About: As many other animal-lover's, I have had animals in my life ever since I was born. My very first pet was a black cat named Korn that my parents adopted right before having me! Ever since I have never been without animals in my life. I'm knowledgeable in care for cats, dogs, reptiles and other herps, fish, birds, and horses. I personally have two German Shepherds, a cat, and crested geckos. My dogs I got as puppies and trained them with my mother, so puppy duties are easy for me too! Additionally, I used to work as an adoption manager and took care of two facilities that specifically adopted out cats, so I've worked with many different kinds of cats of different ages and disabilities. I have a plethora of experience with many different species and breeds of those species! My schedule is completely open and flexible. I'm able to be molded into your schedule as you need it! Some Saturday's or Sunday's I will be vending at fairs, but they're not often and only a few hours during the one day! I take care of my own animals whenever I am home. I have two german shepherds, one cat, and crested geckos. The mammals in the house all have the same food schedule. My dogs get lots of outside and inside playtime with me and each other! I love playing with Eva too, and she is big into snuggles (drool city when petting her). I also have crested geckos and have their own personal schedule I attend to (feeding 2-3x a week, watering daily, handling the young ones to get them adjusted to human touch.

Examples: Bichon Frise, Maltese, Lhasa Apso, Mini Poodle, Shih Tzu, Havanese, Yorkie, etc.. Please keep in mind that we won't be a good match if any of the following apply to your dog: 1) requires diapers or is otherwise not housetrained (except for rare accidents), 2) has extreme anxiety about being alone, 3) can jump a 4 foot fence, 4) is a shedding breed, 5) dementia-like behaviors (howling at night, disorientation, etc.,) 6) cannot do steps (we have 9 steps to get to our backyard), 7) is destructive (chews furniture, etc.), 8) is blind or mostly blind 9) requires an overnight potty break (rare occasions are fine). Your dog will be with one of us most of the time. When we leave a dog home alone, its usually not for more than 3-4 hours. Our yard is fenced and the neighbors on either side and back of us do not have dogs. We have a camera with audio in our front room to supervise when we're out. Most dogs sleep in bed with us. Please label any items you bring with your dog's name. We provide bowls, poop bags, toys, a crate (just in case), blankets, leashes. Its not recommended to bring toys because other dogs may destroy them.

About: As a child, I had both cats and dogs in the house and we frequently took in abandoned animals, treated their medical problems, and found them homes (sometimes, that ended up being OUR home!). I have been pet-sitting and doing drop-in visits for friends and neighbors since I was a teenager and I've never met an animal that I didn't get along with. I believe that all dogs can be good dogs if they're approached with patience and dedication. As an adult, I've fostered for rescue groups as well as volunteered, doing intake, cleaning, and assisting with medical treatment. I've done drop-in visits and house-sitting for animals with special needs that required medication, special feeding, or subcutaneous fluids. I have a close relationship with my vet and his staff as well as many other resources to help me make good decisions regarding caring for my own animals. I currently have a boxer/pitbull mix who was born in a foster home and adopted through Fetch rescue. I also have two cats and several fish currently in my home. If I'm house-sitting or doing drop-in visits for your dog(s), I don't mind checking in on other critters. I've had many different kinds of pets in my life. Please feel free to call or text me with any questions about me or my skills. I work part-time and I have a very flexible schedule, so I can make time to walk dogs together or individually. I feed my dog on a schedule when we're alone, but she adjusts easily when we have other dogs stay with us. I have a small fenced-in yard, which my is allowed to roam free in. We have a fairly quiet neighborhood to walk in, and we live close to a couple of dog parks. We have a crate, a folding corral, and baby gates to separate spaces if we need to. I have two large dog beds and several cat beds around the house.

“Carla was great. She showed up on time and got our dog out for a walk for us while we were gone. Would absolutely love to have her car for our dog again.”

About: Hello fellow dog lovers! I am currently a Madison resident and Rover employee for 5 years. I have been dog walking and sitting both independently and through dog walking apps. Although I do not currently have a pet, I am delighted to get my fix of dog love by caring for your furry friend. I have adopted a pup of my own in the past, and I know first hand that a busy schedule can really interfere with your dog's needs . The main reason I joined this business is to solve that problem . I am knowledgeable in pet safety and some beginner training . I am very flexible with my schedule since I am self employed , and I do my best to stay in communication with you throughout the visit. I can't wait to meet you and your pet! I am currently self employed and have a very flexible schedule, so I am able to take some last minute requests most of the time. I live in Sherman Village area, and am just steps away from the beautiful Cherokee Marsh Unit, where many walks and dog park visits await.

