us while away!) So appreciated Megan’s communication and care and would absolutely recommend and work with her again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Amazing Abby! She took such wonderful care of our dog over a long weekend. Great daily updates and she asked very thoughtful questions during the meet and greet. 10/10 would recommend.”

“Tayler took such great care of our 11 year old dog while we were out of town! She sent updates & photos and he couldn’t have looked happier. We would heartily recommend her and we’ll definitely use Tayler again!”

“Heather did an amazing job with our two large dogs. We have an 85lb Belgian Malinois who came to us from a kill shelter with a bite history, and is insecure around strangers in general. He warmed right up to her (I think he fell in love) and didn't want her to go!! Heather was even able to shave off a giant patch of hardened tree pitch from his belly, which I didn't get to before I left! (Remember, he is a Belgian and they climb trees) Our other dog is an older German Shepherd and Heather took amazing care of her as well, giving her walks and medicine when needed. Usually when we return from a trip the dogs freak out and are super needy, wanting attention because they have been ignored, and hyper because they have not been exercised well. Not the case here!! They acknowledged us and went to bed, the perfect response. Finally, I must say that if I hadn't seen the sheets in the wash I would have never thought she actually lived here during that time. The house was immaculate. If I could, I would adopt Heather into our family!”

About: I have owned pets since I was a kid.. from cats and dogs to birds, turtles, ferrets and even rats! My currently lifestyle of on and off traveling does not allow for me to responsibly keep a dog or cat so I’d love to adopt yours for the day, week, or month! I am pretty available throughout the week unless there is a work conflict. Currently no day is out of question. We can discuss further in chat. The ideal situation is for me to drop by your place and be with the pet in the environment that it is most familiar with. Separation anxiety is real and it’s harder when the pet is also in a new area. I will provide plenty of walks, playtime, & love of course! For pets with separation issues I am willing to stay in-home to ensure your baby feels at ease while you are away.

