I’m a professional pet groomer working to get my in-home grooming service going. In the meantime, I’m doing gig work, which means the most flexible schedule to make it work for you. Excellent at following instructions and communication. I believe in positive reinforcement training and responses to behavior. I’m extremely strong due to my job, and will have no problem handling any size dog with any behavior level. I am well versed in dog body language and psychology.

About: Dogs and cats have always been at the heart of my family and so I would love to help people take care of their furry family members as well! I have wanted to be a veterinarian for most of my life and currently am in school studying Wildlife Ecology. I also volunteer at the Aquarium of the Pacific where I am furthering my knowledge about animals as well as helping to pursue my passion for conservation and the environment. Animals are the center of my social, educational and professional world and so I am so happy to help out other animal-loving families through Rover! My family has many animals and so when I wake up in the morning, the first think I do is feed the animals and take the dogs out to walk! I also end my day taking care of my pets. Fitting in walks, check-ins and house visits will fit very smoothly into my daily routine. In fact, the only times I limited availability for Rover are the times I volunteer regularly at the Aquarium of the Pacific. In the homes of my clients I will ensure that the animals feel as at home and comfortable as possible. Knowing that animals are deeply aware of the absence of their owners, I want to make sure I stick to the usual routine of my clients. The comfort of the animals is my top priority and so I will closely listen to and abide by the schedule of my client. I will also make sure the animals are receiving as much attention as they desire so as to remind them they are loved and haven't been left behind or alone.

About: Eric and Rachel share a love for their beloved Aussie-beagle Lilo and fostering rescue dogs together. We know that it is never easy to leave your beloved dog with someone new, and in a new place. As our own Lilo has struggled with separation anxiety before, we know how important it is to have a pet sitter who is present, patient, and able to cater their care towards a dog’s specific needs. Rachel has taken care of 6 different family dogs growing up, including a border collie, golden retriever, Boston terrier, 2 mixed breeds and a silky terrier. Eric has taken care of his family dog (chihuahua mix) since birth till now (9 years old). Together, we have fostered 12 rescue dogs these past two years, ranging from high energy Great Pyrenees to 3 Border Collie puppies all at once, to a completely afraid and anxious Beagle mama and Shiba Inu mama that are recovering from very difficult situations. We have also looked after a Rhodesian Ridgeback and an American pit bull. Our own dog is a 2.5 year old Aussie-beagle. We both have lots of experience working with dogs of all kinds of temperaments and needs, especially high energy dogs who require a lot of attention and care, and administering medication to dogs who have special needs. Rachel also loves cooking her home cooked meals for her dog, and can do that for yours too, if you need! We both work from home and have all weekends free. Our flexible schedules together allows us to bring dogs regularly on walks and to look after them consistently. We follow instructions really well, and can take care of your dog according to your requirements. We allow dogs to roam and sleep freely in our home, but we can also crate your dog easily if you prefer. We know how to work with your dog with lots of gentle care and love.

About: I’ve been taking care of animals all my life but have professionally done in the past 6 years! I love spending time around animals and I also stay hyper vigilant if there’s any issues going on! I am currently working in sales where I spend all day in Costco, so I'm looking for a way to get outside and make a new community of friends, and get some walk and play time in with a furry friend! Always more than happy to make time for your pet! I have a cat named Theo and he gets fed on a schedule three times a day, which seems to the perfect mix. I like to keep pets on a schedule and active so that they’re getting all the enrichment and care that they need! If there’s not a fenced in yard, I’m happy to go for a walk!

About: I love dogs and animals - they really are the best! I have owned three for many years, raising two from being puppies, and addressing challenging behavior with an older doggo, in addition to fostering multiple rescue dogs. I recently moved to WI, and my pets stayed home with my partner for now, and miss my furry companions and want to provide love and care for yours while I’m here! I am happy to work with you on what’s best, whether that is house sitting, boarding, or simply letting your animals out on walks or to go potty. Let’s chat! I currently work from home and have a remote job, so can provide your dog with any needs or attention that makes sense based on their schedule. I have some in-person meetings that occur throughout the week, and am generally around on the weekends regularly. If planning on boarding or daycare, my apartment is very dog-friendly, with many residents having pets and there are plenty of amenities available, whether walking around the neighborhood on leash or playing in the apartment’s fenced in dog run, that will give your pet what it needs. I can easily crate, take out for potty breaks, etc. I am also mindful of dog reactivity regardless of my own or neighbor’s dogs.

About: Hi, my name is Geissy (“jay-cee”) and I have loved dogs for as long as I can remember! Growing up, they were always a part of my life, teaching me about unconditional love and the joy they bring to the human experience. Caring for them feels like second nature to me—it’s a passion. I’m a neuroscientist, psychologist, and meditation teacher originally from Brazil, now living in Madison with my amazing husband who is from Wisconsin. Back home, I come from a family with two wonderful dogs who I miss dearly. Before them I was lucky to take care of other three different dogs, from young to old dogs, and watched my friends pets as they needed. We use to joke that I make dogs and cats meditate because they just sit around me when I am doing my practice 😄 🧘🏽‍♀️. More recently, I had the joy of walking our senior dog every day until her passing a few months ago. She was a sweet, grumpy 14 year-old lady who loved to smell all the things in the neighborhood. Her absence has left me with so much love to share, and now I’m eager to bring that same care to your furry friend. With my flexible schedule, I can dedicate the time, attention, and care your pet deserves. Whether it’s a brisk walk, a slow stroll, or simply giving them the affection they need, I’ll treat your dog like they’re my own. And yes—I’m ready for those chilly Wisconsin winters!