About: I have had a cat for the past 13 years, and a dog for the past 5 years. Even after moving out of my parent’s house, I give them both care on a weekly basis. I can walk dogs of any breed, any distance. I simply love all animals and think they deserve quality care! I am a Graphic Design student at Madison Area Technical College part-time. I have a part-time job as well. That said, I have ample free time throughout my week and weekend for pet care! I always make sure to offer a calm/warm presence and give them the care they need to be happy pets. I believe it is important to feed, walk, and spend time with pets regularly and timely.

“Henry was on time, attentive and took good care of my dog on their 1/2 hour walks. I would definitely recommend Henry for dog walking.”

About: I have experience with both cats and dogs! I currently own two wonderful male cats who are emotional support animals. I would love to watch your animals as my cats would love a friend to play with. Walking dogs is also a huge hobby of mine; not only to get exercise myself, but for the dog to get fresh air for a period of time. I would make sure your animals are well fed, watered, and taken care of to your liking. As a pet owner, I understand how scary it may be to put your baby in someone else's care. I would love to ease that stress by doing whatever possible to care for your animal. I would love to also do drop by visits for those who may not be comfortable leaving your animal at someone else's house. Not only do they need taken out every now and then to use the bathroom, but dogs are very social animals that need periodic attention. As shown in my reviews, I have the experience to give the best care possible to your pet! During the week, I have a couple shifts that are 8 hours long from 2:30-10:30 so I will not accept boarding or drop ins during that time frame, but periodically do drop ins before I head off to work. I give care to your pets however their normal routine is - we will complete a meet and greet before booking to go over this.

About: With over 15 years of hands-on experience caring for a wide range of animals, I’ve developed a deep understanding and genuine love for pets of all sizes and personalities. My experience spans from large dog breeds to small animals like guinea pigs and rats, giving me a well-rounded skill set in animal care. I have extensive experience administering medications, including insulin injections for diabetic pets, as well as oral and topical treatments for a variety of conditions. I’m confident in handling pets with medical needs and always prioritize their comfort and safety. In addition, I’ve worked with reactive dogs and understand the importance of patience, calm energy, and proper behavior management techniques. Whether it’s a high-energy pup or a shy, sensitive companion, I tailor my approach to meet each animal’s unique needs. Caring for animals isn’t just something I do—it’s part of who I am. Even with a full-time job, pet care is a consistent and intentional part of my daily routine. I structure my mornings and evenings to make sure my Lab is well-fed, gets her medication, and has time for mental and physical stimulation. Whether it’s a walk, puzzle toy, or a short training session, I build these moments into my day because they’re important—for both her well-being and our bond. Caring for animals isn’t something I squeeze in—it’s something I prioritize and make time for, every single day. I currently share my home with a purebred Labrador, and while I previously cared for two cats and have experience with guinea pigs, my passion for animal care remains just as strong. My Lab is fed two to three times a day, with a consistent morning and evening routine that includes administering her daily medication. Mental stimulation is a big part of our day—I regularly switch up her feeding methods and use a variety of enrichment toys and puzzles to keep her engaged and mentally sharp. I also believe that training shouldn’t stop after puppyhood. We continue to work on new tricks and reinforce good behavior through positive, ongoing training sessions. Caring for animals is something I take seriously and joyfully. Whether it’s daily routines, health needs, or enrichment activities, I make sure the pets in my care feel safe, stimulated, and loved.

About: I have been taking care of animals since I was 10 years old. Dogs and cats always take a real liking to my personality. I have been sitting for family and friends for a couple of years now. My family and friends have relied on me to watch, feed, and even bathe their animals while they were away. I currently have a full time job, I am available during Friday afternoons to Sunday evenings. If you need a walker or a drop in sitter, I am available during the nights after 5:30pm. At my home I have a fenced in back yard, also with a park down the street from my home. I am able to take care of the animal full time during the weekend, taking them on routine walks throughout the day. I can also provide love and affection for an needy animal that has anxiety. I'm currently full time pet mom trying to give my puppy the proper care he needs. I am free during day if you need your pet taken care of as well! If that is dropping by or walking your dogo! At my home I have a fenced in back yard, with a park down the street that I enjoy taking my dog to! Also, about 8 minutes away is a dog park that I would take the dogs to! I will give them affection, time, and my devoted attention when they are in my care.