About: I have grown up around dogs my whole life but currently have no pups of my own so I am eager to spend time with all the furry companions!! With my flexible work schedule thurs-mon, I am available in the morning and afternoon to walk, run, play, and care for your dog. Tues and Wed I have no commitments except taking your pup on an adventure! Your pal will get plenty of love from me!! I get outside no matter the weather and look forward to having a pup pal along for the ride! I am very patient and also knowledgeable in potty training and basic tricks! I am happy to stay over at your home for overnight care or drop in to take your dog for a potty break or walk throughout the day. I can also board dogs at my home. I am very excited to hang out with dogs of any age or size! I adore our canine friends!! I work as a ski instructor from Dec-Apr so I am able to walk and care for pups prior to 745 AM and after 430 PM. I currently do not have a home in which I can sit dogs but when it comes to caring inside your home, I will treat it like my own and leave it better than I found it.
“Meredith was a wonderful caregiver for our elderly cat. She was reliable, a good communicator, and flexible with our schedule and needs. Our cat was well taken care of and our home was in great shape when we returned.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats growing up through today in various cities ranging from Austin Texas to New York City and am very good with animals. Im working full time but hybrid. I can choose which days I go into the office and have flexibility depending on when I am needed. I will spend time and give attention to your pet while taking care of them at your home, as well as take them to the park or for walks!
About: What Sets Me Apart For me, dog sitting isn’t just a job—dogs are my absolute best friends, my ultimate road trip companions, and my favorite hiking buddies. I know firsthand that your pup isn’t just a pet; they are a member of your family, and I treat them exactly like my own. What truly sets me apart is that I have successfully navigated almost every stage of a dog’s life, from the boundless energy of puppyhood to the tender, specialized care required in a dog's golden years. Because I also have a professional background in long-term, high-trust childcare, providing a reliable, safe, and highly communicative environment is second nature to me. My Services & Activities Whether your dog thrives on a quiet routine or loves to be on the go, I adapt to their personality. I offer dedicated dog walking, drop-in visits, and personalized house sitting. My style of pet care includes: Outdoor Adventures: Perfect for high-energy dogs who love hiking, exploring trails, and getting plenty of intense physical stimulation and fresh mountain air. Social & City Manners: I love taking well-behaved pups along for coffee shop runs or car rides, ensuring they get mental enrichment, positive reinforcement, and healthy socialization. Homebody Comfort: For seniors or anxious pups, I am entirely content slowing things down, keeping them cozy, and giving them all the belly rubs and focused companionship they deserve. Every walk or visit includes fresh water top-offs, standard feeding or medication administration if needed, and a detailed update with plenty of photos so you have total peace of mind. Schedule & Availability I work on a flexible, part-time schedule, which means I am not tied to a rigid 9-to-5 office job or a daily commute. This flexibility gives me dedicated, open blocks of time throughout the week to fully commit to your pet. When I am booked for a service, your dog gets my absolute, undivided attention, ensuring their daily routines remain consistent and uninterrupted. Deep Senior Care Experience I spent over 15 wonderful years caring for my previous dog, supporting him through every single life stage from the day he was adopted to his senior years. I understand the patience, gentle touch, and intuition it takes to care for aging pets, whether that means managing strict medication schedules, monitoring mobility, or just providing a calm, comforting presence. Puppyhood & Training Know-How Currently, I am raising my 10.5-month-old English Labrador, Eggs Benedict. If you have a younger pup, you can rest assured I am well-versed in the daily consistency required for puppyhood. I am actively involved in training, reinforcing good manners, and maintaining crucial routines so your pup stays on track while you're away. When your dog is with me, they don't just get a sitter—they get a dedicated companion who understands their needs, respects their routines, and loves them like family. Pet care isn't just a part of my routine—it is my daily lifestyle. I currently raise a 10.5-month-old puppy, so my home naturally runs on a structured schedule of crate training, active outdoor exercise, regular potty breaks, and daily training reinforcement. Professionally, I work in childcare Monday through Thursday. My schedule is incredibly flexible, allowing me to easily step away to pop home, walk dogs, and keep precise feeding and medication schedules perfectly on track. On any given week, a guest dog seamlessly integrates into an active, enriched routine. This includes neighborhood walks, social playdates with trusted neighborhood dogs, and plenty of outdoor time. Because I am already deeply committed to maintaining my own puppy's routine, keeping to your dog’s specific daily schedule—whether they need high-energy hikes or structured crate and rest time—comes naturally to me. Safety First, Always With over six years of professional experience in childcare, safety and situational awareness are second nature to me. I bring that same high level of vigilance, patience, and risk management to pet care. Whether at my home or yours, I am expert at anticipating a dog's needs, managing environments to prevent accidents, and reading canine body language to ensure they always feel secure. In My Home: Structured, Active, and Secure When a dog stays with me, they enter a home tailored for a happy, balanced dog life. Because I am currently raising a 10.5-month-old English Lab, my environment is fully puppy-proofed, secure, and organized around a predictable routine. Compatibility & Socialization: I love hosting friendly guest dogs who enjoy a bit of playtime. We do structured doggy playdates with my close circle of trusted friends and their dogs, ensuring all social interactions are safe, positive, and supervised. Routine & Rest: I am a big believer in the balance of physical exercise and proper rest. My home is set up for successful crate training and designated quiet time, ensuring your dog gets the decompression they need after a fun day. In Your Home: Respectful and Attentive If I am caring for your pet in your home, my priority is maintaining their absolute comfort and peace of mind. Keeping to Their Schedule: I strictly adhere to your established house rules, feeding times, and crating routines so your dog experiences zero disruption while you are away. Home Security & Cleanliness: I treat your home with the utmost respect, keeping it clean, secure, and exactly as you left it. My flexible schedule allows me to make regular check-ins to ensure your pet is never left lonely or waiting for a potty break. No matter the setting, my goal is to build a foundation of trust with both you and your pup, ensuring they are safe, happy, and treated like family.
About: My dad has bred and trained dogs my whole life. And anytime anyone I know goes out of town I’m always the first one they call to watch their dogs. I adore dogs of all sizes, and more often than not, they admire me right back. I have experience with day old puppies, dogs that need extensive after surgery care, old dogs, dogs that have a lot of energy, shy dogs, tiny 4 pound Yorkies, and currently have a Great Dane of my own. All pets are family where I come from and saying “see you later” for few days to your pet is sometimes hard than saying it to a human, because it’s hard to explain to an animal that it’s only temporary. I promise to take the best care of your fur child in your absence. I work full time but have a pretty flexible schedule and aside from my own pup I don’t have a lot of other commitments. So I am happy to work with whatever schedule your fur baby is used to. I understand how important routine and consistency are, especially it nervous, elderly, or dogs in the middle of being trained. You tell me what your dog needs and that is exactly what will happen.
About: I have lived in Jackson for the past three years. Yes, you have seen me running through town with my absurd mullet. You may be wondering why my rate is so cheap, well, I live in a van and believe our community should support one another. I would love to take great care of your pet and get them outside frequently. I used to live with dogs and cats and have thought about getting a pet of my own. I have found I really enjoy taking care of pets before committing to having a pet of my own. Not only does it help you but also gives myself an opportunity to have great company on my walks and other outdoor activities. I am currently working at Black Tie Ski Rentals 3 days a week. Before work, I either go to the gym or skiing. After work, I usually head to the gym or head straight home. Other than part time employment, I have no other commitments, so your pet will be a priority. First and foremost, I ask the owner what they are comfortable with regarding their pet. Next, I will establish a relationship with the pet that makes myself and the pet comfortable. Usually after a day, I find the pet is accustomed to my presence and we get along great. I will respect all of your boundaries and look forward to meeting your furry friend!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Teton Village walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Teton Village maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Teton Village choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Teton Village. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
